SHIRT DRESS AND SANDALS

Image
Right up there with that Topshop floral tea dress, this is one of my favourite summer purchases. I picked it up a few weeks ago at ZARA – it was only £20 so definitely one to keep your eyes peeled for! It wasn’t a planned outfit choice, but I ended up wearing it for Tramlines, Sheffield’s answer to Glasto. I’d gone with the whole shorts & baggy shirt the day before so I was ready to get back to girly vibes… Although I did end up wearing it with ankle boots. Comforrrt for traipsing round town!    I love the little boxy shirt fit – it’s not one I normally go for, but it feels smart-ish. Well, as smart as butt skimming dresses can ever be, but I like that combo all the same. I usually opt for anything that’ll synch in my waist, but it was nice to wear something that meant I could eat as much mac and cheese as possible, without food baby worries. Liiiife. THE FAVOURITE COMBO | WHITE SHIRT & BLACK JEANS

Image
When we’re talking wardrobe essentials, it’s the white shirt and black jeans that top all basics for me. It’s a combination that has saved me from many a ‘what the fudge am I wearing’ occasion, as well as being favourites worn separately. I wear shirts like this for both days off and work, while black jeans I can pretty much live out my days in. It’s no fuss outfits like this that I love. Big time.  Almost everything I’m wearing here was from Next , picked out for a cute pub meal the evening before Ascot. I was so thankful for having gone oversized with the shirt… The best option for hiding a pub grub food baby. It’s extra slouchy and light, so I’m thinking of packing it up for my holidays to wear as a beach cover up.   Time now for me to go crack on with some blog pictures. I’ve been super busy recently with house and general life stuff, so it’s nice to have a bit of self indulgent time to faff about taking pictures of makeup. Ha. I’ll probably be saying thi...

COLLARS UP

Shirt - c/o D aisy Street , Trousers - Primark, Slip Ons - Primark, Bag - c/o La Moda I think I might have left a toe or two being after almost ending up with frostbite while taking these pictures. It was actually a good few days since it had snowed and I completely underestimated how deep it would be up the top end of our garden. Nothing major, but definitely more than my slip on shoes could handle.. You can't see them, mostly because they're covered in bloody snow. I was planning some work outfits (makes life a million times easier when I'm rushing around at 6am with a pack of Belvita in hand) and ended up taking a few snaps while I was at it. Even though I did almost freeze a limb off I do like wintery looking pictures. I look back on them in the summer and wonder how the heck it was ever so cold! I've gone dead comfy here. I can't think of anything worse than being stuck at work in the trousers you have to jump about to get in or something too ...

SHIRT & KNEE HIGHS

Image
Hat - H&M, Shirt - Zara, Bra Top - c/o Urban Outfitters , Trousers - H&M, Boots - They're really way too old.. I did eventually button this shirt up properly. Bit risqué for heading to our local old lady populated Costa. I just wanted to flash a bit of that bra really. You can't even see how pretty it is, I'm going to have to work on a way of showing you without flashing the girls for the internet to see. I've just put on a basic shirt over the top, it's a bit oversized without being too huge on me. More slouchy than oversized, nothing too structured. Other than that I'm mostly monochrome. Old habits die hard. I'm keeping this short and sweet today, mainly because I've had my nails done for the first time in forever (definitely thinking of Frozen as I'm typing this..) and I can't even type with them on. They look a million times more fabulous than usual, but my hands are now almost useless to me. Fabbydabbydoodah.  you...

STRIPED SHIRT

Cross Necklace - Skiathos, Ancor Necklace - c/o Lola & Grace , Shirt - Zara, Jeans - Missguided, Boots - Forever 21, Ring - c/o La Moda I bought this shirt a couple of weeks ago and other than in these pictures I'm yet to wear it. I bought it as a bit of a treat for work (yep, when you're as tight with money as I am a £20 shirt from Zara is quite a big splurge..). It wasn't anything I'd planned to buy, I just liked it so I bought it. I know, I'm crrraaazy like that. I was going to put YOLO but that might have been a step too far. Anyhoo, I think I'm going to save it for when winter well and truly sets in. Long sleeved tops are a rarity in my wardrobe (I usually just layer up), so this can be for the colder, more fancy-schmancy days. Jewellery wise I've stacked up. I've got a little cross necklace I bought on holiday and a silver anchor on from Lola & Grace. They've just opening a store in Meadowhall which means I'm now obsesse...

MINI SKIRT & SHEER SHIRT

Shirt - c/o Daisy Street , Skirt - H&M, Boots - Forever 21 I've worn this shirt on here before here, but today I've got it tucked up a little bit.. making the most of wearing it like this before it's way too nippy. I'm not sure this outfit on a whole is very season appropriate, but I just wore it with my big H&M trench coat so it was a bit warmer. I'm thinking I've  probably got until mid-late September to continue getting my legs out so I'm going enjoy it while it lasts. I'd just had my hair done here - hence why it's looking a tad more sleek than usual. I copy what my hairdresser does (well, I try to..) and use the same products yet why does it never look the same when I do it?! Hairdressers have magic hands. Anyway, I guess I do have a bit of a proper 'ombre' do now.. a few people have tried to suggest to me that I'm no longer blonde & I'm like 'WHAT?!'. I'm a bit attached to being a blondie, but I...
