SKINNIES & HEELS

Image
Hat - Boohoo, Scarf - H&M, Jumper - c/o Boohoo , Jeans - Missguided, Heels - c/o Dorothy Perkins I actually took these pictures a fair while ago (we're talking pre-Christmas.. pictures that managed to get lost in the realms of my Macbook) but it's an outfit that I've ended up wearing for work since then. Minus the hat and heels.. as much as I'd like to be I'm not quite that glam for workypops. The jumper is just an oversized one from Boohoo.. pretty simple but a nice basic. I love grey with camel at the minute and usually tie it in with that scarf. I've basically spent my winter wrapped up in this. On the snuggle scale it's a winner. youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  / instagram x

SHIRT & KNEE HIGHS

Image
Hat - H&M, Shirt - Zara, Bra Top - c/o Urban Outfitters , Trousers - H&M, Boots - They're really way too old.. I did eventually button this shirt up properly. Bit risqué for heading to our local old lady populated Costa. I just wanted to flash a bit of that bra really. You can't even see how pretty it is, I'm going to have to work on a way of showing you without flashing the girls for the internet to see. I've just put on a basic shirt over the top, it's a bit oversized without being too huge on me. More slouchy than oversized, nothing too structured. Other than that I'm mostly monochrome. Old habits die hard. I'm keeping this short and sweet today, mainly because I've had my nails done for the first time in forever (definitely thinking of Frozen as I'm typing this..) and I can't even type with them on. They look a million times more fabulous than usual, but my hands are now almost useless to me. Fabbydabbydoodah.  you...

SHEER JACKET

Image
Jacket - c/o Koko Couture , Choker - Topshop, Bug Necklace - c/o Elkin , Crop Top - Primark, Jeans - Primark, Boots - c/o Deichmann , Bag - c/o Paul's Boutique I've been meaning to show you this jacket for a while. It's kind of MJ 80s outfit meets 2014.. but I'm completely into that. It's shere,  swishy and white, one of my favourites after black. Plus it's that kind of jacket that constitutes as a top. It's not too thic to be wearing indoors and that sheer material just makes it feel like a fancy shirt.  Just about everything else I'm wearing is stuff you'll have probably seen before. I buy too many clothes yet I'm forever wearing the same few things.. logic. The only newbie is the bag. Can you believe it's from Paul's Boutique?! They've got some really lovely styles in for A/W. I'm loving this one's boxy shape.. Perfect for fitting in my iPad and all the other Mary Poppin esq. essentials I lug around with me.  ...

WRAPPED UP

Image
Faux Fur Scarf - c/o Charlotte Simone , Turtle Neck - H&M, Jeans - Prmark & DIY, Boots - Boohoo Today I am Red Riding Hood. Kind of wish I'd had this for Halloween so I could have gone as some gothy, blood doused version! I do love getting wrapped up in a good scarf. In fact, I love the while layering thing about A/W. I am saying this before the weather has turned ridonkulously cold though.. when it get to temperatures where losing a toe to frostbite is an actually option then I may well have changed my mind.  Today's pretty simple, so I'm not going to go in too much. I'm just wearing all black really.. I did feel a tiny bit like a ninja. It's just an easy option. When in doubt, wear all black.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

INSTAGRAM OUTFIT: DUSTER COAT

Image
Coat - Primark, T-Shirt - Primark, Jeans - Missguided, Bag - c/o Paul's Boutique , Boots - Forever 21 A lot of the time, the outfits I post on Instagram are my favourites. I don't always have time to lug out the DSLR & the tripod.. It is so much easier to just get my mum to take a few snaps before I pop out. There's no faffing to get the right background and lighting, plus there's no time for me to focus too much on what my face is doing. My mum definitely hasn't got the patience for me moaning about my Chandler Bing smile on the billionth picture. I thought I might just post these from time to time, when I've got something worth raving about. My something worth raving about today is the coat. Can you believe it's from Primark?! I've had my eye on some similar ones from Topshop & the like but they're way out of my price range. It's definitely a bit like a lab coat but I still love it.. Especially for this awkward time of year ...

STRIPED SHIRT

Image
Cross Necklace - Skiathos, Ancor Necklace - c/o Lola & Grace , Shirt - Zara, Jeans - Missguided, Boots - Forever 21, Ring - c/o La Moda I bought this shirt a couple of weeks ago and other than in these pictures I'm yet to wear it. I bought it as a bit of a treat for work (yep, when you're as tight with money as I am a £20 shirt from Zara is quite a big splurge..). It wasn't anything I'd planned to buy, I just liked it so I bought it. I know, I'm crrraaazy like that. I was going to put YOLO but that might have been a step too far. Anyhoo, I think I'm going to save it for when winter well and truly sets in. Long sleeved tops are a rarity in my wardrobe (I usually just layer up), so this can be for the colder, more fancy-schmancy days. Jewellery wise I've stacked up. I've got a little cross necklace I bought on holiday and a silver anchor on from Lola & Grace. They've just opening a store in Meadowhall which means I'm now obsesse...

SHEER SHIRT & SKINNIES

Image
Choker - eBay, Leather Jacket - Topshop, Shirt - c/o Daisy Street , Skinny Jeans - Missguided, Boots - Forever 21 Apparently, the minute I wear a less than summery looking outfit we get a sudden burst of sunshine. Perhaps I'll have to keep on posting these jeans & t-shirt sort of outfits just so we get leg baring weather?! I'm one of those people that always fails to dress for the climate - I've either underestimated how cold it is and spend my days dithering away, or I'm thinking it's  going to be too chilly and in actual fact it's boiling. Sod's law I guess! Today's outfit is all about the shirt. Let's be honest, you can throw any old top on with black skinnies & know that it's probably going to look okay. Black skinny jeans are just a fail safe option! The shirt I'm wearing is nothing too crazy, but I love that its boxy shape and the fact it's sheer. Yup, I wouldn't normally use my hair as a nipple cover up, but...
