THE ONE PIECE

Image
I like me a onesie… I guess anything that feels like a comfy, adult sized baby grow is going to be up my street. Comfort always comes first! This one I picked up a few weeks ago, something I went for as a smart/casual option. I’d probably be more inclined to wear it with heeled boots, but right now I’m living in my Dr. Martens sandals. I love the overly chunky style, and I can spend a full day in them without crippling my feet. Confession – I wore them all day whilst stripping wallpaper. Thankfully, they survived the ordeal. I can’t wait to soon give you a house update. At the minute it’s all pretty ugly, but I know I’ll get there eventually! I’m sure there’ll be tearful ‘why didn’t I buy a new build?!’ moments along the way… Although hopefully not too many! I really can’t wait to get things sorted and get into a new routine. HOLIDAY CASUALS

Image
Sunglasses - Celine / Jumpsuit - Boohoo / Snadals - New Look I think this jumpsuit was probably one of my favourite things on holiday, mostly because it pretty much feels like I'm wearing nothing. It's such a relaxed fit in an extra light fabric, just what I'm after when it comes to warmer temperatures. I could live quite happily in this sort of thing... Gimme hippy vibes any day of the week. I've still got a few other holiday outfits to show you, but I think I'm going to just stick to the main ones - this year I really tried to enjoy things more, rather than seeing it as an opportunity to stock up on blog content. I also kept my suitcase (semi) minimal - I got so sick of hearing myself saying 'I'm not taking all that next year I've hardly worn any of it' that I actually practised what I was preaching. Basics are the way forward.   youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  facebook  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  in...

LAZY DAY OUTFIT | BLUSH PINK LOUNGEWEAR

Image
Another day, another loungewear set! To be fair, after going a bit crazy on them I've curbed my obsession with comfy matching combos. I picked this one up as an extra while I was getting some summery bits. It just looked super snuggly, perfect for lazy weekends when I'm wanting to slob out. I wore this last weekend when I was staying in to do some blog work/nap - this stretchy, ribbed material is a dream boat for getting comfy & nodding off in! This blush pink is my colour for the summer that's stopping me being a member of the Adaam's Family. It's extra girly, and while I love my monochrome outfits, I am a girly girl at heart. If I wasn't such an adult-y person now (ICK) I'd still be in frilly socks & gingham dresses. Sigh. I've got a few bits in this sort of tone for my holiday, so if there is any colour involved it'll be along these lines! Set - Boohoo youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  facebook  /  pinterest ...

BOOHOO HOLIDAY HAUL & TRY ON

Image
I’m not going to try play it cool… I’m already reaching that ridiculous level of holiday excitement. Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to get my act together and really sort out my holiday wardrobe – in the end I opted for a big Boohoo haul, getting the bulk of it sorted in one go. This year I’ve gone extra basic. I’m sticking to the colours I know I’ll wear again, and styles that I can add into my summer wardrobe at home. Actually, everything that arrived I’ve really loved! I never want to spend too much on holibob clothing (it seems daft when you spend your days in biknis anyway), so these bits are perfect for a week when my main goal is bronzing up. We’re off to Menorca this year, so expect plenty of holiday posts throughout July. I’m really looking forward to it this time round – as much as I love holidays, I can find the process a bit stressful! I’m a bugger for letting anxiety get the better of me, but I’m feeling much more relaxed about everything...

CASUAL DRESSING | WEEKEND MONOCHROME

Image
When it comes to casual dressing, for me it’s a three-point thing. Flats, extra comfy bottoms and a slouchy bag to lug about all my crap in. On days off, this is exactly the kind of thing I go for. Something I can slob about in without feeling like a total scruff... I tend to go for monochrome to smarten things up a little, I just think it feels more like a put together version of comfy casuals!  Comfy Bottoms Leggings as trousers isn’t something I regularly sport out of the house (in the house it’s a different story – I live my life in leggings) but when it comes to those CBA days they’re my first choice, as long as they’re suitably suck-y in-y. I usually pair them with something that covers up my ass – I’m not quite brave enough to go all out with the leggings & crop top combo. That tends to mean a slouchy top, but as I had my rucksack here I thought I could get away with it. It's all about the comfort, both in not feeling like I'm wearing restricti...

THE BOOHOO ALL IN ONE

Image
Okay. I’m a little bit in love with these jumpsuits from Boohoo. I ended up getting both the grey and white, as I know they’re something I’ll wear more than I should. They’re just really comfy and one of my favourite no fuss options – I can just pop this on and that’s my outfit pretty much done. That’s what I love about jumpsuits… Just having one item that makes up an outfit is so much eeeeasier. Getting into your nuddy pants every time you need a wee – not so much. I’m wearing this one piece with the Rihanna X Puma wannabe trainers I got from Public Desire. I know, this sort of thing isn’t for everyone, but I was after a nude/tan pair that’d go with everything. These fit the bill, plus I don’t really mind too much that they’re basically a knock off – a good thing about living in the suburbs of Sheffield is that a load of folk have no idea what these trainers are imitating anyway. If I had been able to get hold of the originals I would have invested, ...

LOUNGEWEAR LOOKBOOK

Image
Loungewear being a trend has made my life a happier place for the foreseeable future. Essentially, I can now live my life in pyjama like clothing. Brilliant. I probably spent the start of winter dressing quite smart (the shirt and skinny jeans combo has been my go-to), so it's nice to now turn to more casual clothing. I do think you can dress this sort of thing up too - I went with that choker/neckerchief for the first outfit, and a turtle neck for the third just to smarten up those fleecy jumpsuits. They're another level of comfy so I'm going to get as much wear out of them as possible! I've got all the product info in the video description - there is a lot of Boohoo involved, but I've just been loving their casual sets recently! youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  facebook  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

GET READY WITH ME | LOUNGEWEAR & GLAM MAKEUP

Image
I'm sharing a bit more of my 'get ready with me' routine today, with a look I wore this weekend. I was just having a casual day, hence the laid back outfit, but I did have a bit more time to spend on my makeup. I'm definitely the person that spends Monday-Friday wearing next to no makeup, before really troweling it on for the weekend. Lol. Well, I hope it doesn't look 'troweled on', but I just spend way longer on it when I haven't got to head off to work.  The video below includes all the details, with the important bits for how I did my hair & makeup. I'm also loving the co-ord - it's perfect for lazy weekends! I'm definitely thinking of getting the grey option... The loungewear sets that seem to be really big right now are my liiiiife.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /   twitter   /   facebook   /   pinterest   /   tumblr   /  instagram x

THIGH HIGHS.. MINUS THE THIGH

Image
Jacket - c/o Boohoo , Top - Primark, Skirt - ZARA, Boots - c/o Public Desire , Bag - Paul's Boutique I'm trying to get back into taking some outdoorsy pictures. As much as I love my white backgrounds, it does get a little boring, so I'm working on getting back into the swing of blogging outdoors. I know, great time to decide now it's heading into the chillier months. I'm definitely not as brave as I used to be.. Here I'm wearing that jacket I've worn way too much recently. If you follow me on Snapchat (username - fashioninflux) then you'll probably have seen it. I just love the colour for this time of year. It's only a really cheap one, but that's cool with me as I'm thinking this jacket is quite trend led? Anyway, this season I've already got my money's worth out of it. The boots I'm wearing are indeed thigh highs. I love them, but instead of wearing them to flash a bit of thigh I've mostly been wearing ...
