TARGETING OILY SKIN | MY CURRENT ROUTINE

Image
Welcome to me sharing the joys of oily skin. If you’re prone to an oil slick complexion like me, you’re going to know that it can be a complete pain in the ass… Imagine a world where your foundation hasn’t slid off your face by 12pm?! Recently, I’ve got very stomp-y footed about oily skin problems. I’ve just about got my acne under control, but was still plagued with a T-Zone that hates me. Admittedly, I wasn’t being very good to my skin – there’s nothing like waking up with Saturday night’s makeup on to realise you’re a mess. Lol. While I do still have my blips, I have managed to force myself into some sort of routine, specifically targeting oily issues. Buying a few new products definitely helped – kind of like when you buy new gym clothes to motivate yourself into facing the cross trainer. A PROACTIV+ UPDATE - THE RESULTS

Image
As promised, it’s time for an eight-week update on how I got on with the Proactiv+ 3 step system. I set about using the range back in January, and to be honest… I was skeptical. One of the best things I’ve found about using the products is that they’re convenient. Really, having acne can be a total pain. Your skincare routine ends up having to be epic, and most of the products make it difficult for applying makeup – basically, you’re stuck to applying them ...

Image
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, at some point you may have seen me mention that my skin is by no means perfect. It’s something I don’t mind sharing – I’m never keen on the idea of folk being under the illusion that Instagram selfies are a complete representation of reality. I can unashamedly admit that it’s with the help of good lighting, heavy coverage foundation and the odd Instagram filter that my skin looks decent. In fact, I’ve had bouts of acne from being a teenager, with breakouts still frequent now I’m in my 20s. While I know my case isn’t the worst in the world, it’s very rare for my skin to be clear. I have an oily t-zone and some whopping pores working against me, as well as being prone to those annoying dry patches left behind by blemishes gone by… So yep, it’s a brilliant combination! Alongside those usual forehead blighters, my main problem area is around my jaw line and neck. It’s weird really… That was never the issue as a teen, yet these days it’s...
