So yeah, last weekend was a whole lot better than my usual day off sort of thing. Anyone that follows me on Twitter or Instagram may have seen that last weekend I headed off to Barcelona for the #RUNSUPYOGA event, a global, gals only fitness event. Admittedly, I'm not the fittest person in the world.. The gym frightens me a bit and try as I'm certainly not 'strong' (muscle tone? What muscle tone?!).. Even so, I'm doing my best this year to be a yes girl and this was certainly a step/leap out of my comfort zone. I paddle boarded FGS. Me, on actual moving water. I'm not even sure I like water.. But it was actually a lot more fun than I imagined and that sort of full body workout that doesn't even feel like exercise. I also got the chance to do the morning yoga class on the beach. So. Dreamy. The Barcelona event kicked everything off but they will also be taking place in Hawaii, France, Germany and Australia. If UK comes up, I will be so there!
Even though I was only there for just over 24 hours I came back feeling pretty inspired.. I am a bit of a wimp in general, so getting involved with it all felt quite a biggie! I chicken out of doing so many things, and seeing all these really strong, inspiring girls out there doing their thing really did make me think I don't need to be quite so pathetic. I wouldn't really say I'm thinking of suddenly becoming a professional paddle boarder (I enjoyed it, but I was crap ha), but I'd like to be a slightly stronger person, whether that's being physically fitter or being a little bit less of a wuss. Anyway, that's all a little deep but you get my drift - girl power right?!
Choker - DIY, Coat - c/o SheInside , Corset Thingymabobby - John Lewis, Belt - Primark, Skirt - Primark, Boots - Dr. Martens I’m guessing you’ll have realised these pictures aren’t from today. Oh my days it is snowy up North. My area has got well over a foot of the stuff so I thought you’d let me off with trekking out to take blog pictures! Today I’ve been for a walk with my mamma in the woods so I did get chance to take a few pictures while we had a wander. My outfit basically consisted of lots of layers & wellies.. not exactly on trend! If anyone does want a nosey at the outfits I don't get chance to post on here then there’ll be plenty of pictures on my Instagram (fashioninflux). The little corset thingymabobby I’m wearing is actually what I wore under my dress for prom. Depressingly, that was over 5 years ago now.. when did I get so old?! I’m definitely going to be wearing under some form of sheer shirt when the summer finally arrives. Having a...
Hat - River Island, Jumper - River Island, Belt - Primark, Lace Flares - H&M, Boots - c/o Missguided , Bag - c/o La Moda What does everyone think of the landscape pictures? I included a few today as sometimes I feel like you can’t really see the whole outfit. And the scenery was quite pretty. These pictures were taken a few days ago and my garden is now covered in much more snow. It looks lovely, but golly it’s a pain! I’m not keen on falling over or skidding in my car! I had to get my lace flares out after seeing Lucy look mega gorgeous in hers. I’m really sick of wearing tights and leggings so they make a nice change. They’re very see through so I’ve got a really thick pair of tights on underneath. I think I could have been wearing them in my first year at big school but they’ll do! The jumper I’m wearing has been worn to death since I got it for my birthday. It’s one of those things you can throw on over everything and feel cosy but still l...
Hat - River Island, T-Shirt - c/o Studded Petals , Belt - Primark, Disco Pants - c/o Glamorous , Boots - c/o Missguided I’ve been wanting to show you all this tee since it arrived. What do you think of the slogan?! I love it.. Such fun! Excuse the Miranda reference.. ‘such fun’ has now become part of my lingo. Ha. This is the closest I’ll be getting to anything Chanel related for a long time, which is fine by me.. it’s cute as a button. Fingers crossed though for one day earning enough mega bucks to end up flouncing around with a quilted 2.55 baby. Day dreaming yet again. Hopefully, you’re not all going to be turned off by a disco pants outfit. I know they’ve been overdone, but I’ve never really been the sort of person to be put off by something like that. If I like a trend or piece of clothing, I’ll still be wearing it even when everyone & their grandma’s has it. It’s more how you wear it I think. Annoyingly, I wore the t-shirt down after I’d take...
