LAZY SUMMER OUTFIT

Image
Bralet - By Jody Shafton , Top - Primark, Trousers - River Island, Birkenstocks God I’ve had these trousers a long time. I'm pretty sure had them when I was still at uni.. I feel like they were one of my early ‘cool’ purchases. Y’know when you actually had a bit of spending money and no longer relied on your parent’s clothing choices?! Okay, maybe they’re not that old.. But they’ve been doing the rounds in my wardrobe for a while. I still hold onto them because I like them for something casual over summer. They’re nice and slouchy and have made a good trouser for on the beach in years previous. Here I’m just wearing them with a Primark vest top for extra comfort. It is kind of lazy, but on days off it’s nice to wear something cool and chilled. This is the sort of thing I'm going to be wearing while I'm away.. Something to cover up in when I'm having a wander. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / i...

SPLIT MAXI SKIRT

Image
Necklace - Accessorize, Top - Forever 21 & Skirt - Forever 21, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza I'm getting down to what will probably be my last few summery outfits and this definitely makes me a bit sad. This is probably (maths isn't my forte) my third summer blogging and I can admit that it's always so much easier than in the winter. No freezing your bits off, no battling with rain and definitely no trudging through the snow. Oh flipping heck.. Bring on the winter eh.  Anyway, outfit time. The skirt is one I've loved this summer. It's really floaty, and the splits mean I can flash a bit of leg without being a bit 'ooh look at my pins'.. not that I'm opposed to getting my legs out every now and then. The crop top is from Forever 21 too, it's just one of those dead cheap basic ones. Yep, if you haven't realised, I am a little bit obsessed with Forever 21 at the minute. I'd say it's become my favourite online shop.. Yet to or...

TARTAN & DENIM

Image
Necklace - Accessorize, Scarf - c/o Boohoo , Top - Forever 21, Jeans - Topshop, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza August isn't even over yet & I'm back in my cosiest of cosy scarves - this tartan piece from Boohoo. I got it last winter and wore it to death. It's essentially a blanket, so huge and lovely for snuggling up in. I know winter isn't quite with us yet, but it's nice to have something to sling round your shoulders if it does get a little nippy.  The white jeans are the ones I got from Topshop at the start of the summer. I actually haven't worn them as much as I'd have liked to - I guess I am a bit nervy about being 'out there' in them, y'know? They aren't exactly the thing to go for when hiding lumpy-bumpy bits. I'm hoping I'll wear them over winter - I know, white doesn't exactly scream winter fashion - but I think with a big slouchy jumper I'll feel brave enough to wear them more.  youtube  /  bloglovi...

CROPPED TROUSERS & CROPPED TEE

Image
Sunglasses, Necklace & Bracelet - Skiathos Town, T-Shirt - Primark, Cropped Trousers - Missguided , Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza Y'know when you buy something basic that becomes the thing you have to stop yourself wearing every single day? That's this tee. Yep, it's nothing special but every time I'm like 'what the fudge am I going to wear today..', I pull out this top, some form of bottoms and hope for the best. I definitely need to pop back to Primark and hunt it down in another colour. Or two.  The cropped trousers are newbies in my wardrobe. I've ended up wearing trousers loads this summer so these are just right for the last few sunny days. Plus they're perfect with my Birkenstocks. Oh it will be a sad day when the it's too cold to wear shoes that feel almost as comfy as slippers. Chunky boots just aren't the same.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

NEON BIKINI & CROCHET

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Bikini - H&M, Top - Primark, Rings - c/o La Moda , Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza Now, this bikini is quite an old purchase. Some of you might remember it from H&M's summer season maybe a couple of years ago? I bought it in the hope that I'd be off to somewhere fabulously exotic - unfortunately the closest I got to 'exotic' was Cleethorpes. Not quite what I was thinking. It has since been in a drawer, lurking there hoping that one day I'd actually get to wear it - providing I did actually book a holiday and my ass didn't get  significantly bigger (we squeezed into it - only just, but it was a victory all round). I wore this on one of my last days in lovely Skiathos - hence why I'm a tad browner than I am in some of the other posts. If only it didn't have to peel off in snake skin esq style! Yup, I'm wearing that Primark crochet top again too. Can you tell I tried to pack things that I could mix & ma...

CROCHET TOP

Image
Sunglasses - Cosmo Mag Freebie, Crochet Top - Primark, Swimming Costume (just seen) - eBay, Shorts - Primark,  Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza So, crochet is a pretty big thaaang right now don't you think? Everyone seems to be mad for it and naturally, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The top I'm wearing is only from Primark.. I bought it just before I went away thinking it'd be the perfect beach cover up. It did actually fit the bill. Since I came back to Grotsville Sheffield I've worn it just as much as I did on my jolls - only this time it's more often than not with skinny jeans or a maxi skirt. The shorts I've popped it with here are from Primark too - bit of a bargain outfit day all round seen as the sunglasses were a freebie with a mag. I bought 3 pairs of these for the summer.. naturally the other pairs were in black & white. They were only £4 so that's me stocked up for the rest of the sunnier months.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /...

TRIANGL BIKINI

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza , Bikini - c/o Triangl Swimwear Another bikini post.. nothing fancy but it is a pretty nice bikini. Now, I do feel a bit like these days there isn't a blogger in the world who hasn't got a Triangl  bikini (their blogger outreach team must be on forrrrm!), but I can't help but be completely drawn into the latest blogger obsession. Not only do they look good, but that scuba-diving-esq material makes them feel extra good quality.  I will say that as much as I like Triangl bikinis, they're not the most practical. I'm one for getting totally zoned out with a book, which means I want to be all comfy and chilled in whatever I'm wearing. I'd say these are more the thing to go for when you want to impress - they look fabulous on but they can definitely be a wee bit stiff & sweaty to sit in all day. To be fair, I am a hard-core-8-hours-in-the-sun-sunbather.. I lasted about 3 hours before I swapped t...

NEW BIRKENSTOCKS

Image
Sunglasses - Company Mag Freebie, Top & Skirt - Fenchurch c/o Bank Fashion , Coat - H&M, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza I feel like I should have dedicated a whole post to my shoes alone. Yep, I've jumped on the Birkenstock bandwagon and I'm oh so happy to have done so. I actually had a pair of these when I was younger (probably in some horrendous bright pink or something equally as 'Barbie' esq. They are indeed as comfy as I ever remembered them to be, the kind of slouchy everyday shoe that you want to hug your feet forever and always. Okay, I like to exaggerate, but they are definitely an outdoor version of the slipper. I know not everyone's a fan of the blogger's essential shoe for the summer, but I've already fallen for the hype. For the rest of today's outfit, I went for this mis-matched  fenchurch set. It's kind of sporty but the bodycon fit means I don't feel like a total boy. I'm going to admit that I didn't kno...
