COLLARS UP

Image
Shirt - c/o D aisy Street , Trousers - Primark, Slip Ons - Primark, Bag - c/o La Moda I think I might have left a toe or two being after almost ending up with frostbite while taking these pictures. It was actually a good few days since it had snowed and I completely underestimated how deep it would be up the top end of our garden. Nothing major, but definitely more than my slip on shoes could handle.. You can't see them, mostly because they're covered in bloody snow. I was planning some work outfits (makes life a million times easier when I'm rushing around at 6am with a pack of Belvita in hand) and ended up taking a few snaps while I was at it. Even though I did almost freeze a limb off I do like wintery looking pictures. I look back on them in the summer and wonder how the heck it was ever so cold! I've gone dead comfy here. I can't think of anything worse than being stuck at work in the trousers you have to jump about to get in or something too ...

SLOUCHY VEST

Image
Tikka - c/o La Moda , Coat - H&M, Vest - Zara, Shorts (just seen) - Levi's, Boots - Forever 21 I'm not sure I can really pull this kind of thing off. I totally freakin' love this little glitzy head thing, but I just wish I was a little bit cooler for it. It's made for the Rat & Boa kind of girl who has a much more exciting life than I do. The most excitement I get is a trip to Ikea, not a weekend at a festival or in Beeefa. Anyhoo, my lack of excitement in life doesn't at all relate to how cute these La Moda headpieces are. I just wish I had a fancy pants place to wear one to! Seen as it is such sparkly little thing, I just decided to pop a lazy day outfit with it. Who doesn't love a  slouchy vest on their day off? I've worn this one from Zara so much - it's a size too big but that makes it extra perfect. It just doubles the comfy factor.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  i...

CREAM TWO PIECE

Image
Sunglasses - H&M, Choker - eBay, Necklace & Rings - c/o La Moda , Two Piece - c/o Ukulele If you could make me a two piece of dreams, I think this would be it. It's gorgeously feminine with a little bit of Sienna circa festival season thrown in. Now, I don't think I'm going to pull off boho chic quite as fabulously as she does, but it can certainly have a bash.  I took these pictures earlier in the week, when it was much better weather and feeling all round summery. Unfortunately, I'm now writing this up sat looking out at the rain whilst waiting for my train back from Manchester (I've just had the best weekend seeing Katy Perry at the Phones4U arena thanks to Boohoo - that's if I haven't already bored you to death with my twitter updates). However, the minute I've got a suitable summery occasion to wear this I will be doing. It so needs to be popped together with a (real) tan, beachy, sandblasted hair and the smell of sun cream....

DUNGAREES & PINK ACCESSORIES

Image
Hat - H&M, Top - Topshop, Dungarees - Missguided, Sandals - c/o La Moda Even though the dungarees craze has probably hit its peak, I still love wearing mine. I've had this black number for a good while now, but it is one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I've worn it for everything from interviews to casual coffee trips with my Ma. Paired with a shirt for the former & some cozy knit for the latter.. bye bye are the days where dungarees meant looking like a 5 year old from the 90s! Today I've worn them pretty simple, just going matchy-matchy with the accessories. Matchy-matchy is definitely not a description that's going to make it into the pages of Vogue, but you get what I mean. These baby pink sandals are definitely my favourite shoes at the minute.. La Moda are on point as ever! They're the perfect pastel accompaniment for the candy colours that seem to be everywhere right now.. Topshop is forever making me want an ice cream c...

DAISY PRINT DRESS & CHUNKY BOOTS

Image
Hat - River Island, Choker - eBay, Dress - c/o Yayer , Boots - c/o La Moda I'm looking a little bit like a preggo bear here.. the wind was inflating my dress to the point that I thought I was going to have a Marilyn moment & frighten small children in the area. As you can probably tell (let's pretend I'm not covered in goosebumps..) I was being a tad optimistic weather wise & quickly realised that up north, it is still more than a bit nippy. Boo! Very jealous of anyone making the most of sunshine at the minute.. can summer just be now?! So yeah, I am indeedy trying to embrace S/S style, in the hope that it'll make it feel like warm days are just around the corner. This dress is my start on saying bye bye to winter. I wore daisy print last summer and will happily be doing the same this year. It just has that whole 90s sort of look that makes me think it'd fit right in with the My Mad Fat Diary costume department.. anyone else addicted to that...

DOUBLE DENIM

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Denim Jacket - Levi's, Mesh Vest - Missguided, Jeans - Zara, Rings - Pandora, Flatforms - c/o La Moda I didn't last long in the full outfit I'm wearing here, mainly because I quickly realised it wasn't the most flattering thing I've ever gone for! I decided I felt a bit like a cross between Justin Bieber (those jeans are ratherrr slouchy) and a version of Danny Zuko dressed in white. In the end I swapped for my long H&M black coat & Boohoo heeled boots to return myself to feeling like a girl.  The main reason I ended up looking like a boy today was because I wanted to make use of my Levi jacket. It's been tucked up in the back of my wardrobe over the winter, and seen as it was the results of months of charity shop hunting I felt that it deserved some love. I'm actually thinking of selling it to a home where it is appreciated more as I just don't wear it enough! Maybe I'll see if I can find a few things ...
