Missguided festival outfit & GIVEAWAY!

Hat – Boohoo, Choker – DIY, Studded Waistcoat – c/o Missguided, Mesh Top – c/o Missguided, Belt – Primark, Neon Skirt – c/o Missguided, Boots – Office

So, this is my third and final giveaway for a good while. Things all fell at once & I’ve ended up doing them one straight after the other, but you might as well try bag yourself some goodies while you read through my rambles right?!

Missguided asked if I fancied being involved in a bloggers festival styling thaaang they’ve got going on, which I was obviously up for! I’ve never been to a festival & the chances of me getting to one any time soon are pretty slim (skint times).. but that does not mean I am going to be missing out on all the festival fashion options. If I do ever get myself down to one, I will be making the most of wellies, floral head gear & crazy outfits that you couldn’t normally get away with. Today I went for mesh & neon, two of my favourite trends that I think would look hot even at the most rainy, sludgy & grey of festivals.

Now go get entering & give yourself the chance to start your festival wardrobe off nicely! ;)

naughty haul.. whoops

Eye Vest - Zara Sale (£7.99),  Midi Rings - Primark, Scrunchies - Primark (£1.50 ish), Bun Rings - Primark, Patterned Trousers - Zara Sale (£15.99), Cream Jumper - H&M Sale (£7)

So apparently, when you’ve got a holiday booked you lose all self-control shopping wise. GREAT. Hello skint Lydia sobbing into ice cream because she save money. Ha. Ah well.. It is New York after all. I’ve got to have the perfect holiday wardrobe right?!

I think the Zara sale was a killer for anyone that’s clothes obsessed. I took so many things into the changing rooms just because I wanted to have a ‘dream shopping sesh’.. where you just pick up whatever as if you can actually afford everything, then drag yourself back to reality by only buying the bits you can justify (often nothing at all.. Ha).  I got the top & trousers to travel in. They’re like fancy pyjamas. So comfy! I ended up buying them both in bigger sizes because I couldn’t find mine & I really wanted them, does anyone always else do this in the sales?!

The accessory bits are all from Primark. They have some really lovely jewellery bits in at the minute. I had to stop myself picking up more rings than I could ever possibly need.

shirt dress & floral head band

Floral Head Band - c/o Emma Warren, Shirt - Primark, Shorts - Topshop, Boots - Missguided

I’m wearing one of those outfits where you’ve had a complete fit about having nothing to wear for a night out & have ended up chucking any old crap on. The shirt & shorts are both really old, but they’re wardrobe essentials that I refuse to throw out. We all need tiny black shorts for those ‘I don’t wanna flash my ass’ days & a sheer black shirt goes with everything.

As it’s now summer, it’s officially floral head band season right?! This baby pink one pretties up any outfit. I’m going to wear it with a white dress next to maximise summery-ness.. now can the sun just come back please?!

lust list: co-ordinates

1. Rihanna for River Island Shirt (£45), Crop Top (£25) & Shorts (£25), 2. Rihanna for River Island Tie Dye Top (£20) & Shorts (£35), 3. Miso Harlequin Two Piece (£10) & Leggings (£7), 4. Boohoo Lime Sequinned Top (£20) & Skirt (£25), 5. Boohoo Mesh Cut Out Top (£12) & Skirt (£12), 6. H&M Cross Skirt (£12.99) & Trousers (£14.99), 7. Rihanna for River Island Crochet Top (£35) & Skirt (£45)

Co-ordinates are the things I'm lusting after way too much right now. Clothing websites adding a 'Co-ords' section just isn't helping! This trend is probably my favourite in a long time.. so much so that I spent the day looking for the perfect matching set to wear to an interview. Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything that fit my teeny budget, but had I had pennies to spend I would have been treating myself. BOO, I hate being skint!

I do actually have the Boohoo lime green number & the Miso set in my wardrobe, but the former was bought with my vouchers from winning the #globalstyler competition & the latter was just a bargain I couldn’t leave behind. My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw this in Republic (they also sell it in USC).. you don’t normally find stuff like that in there! It’s going straight into my case ready for New York.

There are quite a few bits from the Rihanna for River Island collection up there so sorry if it’s not really your thing! I just think that collection does 'matchy-matchy' so well.. now can I just borrow Rihanna's face & bod so I dare wear any of it. Ha.

cream fancy dress & huge heels

Hat - Boohoo, Dress - c/o Ukulele, Boots - Missguided

Say hello the the prettiest of dresses. It's a little beauty right?! I feel like a little dolly in it which I don't mind at all. My mum has gone mad for it & is practically begging me to wear it for graduation.. a definite maybe I think. I've been searching high & low for a grad dress that is perfect for the occasion.. i.e. not too slutty, not too boring but not too out there. Girl probs ey?!

I know I look a complete dork in the GIF but I do get bored of seeing my silly posey face all the time. I promise I'm not as grumpy as I look! The boyf was attempting being my bloggy helper, but the result was just me dancing like an idiot in front of the camera. I think I might have to do a blog outtakes post, there really are some horrendous/hilarious shots of me having a blogging fail.

BOOHOO £200 GIVEWAY & #globalstyler update!

I’ve got another giveaway for you today.. exciting stuff! Now I know I only did one the other week, but it’s just how things have fallen time wise. Hopefully that’s alright.. I don’t want people thinking I’m trying to ‘buy’ followers, it’s just the opportunity has been there recently & it seems daft to let you miss out on goodies!

A couple of months ago, some of you may have seen that I went & won the Boohoo #globalstyler competition (eek!).. with the prize being an amazing holiday of a lifetime & some spends at Boohoo. Yep, I did scream quite a bit & spent the day/week skipping around the house. I haven’t mentioned it much as stuff like this never happens to me & I half keep expecting someone to tell me it was all a big joke! If it wasn’t for you guys, nothing like this would have ever happened to me & my life would still have been pretty dull, so rightfully so £200 of the winnings is up for grabs!

Now, what do we think of me blogging from New York?! As if I am even saying this!

girly dress & chunky boots

Dress - c/o Skinnie Belle, Socks - Primark, Boots - Aggy X Dr. Martens

I’m looking pretty girly today aren’t I?! As much as I like a grungy outfit, I still love a pretty little dress. The sort that your mamma approves of. Yeah, my lovely ma doesn’t even bat an eyelid anymore when I wear big clumpy shoes, but I do like putting on an outfit that I know she thinks I look cute in. Mamma knows best right?!

I did have to go a little less girly with my big Docs & dark lippy. Wearing a pretty dress with boots is one of my favourite combinations. It’s like yeah, I’m girly, but if you’re mean to me I will stomp on you. LOL. I need to stop being a loser. I’m wearing MAC Sheer Plum on my lips here. It’s one of my favourites, it’s got a bit of a gothy edge without leaving you looking like an Adams family extra.

layered crop tops & new hat

Hat - Boohoo, White Crop Top - H&M, Mesh Top - DIY, Trousers - Charity Shop, Belt - Primark, Creepers - Ebay

I know you're probably all sick of the sight of my DIY mesh top, but it's such a great piece for layering. I'm popping it on under everything sleeveless for days when I want my arms a bit more 'covered up'. Let's be honest, I haven't got many years left where I can get away with wearing fishnets/mesh, so I might as well make the most of it while I can. Starting to feel like I'm a grown up. BOO!

The hat I'm wearing is another newbie from Boohoo that has barely left my head since it arrived. I needed something to take over from my black bowler, and this fits the bill. Don't you think it's the perfect festival hat? Now if only I had a festival to go to!

Veet 'Ready to Glow'

Hat – Boohoo, Fishnet Top – DIY (tights with the crotch & footsies cut out), Dress – Topshop c/o Veet, Belt – Pirmark, Boots – Aggy X Dr. Martens, Veet Goody Bag – c/o Veet

It probably wasn’t the best time to try show you my pins today. Mainly because I ended up getting caught in a big angry storm & looked like a drowned rat by the time I’d finished. Loving the British summer! Naaaht.

I’ve been trying out the lovely goodies from the Veet Dare to Bare campaign over the last few weeks. I’ve got to say that it was one of the cutest packages I’ve ever received. It was all really thought out, & I know these guys are paid to do this stuff but boy they did good! I’m now stocked up on summer essentials. I’d even been fancying this little Topshop dress.. it’s my sort of thing for days when I want to be comfy & put in minimal effort.

The Veet goodies were much appreciated, as they’re the kind of things that I always want to try but can never really afford to splurge on. Let’s be honest, a crappy razor from Asda is a cheaper option. I’ve now realised that you are probably better off spending a few extra pennies on something like the waxy stuff. I’m forever looking like an extra from a horror film after butchering myself with the razor, and while there is no doubting that waxing has the ‘ouchy’ effect, it does leave a better finish.

The hat is a newbie from Boohoo by the way & I’m in freakinnnn’ lurve with it. & yep, that is next doors kitty sneaking into the pictures again.. have you spotted him?!
