A new range from Urban Decay is my kind of makeup update. The Alice in Wonderland collection is one I was extra hyped up about, mainly because I’m a big fan of the film – I love a classic, whimsical story. And Johnny Depp. Obviously. I always think Urban Decay do hellaaa good on the eyeshadows front – what is life without the Naked palette?! I’ve had a few of the brighter palettes in the past, but this one is a goodie for tying in bold shades with my love for neutrals. I really like the mix of warm nudes and browns in the shimmer and matte finishes. Some of the shimmers are sparklier than others, but overall I’m a fan of how they look when applied. I think anyone that’s a reader of my blog will have clocked on to the fact that I’m really into my lip products. I’m a bit of a hoarder with an embarrassing collection, but I do love trying out something new. This week I’m using Smashbox ’s Be Legendary collection, creating my favourite lip look with their clear Always Sharp Lip Liner , Be Legendary Matte Lipstick in Famous and Insta-Matte Lip Transformer . Naturally, I opted for a matte, nude lip – a look I wear regularly. For long lasting colour, I started out with the Always Sharp Lip Liner, something that kind of fascinates me. I wasn’t sure how a clear lip liner would work at first, but it manages to act as a great base for lipstick, preventing any awkward smudges and bleeding. I tend to over line my lips a little to even them out, so this one is really handy for getting that precise application. Recently, I clocked on to the fact that NYX is available at Boots, a realisation my bank balance wasn’t so happy with. I’ve loved the bits I’ve tried from NYX previously, especially when it comes to the colour range for lip products - no girl can have too many almost identical lipsticks. In the end I decided to stock up on the Lingerie Lipsticks as I’m into my matte, liquid lippies right now. I just find they’re so much easier, application wise! They’re all nude tones (be warned, ‘nude’ will be mentioned a lot in this post) so they’re just my sort of thing. I ended up buying five colours initially, before ordering another three as I wanted to do a more ‘comprehensive’ blog post - it’s amazing how many purchases you can justify for blogging purposes! There are 12 shades in total, but I skipped on a few of the lighter ones as I know they’ll probably make me look like death warmed up. Overall, I’m really rating these, especially when you consider they’re only £6.50 each....

Even though I try to add a bit of colour to my lipstick life, I can't help but go back to a good nude. I'm always a bit 'matchy-matchy', so generally I like a lipstick to go with what I'm wearing.. With nude I think that natural sort of thing always seems to 'go'? I know everyone's a bit obsessed with MAC for lippy, but I do on a whole love them. Anyhoo.. Where I've got something random slung on while I'm deciding what outfit to go for and end up taking a few snaps that don't really fit anywhere. Today the main thing here was the lippy and the tee. Both favourites you've probably seen before on here. It's Autumn, so naturally I'm obsessed with a dark lip, trying to be all Taylor Momsen and cool. Ain't happening, but I still like to feel a bit 'gothy' this time of year, especially with Halloween comping up (EEP - favourite holiday). The tee is one I could happily spend every day in.
