FINDING BLUSH AGAIN

Image
MAC Blush in Happy Together, Mocha & Prism, Illamasqua Cream Blush (think this colour may have been discontinued - closest is probably 'Laid') I say finding blush again due to the fact I probably haven't used the stuff for a good two years. It could be the fear of having the Bridget Jones moment, but I think it's more down to the fact I'd found bronzer. To me, bronzer is blush (I'm aware I'm quite probably a beauty blogger's nightmare).. But I always found a   bronzed up glow a lot easier to wear than flushed cheeks.  Since forcing myself to get back into makeup (I was definitely stuck in a cosmetics rut) I have discovered that  blush isn't this scary, pinky hued thing that is about to give my a flushed Father Christmas esq face. I've been keeping it light and sticking mostly to the more neutral tones as a bit of a safety blanket, but I think blush is my next 'thing'.. Y'know, when you suddenly become obsessed with l...

RECENT MAKEUP LOVES

Image
NARS 'Deborah' Lipstick, MAC 'Whirl Lip Liner, Illamasqua  Precision Brow Gel & Angled Brush Just an update on a few recent loves that I've added to my life. I've gone a bit mad with makeup over the last few weeks - I've bought my first ever MAC brush (I know.. what have I been doing) and  updated  my makeup after throwing out a load of disgustingly old stuff. I'm blaming Instagram - I'm always on Pinterest for outfit inspo but Instagram is my go-to for looking at makeup queeens. I'm 23, I wanna be able to do eyeliner totally fudging it up okay. Ha.  There's only one real newbie here. The NARS Lipstick I got at Christmas and I've mainly put it in there because it's just generally a dreamy consistency. The colour isn't something I can pull off every day, but I just love it because of how thick and creamy it is. Plus it's really matte - I'm not a shimmery lip sort of gal. MAC Whirl is up there too as I've bee...

CAMEL EYESHADOW

Image
Camel Eyeshadow - Illamasqua 'Vernau' I just wanted to do a quickie update on this one as basically this is the only eyeshadow I've used since I bought it. I went for it seen as I'm totally drawn into the whole camel trend, even though I don't really own many camel coloured items. I'm normally a boring nudes kind of girl, and while this is still pretty natural it's a bit different than the beige sort of shades that fill my makeup bag. Here I mostly went for that cut crease kind of thaaang. I did attempt a bit of winged liner but rubbed it off when I fudged it up - HOW do people do slick eyeliner?! It's a skill.. One that I'm yet to acquire. I haven't used any Illamasqua products for a good while but I've loved the bits that I have tried. I feel like payday is leading me back there so if there are any other products you can recommend let me know, always happy for you guys to be enablers! youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  faceb...

crescent moon jumper & exciting news!

Image
Hat - H&M, Sunglasses - Primark, Jumper - c/o Daisy Street , Lace Skirt - River Island, Platform Trainers - Charity Shop Lipstick - Illamasqua (Ignite),  Nails - Sinful Colours (Bikini) & Rimmel Matte Top Coat I’m sure I’ll have probably posted an outfit just like this in the past.. I guess it’s just my sort of thing isn’t it? I have just about managed to get out of my all black obsession, but I just thought the jumper went well the the gothy little lace number. The skirt was purchased in the River Island sale many moons ago (hehe worst joke ever Lydia) and has been paired with lots of baggy over sized tops to cover up a bit. I’m actually wearing gym shorts under it.. dead trendy. Not. Ha. On to my big news! A few of you will have already seen me getting all giddy on Twitter/Instagram, but I wanted to let the rest of you know that I only went & won the Boohoo #globalstyler competition! How insane is that?! Especially when so many amazingly styli...
