wishing I was Rihanna

Dalmatian collar-River Island, Jacket-H&M, Lipstick-John Lewis, Bag-some wacky place in Sheffield

Top-H&M, Skirt-H&M, Socks-Primark, Shoes-Ebay

Some stuff I got in the sales, quite proud of myself for not spending more than I should! The skirt reminded me of the Mcqueen dress that Rihanna wore on X Factor. Naturally, a tartan/Rihanna/creepers combo had me in love. My outfit's kind of inspired by hers..if only I could spend every day prancing about pretending I was half as cool as she is. Haha.

The bag I got from some little hippy place, I think it'll be really cute in the summer. It was hand made in Thailand and only £7. Lovely jubbly.

Also have a look out in John Lewis for their discounted make up, I found this lipstick for £11! YSL is a little out of my price range at the minute, so at half price (and the fact I'm a sucker for posh packaging) I couldn't say no.

gothy outfit

Top-Next, Shorts-Charity shop, Belt-Primark, Shoes-Docs

Wearing black and lace and sheer things is probably one of my favourite ways to dress. I'm pretty sure everyone has an inner goth.

The top I got from a Next clearance place the other day, it was an absolute bargain. £32 reduced to £3! It'll be really nice tucked into things for going out and what not.

I've picked up a very eclectic mix in the sales (includes a Rihanna type skirt and dalmatian print stuff..). I'll prob do a post on that in the next few days.

love velvet

Wearing the dress I got in the sales, couldn't love it more. The velvet is so soft and it's a really flattering fit. Hopefully these pictures are a bit better as I've invested in a tripod (wahay!). I ended up taking my tights off because I am sickkkk of wearing them. Hurry up summer.

I went shopping today in the hope of getting some more creepers but no luck. It annoys me that Office hardly ever has them in the shop, and the Jeffrey Campbell selection on the website is crappy. Surely there's enough people after them! I'm desps for the black velvet Litas, and leopard print creepers. They are both soso cute.

The only things I did get today were these earrings. The unicorn ones are literally the sweetest things ever.

lovely presents

Ahh Christmas is over! Whilst I didn't do anything too exciting it's nice to just chill, watch films and eat until you feel like you might die.

I'm so happy with all my presents, my family & friends spoiled me! I got the usual underwear/pyjamas/money type things, but the bits and bobs above are my faves. My new Docs haven't been off my feet since I got them. Mamma definitely did good. They're really comfy due to the lining so no pain wearing them in, yay.

I braved the sales today & picked up the velvet dress. I nearly squealed when I found it reduced to £18 from £30 (£16.20 with student discount ;)) as I had talked myself out of buying it at full price. I really am tight with spending on clothes, yet I'll quite happily pay a ridiculous amount  for a lipstick..hence being stocked up on make-up and continuing my Illamasqua/Mac love affair.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmassy time, now hurry up New Year thank you :)

wearing new stuff

Wearing the bits I got from my charity shop spree today. My mum looked at me like I was a crazy girl when I showed her the jumper, but I think it looks okay when it's on. I can't get enough of slouchy jumpers in the winter, as they're always good to be lazy in and look nice tucked in to skirts etc.

The trousers are a bit big on the bottom of my legs, but I kind of like them as I never really wear proper bottoms. I'm not a trouser type person, but maybe it's time to change things up a bit. I'll try not to go too crazy..this is a big step for me. Ha.

I feel such a silly blogger for my really bad pictures but I'm a newbie and don't get photography and all that kind of thing :(

Oh yerrrr and its christmassssss soon

dressing up for Christmas

Dress-Bank, Belt-Primark, Jewellry-Pandora & some other scruffy bracelets..

Just a quick show off of my outfit for a larvly Christmas ball I went to with my course. It was quite a posh do so we went all out on the glamour. I really am the most mainstream person when I go out, I like a nice dress, heals, fake tan and big hair.

I hope my attempts at smiling aren't, I've been told I'm like Chandler on Friends as soon as the camera flashes. Deary me.

being girly

Hat-Market, Cardigan-Charity shop, Dress-New Look, Socks-Primark, Boots-Charity shop

Not dressed very appropriately for the weather, but I was just chilling in the house playing dress up. Very sad . I was looking for something to feel a bit more like a girl, as over winter I tend to go a bit goth.

This dress was from New Look ages ago, it makes me feel a bit like Wendy in Peter Pan. I love pastels and can't wait for the summer to be able to go out in flouncy dresses and frilly socks. Nothing better than a cutesy overload! Until then I'll be wearing these type of things with thick tights, a big coat and the wolf hat.

charity shop haul

Went charity-shopping today in search of studded belts for some DIY's. No such luck, but ended up with these beauts instead. I've been wanting some pink girly pink tops for a while now as I'm forever in black. I especially love the black trousers, they remind me of the America Apparel riding pants which unfortunately, as a skint student, I won't be able to afford for the foreseeable future :((. These bits and bobs cost me just over a tenner, result!

I'm going to be wearing the long sleeved pink jumper with my wolf hat for a Christmassy trip out, I need the extra snuggle factor.

still wearing crop tops in winter

Necklace-Momma's, Top-Charity shop, Leggings-Zara, Socks-Primark, Shoes-Primark

Blimey I'm such a serious looking person. I'd had one of those Scouse-brow disasters where your eyebrows end up looking like you've stencilled them in, whoops.

Had a bit of This Is England 88 inspo when I was getting dressed. I bloody LOVED the Christmas special, and have watched it on 4od that much my outfit ended up swaying that way. The shoes are really clumpy brogues that look kind of like the Doc Marten version, definitely worth it for the £8-ish they cost me.

As if Christmas is only a week away! I'm already thinking of what to wear for the day. I'm hoping somebody will have taken one of my many hints and there'll be a lovely little festive item wrapped up for me..

short shorts

Jumper-Charity shop, Belt-Primark, Shorts-Topshop, Tights-Pretty polly, Red shoes-Primark

Bearing a little too much ass here, but I'm a sucker for shorts that are closer to being really large pants. I wore this with a my big furry coat so I wasn't quite so exposed!

The shoes I'm thinking of doing a DIY on, as the heals are some ugly wood effect. Maybe plain black or glitter? A distraction from crazily boring uni work is definitely needed.

animal hood

Animal hood-Market, Velvet shirt/dress-Charity shop, Tights-Pretty polly, Creepers-Ebay,Chiltern bag-Charity shop

Sorry this outfit's already been up, I just wanted to show off my fave purchase of the winter. Had a nice trip to a Christmas market this weekend, and found this little wolf hat for £20 (markets are getting expensive!). Apparently I look like a teddy bear..

I'd been lusting after the Spirit Hoods for a while, but over £100 on a hat that makes you look a tad silly is a bit mental I think. However if someone gorgeous was feeling generous I wouldn't say no! I do feel a bit daft but its so warm and when I'm 40 I doubt I'll be able to get away with this kind of thing..sob.

Thought I'd include a close up of my favourite bag and most loved charity shop purchase. It was £3 and it's really good quality. Charity shops can be naff, but you just have to be open minded.. and put clothes on a boil wash!

Hope everyone's enjoying the festive period..
