SPRING DAYTIME GET READY WITH ME

Image
Ahem. Bare legs. Okay, it didn't last long. I did have to throw over a jumper and a longer coat, but I was determined this weekend would be a chance for my legs to see sunlight again. I'm so ready for the warmer days!  I'd not actually worn this dress before - it's relatively new, but I couldn't face having to stick it with tights. I guess it is the sort I could wear on an evening out, but I love this sort of thing dressed down with trainers. It feels really girly, without being too dolled up.  Hair & makeup also ended up being quite feminine. I went pretty natural apart from the pinkish lip - that shade is one of my favourites right now. Hair was an undo as my locks were probably 90% dry shampoo today... I'm trying to stop washing my hair everyday as I know it's really stripping it! Anyway, I'm off for a Lush bath now as I've spent all day faffing about editing this one - I was filming at 8am and we're live by 6pm. For...

PARIS FASHION WEEK | OUTFIT TWO

Image
Did Paris ever happen?! It feels like such a long time ago now, but the year is already whizzing by. It's getting to my favourite time - warmer days, lighter evenings, with the summer still to come. If it could pause at about May then I'd be happy.  Back to Paris. It was actually quite a decent week weather wise, so I didn't feel silly with a little bit of flesh uncovered. The two piece makes a great transition piece - it's still a long sleeved knit, but the culottes make it something I'd only wear now we've broke the back of winter. I just wore it with my new Topshop dolly shoes... I'm so glad I went for these, they're just right for an in between heel - we were heading backstage so I didn't want anything that'd be too much of a pain to wander round in. I'd also had my hair done by a lovely L'Oreal stylist that morning... I'm so wishing I could manage curls as bouncy as this! I'd still got greyish tips here, wh...

MID LENGTH SKIRT

Image
Top - Forever 21, Skirt - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 So I’m a bit overly in love with this skirt. I only really bought it to go with the off the shoulder top I blogged about, but it turns out 90% of my tops are crop tops and so I have plenty to go with it. I’ve been wearing it casual so far but I think I’ll go for something smarter with it next for work. It’s also really comfortable so I can manage a full day in it (ain’t no time for skinny jeans or anything like that.. How. Do. You. Breathe.). And so that’s a full blog post talking about a skirt, but it was relatively new & inexpensive. I think they do other colours, so I’m going to pop back and probably end up with a bit of a collection going on. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

BLACK TWO PIECE

Image
Two Piece - ZARA , Heels - New Look You know when you just find that outfit that's pretty much everything you like about clothing and you want to wear it forever? That's this outfit. It's bringing me back to being a little more feminine, is typically monochrome and shows off the bits I want to show off (whilst covering up my curvier bottom half). Plus it was pretty cheap - I think it came to just over £20 for the two piece. The shoes are the ones I mentioned in my last post.. I did worry they could look a little bit like I was wearing an out on probation tag, but I love them on. Glam without being OTT? I needed something simple like this as my go-to heel so I'm glad I got them. For once that's all stuff that should still be in stores/online! I feel a bit useless sometimes when I'm blogging about clothes I've had for years, not something that you can just head into Topshop & pick up. I guess I don't buy clothing very often and my favour...

GREIGE

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Coat - H&M, Top - Primark, Trousers - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 I guess what I'm wearing here is a pretty similar look to the last outfit I wore with this coat, but I liked that whole grey and beige mix. This time round the grey part of what I'm wearing is purely comfort. Without that bit of heel on my boots and the coat to smarten things up it does kind of look like lounge wear, but it was a Sunday and slouchy clothing called! I've also got to that mid season awkwardness where knowing how to dress weather appropriate has completely gone out the window. I'm still stuck in chunky scarves and knitwear even though it's probably time for a Spring update. NEW IN: GREY

Image
Antique Pot, Silver - H&M & Pandora, Watch - c/o Shore Projects , Camera Case, iPad Case - eBay , Macbook Sleeve - eBay , Knitted Trousers - ZARA I guess I should probably be thinking ahead to SS15, but my head is still telling me to go for everything grey - my fave this season. Yeah it's probably been a bit over done now, but I still like it as a change from monochrome. There are a few bits thrown in this post that aren't 'new in' as such but there all things I'm not sure I've probably mentioned.  So grey wise - firstly it was the gadget related bits & bobs. I've included these because if you're bothered about your shoes you're bothered about that iPad looking cute. Ha. Well, for me I like to keep everything looking smart. I only ever buy stuff like this off eBay. Why would I spend £30 on a case that I can get for just over a fiver on there?! I'd been lusting over the mock-marble case for the Macbook (in true copycat...

INSTAGRAM OUTFIT #3

Image
Turtle neck - Zara, Coat - H&M, Bag - c/o Paul's Boutique , Jeans - Zara, Boots - Forever 21 Instagram stuffs. Mainly because I never got round to taking proper blog pictures. I was dashing off to Meadowhall to check out the new Jo Malone concession (I've pretty much not stopped going on about it since it opened..) so I just put on a pair of old jeans and my favourite turtle neck. I ended up buying a candle.. It was my birthday treat to myself. It smells & looks freaking divine so I didn't mind parting with a ridonk amount of money for a fancy lump of wax. Everyone needs a little luxury every so often right?! Anyway, candle shopping is kind of unrelated. I'll mention my today's hair. It's only pulled back in a ponytail, but I've been wearing it loads like this. This low slung style is about the only thing I can master when it comes to putting my hair up (I forever used to end up with one of those horrendous sticky out-y bits that you...

SHIRT & SHORTS

Image
Scarf - Boohoo, Shirt - Zara, Shorts - Charity Shop, Coat - H&M, Boots - Forever 21 I'm keeping this short and sweet, mainly because this  outfit is in my A/W Lookbook  and I'm also wearing stuff I've talked about plenty of times before. I guess my wardrobe is a bit samey but you can only have so many clothes right?! Don't get me wrong, I probably spend more than I should on clothes, but I still have favourites that I always go back to.  I'm just kind of comfy here. Lots of layers, nothing too tight or smart. This was the outfit I ended up spending the rest of the day in after filming.. I was just off to town and it seemed alright for the current weather sitch - autumnal but definitely not freeze 'ya nips off cold. While I'm managing without tights I usually go for this coat - it covers me up a bit so I don't feel too much like I'm thinking it's still the summer.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  ...

DETAILS: A/W FAUX FUR

Image
Scarf - Zara, T-Shirt - H&M, Ring - H&M With full blown Autumn just around the corner I'm raking out all my winter warmers from the depths of my wardrobe. As much as I hate winter (it's only allowed to snow on my days off okay?!), I do love all the snuggly essentials that come with A/W fashion. Gloves, chunky knit hats & big fluffy scarves like this one.. Yes please! This furry thaaang is my number one favourite for the nippy season. It's already a year old but it's one of those things that I know I'll have for yonks.. Faux fur around this time of year is one of those things that I don't think will ever get old. Plus whenever I wear anything like this I feel like a fancy, winter wonderland princess. Last year I wore it like collar, but this year I think I'll be wrapping myself up in it like this.. Hair tucked in, feeling super cosy. youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  inst...

SLOUCHY VEST

Image
Tikka - c/o La Moda , Coat - H&M, Vest - Zara, Shorts (just seen) - Levi's, Boots - Forever 21 I'm not sure I can really pull this kind of thing off. I totally freakin' love this little glitzy head thing, but I just wish I was a little bit cooler for it. It's made for the Rat & Boa kind of girl who has a much more exciting life than I do. The most excitement I get is a trip to Ikea, not a weekend at a festival or in Beeefa. Anyhoo, my lack of excitement in life doesn't at all relate to how cute these La Moda headpieces are. I just wish I had a fancy pants place to wear one to! Seen as it is such sparkly little thing, I just decided to pop a lazy day outfit with it. Who doesn't love a  slouchy vest on their day off? I've worn this one from Zara so much - it's a size too big but that makes it extra perfect. It just doubles the comfy factor.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  i...

DOUBLE DENIM

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Denim Jacket - Levi's, Mesh Vest - Missguided, Jeans - Zara, Rings - Pandora, Flatforms - c/o La Moda I didn't last long in the full outfit I'm wearing here, mainly because I quickly realised it wasn't the most flattering thing I've ever gone for! I decided I felt a bit like a cross between Justin Bieber (those jeans are ratherrr slouchy) and a version of Danny Zuko dressed in white. In the end I swapped for my long H&M black coat & Boohoo heeled boots to return myself to feeling like a girl.  The main reason I ended up looking like a boy today was because I wanted to make use of my Levi jacket. It's been tucked up in the back of my wardrobe over the winter, and seen as it was the results of months of charity shop hunting I felt that it deserved some love. I'm actually thinking of selling it to a home where it is appreciated more as I just don't wear it enough! Maybe I'll see if I can find a few things ...

NEON DETAILS

Image
Hat - Boohoo, Coat - H&M, Neon Kaftan - H&M, Jumper - Zara, Trousers - Charity Shop, Boots - Boohoo So I've gone from embracing the candy colours trend to dark and kinda' gothy. I tweeted about this the other.. I can just never decide between dressing all girly and spending my life trying (failing) to be all  mysterious in black. Does anyone else have that problem?! I quite like making sure my wardrobe has the option to go between the two.. lots of pretty pinks and florals for the more feminine days then black skinnies & boots for a slightly more 'Edward Scissor Hands' sort of look. Just gimme the hair & I could come up with the outfit.  I did brighten things up today with this neon kaftan, one I bought in the summer which didn't end up getting much wear.. it's kind of made for a tropical holiday don't you think?! It doesn't quite have the same effect in grey Sheffield. I decided just a bit of it peaking out was t...

TARTAN SCARF & LACE FLARES

Image
Jumper - Zara, Scarf - Boohoo , Lace Flares - H&M, Boots - Boohoo, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington I'm back to looking hella' angry on blog pictures. BOO. I'm going to blame it on the sun.. I'm forever squinting away during the winter!  It was actually quite warm today, hence why I've not bothered with a coat. I did pop on a grey boyfriend jacket when I went out, but while I was taking pictures I risked it. I get completely bored of having to layer up to a crazy extreme (I have been known to go out in three pairs of tights.. yep, I think my feet started to go blue). Turtle necks always make you fee like you're wrapped up, and we all know I'm a huge fan of them. This one is a newbie to my collection.. I did indeed fall victim to the Zara sale. Did anyone else find any bargains?!  I will quickly mention that scarf. It's quickly becoming my favourite thing. The lovely guys at Boohoo let me take this home after the #OWNIT shoot &...

Filofax Blogger Challenge & my 90s outfit!

Image
Jacket - Zara, Dress - Zara, Shirt - Charity Shop, Heels - Boohoo, Filofax - c/o Filofax Lippy - Revlon Lip Butter (Rasberry Pie)  Now, I did think that incorporating a Filofax into a fashion blog might just be a stretch too far. It’s not just a boring old diary though, is it? For me it’s like a whole little fashion statement, perfect for those of us who are a little obsessed with organisation. As my student bubble has officially popped and I am now in the big wide world of searching for the dream job (lol.. work in progress!), I was mega eager to get my hands on one of these anyway. It makes me feel like such a grown-up..   Hopefully it will soon be filled with important meetings and exciting events! The styling was based around a favourite decade.. do we even need to consider what decade I went for?! 90s of course. I knew straight away I’d have to go for a two piece in homage to my apparent lookalike Cher from Clueless. She’s much more of a bab...
