PATCHWORK JEANS

Image
Aaaand we have another denim outfit. I’m at least proud that all the styles I’ve been wearing are pretty different. Usually I just end up buying various versions of black skinnies. I’ve got a pair coming up in few posts time that are the dream, yet aren’t your typical jeans. For now though, it’s a tweaked version of my favourite high-waisted style – a new pair from Dorothy Perkins. Aren’t they cute?! I love that they fit sort of loose, yet work well on giving a gal some shape in the bottom department… I can find some high-waisted styles are ridiculously unflattering in that area! I’ve come to realise that pocket placement is a big deal. Most of this outfit is actually from Dotty Ps. I picked out a few bits for their Style Heroes campaign and I did really like the outfit. It sounds very ‘First World problems’, but picking out clothes online for blogger projects can be really tricky. I struggle working out what’s going to go well together based on a couple of pictur...

KNEE HIGH LOVING

Image
Boots - c/o Dorothy Perkins As I mentioned, I thought I'd do a proper post on these boots seen as you couldn't really see them in my last post and they are oh so pretty. I'm always more of a boots girl, so these were a much appreciated addition to my collection. Why struggle in heels when you can add height with a pair of boots?! Dotty P have done really well with these knee high beauties. They're not vacuum packed/dominatrix style tight but they're still kind of sassy. I'm hoping they'll start to replace my Forever 21 ankle boots as my footwear of choice. The heel on these is a little bit bigger.. Always a fan of making my stubby legs look a bit longer. Anyway, I'm going to have to keep this short and sweet as I've just put some nails on that are ridiculously long and I can't type at all. It's took me about half an hour to write a few paragraphs. How do people do this?! youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pint...

BOOTS & A MAXI SKIRT

Image
Top - New Look , Coat - H&M, Skirt - H&M, Boots - c/o Dorothy Perkins I'm writing this after another snow day, thinking this outfit would now be totally inappropriate. When I took these pictures it was much warmer (well, as 'warmer' as it ever gets at this time of year), so I could just about brave flashing a bit of leg. I know everyone's mad for the over the knee boots at the minute, but I'm yet to give in and buy a pair. I do love them.. I just can't justify another pair of boots. I'm pretty sure if I fetch anymore shoes home my ma will be packing my bags for me. Ha. The Dotty P boots I've got on are more like a 'knee skimmer', rather than their longer thigh high cousins. My favourite fit for wearing with long skirts and dresses.. Makes a change from vacuum packing yourself in tights. I think I'll do a proper post on these sometime soon. These snaps were just ones I took on my new camera whilst faffing around with the...

DOROTHY PERKINS STYLE ESSENTIALS - A/W14

Image
Outfit 1 - Shirt, Jeans & Shoes - c/o Dorothy Perkins , Coat - H&M Outfit 2 - Textured Top, Trousers & Shoes - c/o Dorothy Perkins , Fur Scarf - Zara, Hat - Boohoo So when Dorothy Perkins asked me to get involved with this A/W style essentials post I was hella' excited. As much as I'm not a fan of colder weather, I probably love A/W fashion a whole lot more. Especially the must have basics that you spend October - February wearing.  My basics this year are the Skinny Roll Up Jeans & the Textured Top - aren't they both lovely?! I've recently discovered that jeans are something I can no longer live without (before all these super soft denims I was never a fan - way too uncomfortable!). I now always go for jeans when I'm not sure what to wear. It's flats and a slouchy top for daytime and heels and some nice shirt for an evening out when I don't want to look like I've tried too hard.. When I've in fact spent a g...
