tartan & tights

Turtle Neck - Primark, Dress - c/o Boohoo, Gillet - c/o Boohoo, Creepers - Ebay, Bag - River Island
Autumnal overload hey? Ah I love it! I'm going to make the most of the pretty colours until it goes all crap and cold to the point where you feel like you may lose a limb to frostbite. As you can tell, I'm totes looking forward to a freezing UK winter. Not. Ha.

I always think that this time of year is the perfect time to start bringing out the tartan. This little dress from Boohoo is just the way to start doing so.. The strappy neck line sold it completely to me. Unfortunately, it's now too cold for me to wear it without an extra layer.. I'll be getting a vest on soon. Ha, just kidding.. I don't think I can pull off thermals. The fur gillet is also from Boohoo.. Yep, I'm a little bit obsessed with online shopping at the minute! You can never have too much faux fur right? I'm currently lusting after one/all of the fluffy coats Topshop has in at the minute. Apparently, Topshop is the reason I never have any money.

Hope you all have a fabulously spooky evening tonight! I can't wait to be a total Instagram stalker & have a nosey at all the ghoulish outfits. LOVE Halloween.

geometric skirt & a beanie

Beanie - Primark, Top - Republic, Skirt - c/o Lavish Alice, Boots - Missguided
I'm back in beanies! What is Fashion Influx without beanie hats ey?! Maybe like Sam Faiers without Joey Essex, or Mike Wazowski without Sulley. Probably not the best comparisons. HA. I never realised how much of a hat person I was/am until I started blogging. In the summer, it's a fedora, and in the winter, it's a beanie. I guess my head just feels a little lonely without something to keep it cosy!

What do we think to this geometric, kind of wrap around skirt? I'm a big fan.. don't you think it's an updated version of that blogger skort?! I'm definitely someone who jumped on that product hype bandwagon so I'm loving a new take on it. The crop top I've paired it with is actually part of a two piece that I've been meaning to show you for months! One day, I will post it with the matching skirt to show you it in all it's monochrome glory.

spooky Evil Twin OOTN & COMPETITION

Gatacca Crop Top - c/o Evil Twin, Skirt - River Island, Boots - Missguided
Lippy - MAC Cyber

So if you don't like Halloween, you're going to hate my blog this week. Everyone likes a little bit of dressing up though don't they?! Evidently, I'm a massive Halloween fan. I went the extra mile this year with the pumpkin.. the things that Pinterest leads you to eh?! I love the result a bit too much.. I'm sort of wishing that the pumpkin would last forever. Ha.

I have no idea what I'm dressed as by the way. My ma thinks I look like a vampire, whereas I think I'm more of a spooky alien. What do you reckon?! For a night out I'd probably add some fangs or extra black eyeliner.. I only just restrained myself with the make-up this time!

The outfit started with the cut out crop top.. why is everything from Evil Twin so dreamy?! If you're a big fan of theirs like me, then Urban Outfitters are holding a competition to win big with them. How about an Evil Twin spending spree & gig tickets?! HELL YES. The link is below for you to head on over & possibly get yourself some goodies.

trick or treat? HALLOWEEN OUTFITS

Trick Outfit
Choker - DIY, Dress - c/o Boohoo, Belt - Primark, Boots - Missguided
Treat Outfit
Dress - c/o Boohoo, Kitty Ears - c/o Boohoo, Boots - Missguided
Lippy - MAC Dark Side
After leaving the realms of studentdom, this year will be the first in three that I'm not doing anything spectacularly scary for Halloween. Mega disappointing! So naturally, when Boohoo got in touch to see if I'd like to come up with these 'trick or treat' outfits I could not wait to get my spook on. I didn't get chance to do anything crazy with my make up.. But there's still time for me to go overload with eyeliner & fake blood before the big day. Keep an eye on my Instagram (fashioninflux) for that sort of thing..

Now for me, the difference between trick & treat is that the former is cutesy spooky stuff & the latter is more sultry. I probably go for the latter usually.. I will admit that I do shy away from looking too frightening! Plus, I am in love with the sheer cut out dress. Now that looks sexy even before you put plenty of ass into it. Ha. Perfect for a Mortician outfit yes?!

What's everyone dressing up as this year?! I can't wait to sit stalking #halloween on IG to see all the amazing outfits. The problem I have is deciding.. I want to dress up as too many things which means one ghoulish evening is not enough!

birthday outfit!

Hat - Missguided, Turtle Neck - H&M, Top, Leather Jacket, Skirt, Boots - Topshop, Rings - Pandora

So I'm about a week and a half into being 22 and I'm still wondering how I got so grown up. An adult, a lady, a big person. Whatever you call it, I don't feel like I am one. I'm hoping that means I've still got plenty of years left to wear frilly socks & daisy print tops.

These pictures taken on my birthday showcase mamma Fashion Influx's excellent taste. For birthdays & Christmas she always likes to get me an outfit for the day. Luckily, I never have to worry that I'm going to end up in something that would frighten small children. She knows me well, and usually pops along to Topshop or somewhere similar to get me a treat that I wouldn't have the pennies to splurge on myself. Babe eh?! She did extra well this year and went for my favourite daisy print.

The two Pandora rings on my left hand are also birthday presents.. Finally, no more green fingers! I'm already thinking about getting a couple more to stack on top. Why does payday always feel like a million miles away?!

VFNO with Boohoo.. Instagram Roundup

It's not often that I get to do posts on 'Blogger Events'. Mainly because of money probz (forever too skint to afford trains *sob*) & the fact that I can be a completely socially awkward. I usually wimp out of everything blog related, thinking that people will think I'm a total dork. At the ripe old age of 22, I've decided I need to stop being a big baby and be more of a 'Yes girl'. It makes life much more exciting.

So here we go. Last week I popped over to Manchester for VFNO.. it all felt very 'fashion-y'. Love. I got the chance to meet the blogging babes Becca, Chyaz, Lucy & Rosie. It was an evening of insanely yummy food on Boohoo followed by hopping over to the Boohoo bus & a wander round the VFNO sights of Manchester. The result was me now deciding I want to move there. Ha. Due to me being a total fan girl for the whole evening spent with amazing bloggers, the only pictures I managed to get were Instagram snaps. Whooops. Did anyone else make it to VFNO?

new boyfriend coat

Coat - New Look, Necklace - Topshop, Top - c/o SheInside, Trousers - TK Maxx

The rain was not going to stop me taking pictures today. I wanted to show you my new boyfriend coat, but I didn’t think that a torrential downpour would aid me in showing it off. I actually bought this for the Cosmo Blog Awards.. I needed something lightweight that wasn’t going to make my outfit look completely dorky. Luckily, New Look came up with a suitably priced slouchy number. I’m loving all these bright winter coats, but I just cannot afford Topshop’s £100 a time prices! I actually think this one looks like a classic to say it was only £39.99.

Just a quick one today as I have a newly acquired broken laptop. Marvellous! Technology is bloody awful at times isn't it?!

The Blogger Programme

Now, I’m sure that there’s going to be plenty of you out there that will be interested in this sort of thing. After all, it is designed specifically for us bloggers! Basically, the The Blogger Programme hooks up brands with bloggers. The programme allows you to create a profile, adding everything from your social networks to your latest posts. This means there’s no awkward ‘would you like to review my novelty apple peeler’ moments. Yay.

The goody bag above is just a little glimpse of the sorts of things on The Blogger Programme. Aren’t there some pretty bits & bobs?! I think the Baia clutch & the little journal are my favourites. I can’t wait to get scribbling down notes & pretend I’m Sheffield’s answer to SJP. There’s also a gorgeous little turban headband from Beauxoxo (it came in the prettiest packaging ever that I managed to quickly destroy..bad blogger) that I can't wait to wear in some outfit posts.
