FESTIVAL HAIR TUTORIAL | SPACE BUNS

Image
It's the 1st of May and I'm already feeling festival vibes. For someone who's never actually been to a festival that probably is a tad ridiculous, but I still love all the boho fashion and beauty looks that come with the season. Gimme glitter eyeshadow and braided up-dos.  This hair was mostly me with a bit of free time, faffing around with the backcombing brush. I do really love it though! It's fun and cutesy and the sort of thing I just wish I could pull off on a day to day business. Unfortunately, I don't think I can quite rock space buns for the 9 - 5. Boo.  It's a super duper quick one and pretty easy to do once you've sussed it, so if you do have a go let me know how you get on!  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  facebook  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

VIDEO: FESTIVAL HAIR & BEAUTY LOOKS WITH UNiDAYS

Image
I always love all the summer/festival trends that come out about this time of  year, so when UNiDAYS got in touch to let me pick out a few loverrrly festival bits and bobs from ASOS I got a bit giddy. Plus it was an excuse to finally cave and get ASOS Premier. Life. Changing. I picked out some hair and beauty essentials as I always think that's the area you've really got to cut down. Can't be taking your range of nude lipped & the straighteners! With day to night looks in mind I went for something relaxed and really simple during the day, then plenty of eyeliner and fluffed up hair for night. All the products are listed in the video :) I've been a big fan of UNiDAYS over the years so it's been lovely to work with them.. I've definitely made the most of their discounts as a 'I mostly live on crisp sandwiches' student. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x       ...

FESTIVAL HAIR TUTORIAL

Image
Just a quick 'do' today.. I wouldn't say it needs a tutorial as such (it is after all just some scruffy buns), but I was feeling all inspired by Glastonbury & had a bit of time to film it. It just sucks that I was only  popping my hair up like this due to it being sticky hot at home and bot because I'm actually at Glasto doing all fun festival things. I so want to go next year now.. But then I say this every year. One day! Anyhoo, my Glastonbury dreaming is kind of unrelated. I just think this would be a hair do I'd definitely go for if I was there.. Let's be honest, I dunno if I can pull this off when I'm just off to ASDA to pick out a meal for one. Lol.  youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

FLORAL SHORTS & TASSELS

Image
Hat - H&M, Jacket - c/o Missguided , Top - Forever 21, Shorts - c/o Missguided , Boots - Forever 21 Well this is as summery as it's going to get now - oh how I'm going to miss not having to worry whether or not tights look okay with an outfit! I really take for granted being able to get my legs out over the sunny season.. I love spending my life rolling about in shorts & little dresses - definitely need to move to LA or somewhere suitably hot & fabulous. The shorts I'm wearing today are a pair I got at the start of the summer - they come with a matching top that makes a dreamy matchy-matchy combo. Today I've just worn them with a Missguided jacket I got a while back. It's my 'one day I shall take you to a festival' jacket. It's made for a weekend of music and sunshine, not my back garden. youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

FESTIVAL MAC & SUSPENDER SHORTS

Image
Mac - c/o Drystar , Choker - eBay, Mesh Top - Boohoo, Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Boots - c/o Forever 21 Probably committing a blogging sin by wearing this top twice in as many blog posts - I actually took these pictures a couple of days apart & didn't realise that I'd gravitated back to sporting a bit of mesh. I have a ridiculous wardrobe due to hoarding over the years (does anyone else have outfits from their mid teens that they still can't bear to part with?!), yet I wear the same few things.. typical.  I've gone a bit festival-y today. Am I going to a festival? No. Have I ever even been to a festival? No - Queen of Boresville is my title and I've ended up being more of a green tea in my back garden rather than cider in a sunny field sort of girl. Sob. For me, that means I use summery days as an excuse to dress like I'm bopping to Bey' at V Fest. This week this marshmallow pink (and exceptionally practical - my Nanna would be proud) ...

FOREVER 21 S/S DIY: TIE DYE TOP

Image
Outfit - c/o Forever 21 Top - DIY Tie Dye So here's the second part of my festival inspired DIY extravaganza and even if I do say so myself, I love it quite a lot! When I first set about on a tie dye mission, I did think the outfit would look better with the top just plain white. Thankfully, once I put it all together I decided that the bright pink actually went really well.. in a kind of clashy, 'I'm too cool to match my clothes' kind of way. As everyone knows, 'cool' isn't exactly my middle name.. but I can have a go at pretending every once in a while right?! For me, this is definitely my kind of festival outfit. Having never been to a festival (told you cool doesn't really bode well with me), this was a way for me to get all dreamy about the kind of thing I'd go for. I definitely think Forever 21 would be a go to for sorting out an outfit for summery shindigs.. their New In section has got me planning holiday outfits for a holiday t...

FOREVER 21 S/S DIY: BLEACHED HIGH WAISTED SHORTS

Image
Outfit - c/o Forever 21 DIY Shorts - Update on how I did these to come! For me, summer is the season of doing DIYs. I've spent many a warm day making friendship bracelets in the sun, sitting stirring a bucket full of tees getting tie dyed & flicked bleach over denim like a crazy person. With the garden suddenly looking like spring has sprung, out came the bucket & the bleach. As I'm trying to get into the summer spirit, Forever 21 kindly hooked me up with a couple of festival esq outfits perfect for going to town on DIY wise. If you can't wear bleached up, high waisted shorts at a festival when can you?! These distressed beauties actually came out a lot better than I expected.. you can't really go wrong with this sort of thing but you never know exactly what the result will be! The bleach splatters are now a dreamy match for the little lace detail top & knit cardigan. youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /...
