GINGHAM DRESS

Image
Choker & Bracelet - eBay, Necklace - Delilah Dust , Dress - c/o Yayer , Rings - c/o La Moda , Creepers - eBay I think this is my favourite post in a while.. everything is oh so summery (despite the fact it is now greyer than grey) and I feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland. Not that Alice in Wonderland would be clomping about in a pair of creepers.  Anyway, this post is all quite girly and sunshine filled. I'm feeling like I've got one of those primary school dresses on that we all used to wear back in the day but I still love it. I think gingham will officially always feel a little bit childlike for that reason - I just remember it being the frill to my socks for the first portion of my life. Actually, I'd probably still wear frilly school socks too. Some things never change. Jewellery wise I'm wearing what I've been going for everyday - a choker & my little crystal necklace, then a few stacked up rings from La Moda. I usually have a couple ...

COLLARED PLAYSUIT

Image
Playsuit - c/o Desire Clothing , Creepers - eBay There's no denying this is for the short short lovers amongst us, so 'scuse a little bit of bottom flashing. It's actually not as short as it perhaps looks - definitely not the pants-riding-up style that will no doubt be making a comeback as summer returns!  Anyhoo, I'm a big fan of this sort of playsuit. Cutesy and a little bit flirty..outfits can be flirty right?! I don't know, I just think it has something that makes it perfect for a little night out.. despite the fact that I'm wearing it with my chunky old creepers. I know the whole creepers thing is a bit old now but I still like to cling onto mine for any days when I feel like I need to step down from all things pink and girly, y'know?  I'll keep it short and sweet seen as there isn't much to this outfit.. I kept it quite simple because sometimes I think I add things for the sake of adding them! Really you don't need mu...

THE PINK COAT

Image
Hat - H&M, Choker - eBay, Jumper - H&M, Coat - Boohoo , Flares - H&M, Bag - Primark, Creepers - eBay Today I've only got a few snaps for you, mainly because I've just invested in a new lens & right now I'm trying to work it all out. Can you spot the difference?! I decided the Canon 50mm 1.8 thingymabobby (yep, that all means nothing to me) was the one for me after getting major blog picture envy after way too much time spent on Megan's blog . How lovely are her outfit shots?!  Outfit wise, I'm really wrapped up here due to the fact I'm into day 6 of the dreaded winter cold. Make-up free & wrapped in about 5 layers, what a delight. I was only off to chow down on some comfort food (illness is an excuse to eat like food is going out of fashion right?!) so I just threw on anything that would go with my new pink coat, the pi é ce de r é sistance of this post. I'm so happy to finally find a cheaper pastel coat.. I just couldn...

dungarees summer outfit

Image
Hat - Boohoo, Glasses - Missguided, Top - H&M, Dungarees - c/o Mary Jane Fashion , Belt - Primark, Boots - Ebay I’ve probably posted an outfit like this at some point, but I thought these few snaps might still be worth posting. I’ve been making the most of summer outfits recently. Let’s be honest, summer doesn’t last long for us Brits! I just wore one of my basic H&M crop tops under the dungarees. I really need to go get a few more of these. They’re the perfect thing to wear when you don’t have a clue what to pair with something.. a regular occurrence when you’re as indecisive as I am! I love H&M for their little bargain basics.. I know I’ll be popping to them before my holiday to stock up on the bits that I’ve decided I ‘need’. Time to go enjoy this sun while it lasts. I'm thinking a burrito, being lazy in the garden & a spot of Honey Boo Boo. I guess that summarizes my life quite well.. it revolves around food, chill time & crap...

layered crop tops & new hat

Image
Hat - Boohoo , White Crop Top - H&M, Mesh Top - DIY, Trousers - Charity Shop, Belt - Primark, Creepers - Ebay I know you're probably all sick of the sight of my DIY mesh top, but it's such a great piece for layering. I'm popping it on under everything sleeveless for days when I want my arms a bit more 'covered up'. Let's be honest, I haven't got many years left where I can get away with wearing fishnets/mesh, so I might as well make the most of it while I can. Starting to feel like I'm a grown up. BOO! The hat I'm wearing is another newbie from Boohoo that has barely left my head since it arrived. I needed something to take over from my black bowler, and this fits the bill. Don't you think it's the perfect festival hat? Now if only I had a festival to go to! bloglovin  / twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  shop  /instagram @ fashioninflux x

summer outfit layouts

Outfit One: Tie Dye Tee - Once Upon A Time , Jeans - Topshop , Satchel - c/o La Moda , Shoes - Converse Outfit Two: Bralet - John Lewis, Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Choker - DIY, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington, Head Band - Topshop Outfit Three: Jumper - River Island, Sunglasses - H&M, Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Cuff - H&M, Boots - Aggy X Dr Martens Outfit Four: Trousers - Charity Shop, Top - c/o Stone Fox , Shoes - Converse, Glasses - Missguided , Satchel - As Before I was feeling summery today so thought I’d post a few outfit layouts for the sunshine season. I like to plan outfits sometimes, because I can be tempted to just grab the same old things that I always go for. These outfits have shown me what a high waisted lover I am. To me, summer is all about fetching the high waisted shorts out of retirement. Time to dare bare the pins & slap on a bit of instant tan.. Whilst trying to not look like a Wotsit. The cream pair o...

sheer maxi

Image
Head Chain - DIY, Dress - c/o Poppy Lux , Shirt - Charity Shop, Belt - Primark, Bag c/o Paul's Boutique , Creepers - Ebay I fancied a background change today, so here I am, outside our little summerhouse (summerhouse because my mumma shouts at me when I call it a shed.. Ha). The cat tagged along as my babe blogging assistant. Cutie bear. Outfit wise, I was having one of those days where you want to look boho chic Vanessa Hudgens style. Admittedly, I am never going to be half as cool/generally perfect as she is, but I still like to embrace my inner hippy every so often. This sheer number for me is just right for floating about pretending you’re a free spirit. Plus, I don’t have to bare my plucked chicken esq legs when it does get a bit nippy. Winner. Thought I’d update you & let you know that you can now follow me on Tumblr! Yes, after months of being determined to not cave in to another social network, I went & got addicted. If you like looking at...

studded pencil skirt & across body bag

Image
Sunglasses - H&M, Choker - DIY, Top - H&M, Skirt - c/o Poppy Lux , Bag - c/o Paul's Boutique , Creepers - Ebay It’s becoming a bit of a habit that I come here blogging in order to escape the dissertation, sweet treats to hand. Blogging definitely is where I step back into the reality that I actually enjoy, talking about clothes & showing you guys what I’ve been wearing, opposed to the one I currently live in that revolves around English Language. BOO! I’m so happy that I’ve actually managed to wear an outfit fit for the season & not be freezing my bits & bobs off. Pencil skirts are the perfect length for me at the minute. They aren’t suffocating like tights, yet they don’t leave you feeling like a dope for exposing too much leg in the not so warm weather. There's nothing worse than feeling like you're that girl that everyone's looking at thinking 'it isn't that warm love!'. Ha.  What do you think of this Paul’s...

tartan skirt, a hoody & stockings

Image
Hat - River Island, Hoody - Missguided, Choker - DIY, Crop Top - Primark, Belt - Primark, Skirt - H&M, Stockings - Primark, Creepers - Underground Today, the sun comes out & naturally, so do my legs. I’m at the point where I refuse to wear tights! I’m sick of feeling all wrapped up & having to have my feet tucked up in boots.. gimme the sandals because my body is suffocating! Is anyone else feeling that way?! I am still wearing my snuggly kitty beanie, but that was more of a bad hair day necessity than because it was freezing! I’m wearing a few of my wardrobe favourites today.. which means there's probably things you could well be sick of seeing! Creepers, a crop top & that tartan skirt that has been in many a post. It might be a bit naughty school girl (whoops) but oh well.. that’s another outfit that can be added to my list of options for Halloween! I popped on my Missguided hoody & added a leather jacket when I went out.. hoodi...
