SPRING LAYERING

Image
I think I’ve been wearing this knitted high neck way more than is acceptable for what’s the end of May. Having said that, it’s one of my favourite little layering piece. I love it for getting wear out of summery items that it’s not quite warm enough for. A knit like this is something I wear plenty right through from those colder months up until it’s properly (if ever!) warm. Here I’m just wearing it under this casual playsuit, one I had for last year’s holiday. This will probably make it along for this year’s jols too – it’s just what you need when you’ve overdone it tanning up. Ouchy. I think it is designed with the beach in mind, but I like it smartened up a bit with the knit. I’m definitely more of a legs out person than someone that can bear the upper arm chill – give me shorts and a thick jumper any day!   Sunglasses - Céline / Jumper - Topshop / Bag - H&M / Playsuit - Forever 21 / Boots - ZARA SHOP THE LOOK youtube ...

CO-ORDS... A TREND FOR 2016?

Image
Sunglasses - Céline / Jacket - Topshop / Two Piece - Forever 21 / Bag - eBay / Pandora Charms - Gift and Wrap I know the co-ord has been doing the rounds for a good while, but I still like a good two piece. This set was probably the last one I picked up, just a really casual one from Forever 21. I've worn it a few times, but this crap rainy weather is still spoiling all my flared trouser hopes for this season. Just look at the bottoms of these. Crying. I'd been out in the morning to do a bit of shopping, but in-between that & taking pictures we had a downpour. Needless to say, after this mini photo shoot they were straight in the wash.  For 2016 I know I'll end up buying more matching sets - I know I've probably said this before, but I always find they're easy outfits. I do think there's something smart about co-ords too... Maybe it's because it makes me think of the cute little twin sets my Nanna wears. Ha. Even though thi...

PURPLE ALL IN ONE

Image
Necklace - H&M, Jumpsuit - Forever 21 , Bag - New Look , Sandals - Primark Hey heyyyy to some colour in my life! It’s about time. I braved stepping out of monochrome when I did my big Forever 21 holiday haul. Even though it is more colourful than I usually go for, it’s still not too ‘out there’ for me. I wore it on holiday and I've worn it since I got home on a warmer day. I just like that it feels quite put together and casual at the same time. I think that's the thing about jumpsuits (I've bought bloody loads recently).. It's just one thing and you feel like your outfit is pretty much done. Lazy dressing, but definitely my kind of thing. The legs on this one are sheer so it's loverrrrly for making the most of the end of summer.  Accessories wise we ain't too fussy. A random little necklace and my Pandora favourites - I've recently treated myself and made the most of their three for two offer on rings. Didn't really need three new rin...

MID LENGTH SKIRT

Image
Top - Forever 21, Skirt - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 So I’m a bit overly in love with this skirt. I only really bought it to go with the off the shoulder top I blogged about, but it turns out 90% of my tops are crop tops and so I have plenty to go with it. I’ve been wearing it casual so far but I think I’ll go for something smarter with it next for work. It’s also really comfortable so I can manage a full day in it (ain’t no time for skinny jeans or anything like that.. How. Do. You. Breathe.). And so that’s a full blog post talking about a skirt, but it was relatively new & inexpensive. I think they do other colours, so I’m going to pop back and probably end up with a bit of a collection going on. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

WAFFLE KNIT & CULOTTES

Image
Choker - c/o Boohoo , Jumper - c/o Boohoo , Belt - Primark, Culottes - Primark, Boots - Forever 21 Another quick one from me. My indoors pictures are always debatable, so I usually only get a few snaps. Or two, to be precise. I'll be playing with my new fancy schmancy lighting this weekend though, so we'll see how that works out. Hopefully it's going to revolutionise my world of taking blog pictures. Ha. We'll see. It does make filming a lot easier, the only thing is I'm not sure I like seeing my face so clear. In reality that bit of blur and lesser quality is a lot more forgiving.. Anyway, that's my millionth ramble about this lighting stuff. Today was just a simple day, something quite warm and comfortable for work (that belt gets looser throughout the day). I think I'm going to wear a similar version of this outfit with a Christmas jumper for something sickeningly festive. How quick is Christmas coming round by the way?! I'll definitely b...

ANKLE LENGTH COAT

Image
Coat - c/o Boohoo , Top - Forever 21 , Culottes - Primark, Boots - Forever 21 I've been wanting a coat like this for ages and I'm just as obsessed with it as I thought I'd be. I've loved that H&M one you've all seen me in way too many times dearly, but it just isn't really thick enough to save me from frostbite over winter. This one is much thicker and comes to just above my ankles. I feel like a little burrito in it. It's not wool or anything, but it's definitely a good inexpensive option for the kind of swooshy, long coat that's currently a high street fave. Underneath the coat I'm probably not at all practical. In fact I know I'm not. It wasn't quite so nippy here, so I managed with just layering up. I'm making the most of it before we get well and truly into winter.. Not looking forward to it at all. Other than Christmas, Christmas is the bit I can cope with.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinteres...

MINT COAT & FLUFFY BOBBLE HAT

Image
Bobble Hat - c/o Amelia Jane London , Jumper - Boohoo, Coat - c/o Bank Fashion , Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Boots - Forever 21, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington I'm wearing two things I'm neway obsessed with today. One's the fluffy bobble hat, and the other is the big thick coat. They're two winter essentials that I just know I'll wear to death over the coming months.  The coat is carrying on that pastel trend we had last year I guess.. Updating it with a bit of a Kimye vibe thanks to that big collar and it's sturdy material. I love it, plus it goes perfecut with my typically monochrome outfits. I'll start with a quick mention about the hat. It's from Amelia Jane London, who do incredibly cute fluffy winter accessories. I naturally went for black, but there's a part of me that really wants a baby pink one. They also do hats to go over riding helmets that are lovely enough for me to suddenly want to get on a pony. youtube  /  b...
