LITTLE RED DRESS

Image
So this little tea dress quickly became the blogger's fave, didn't it?! I can definitely see why. It's a really flattering fit that seems to work well on loads of different shapes. As quite a petite person, I love something girly like this. The tie waist works well for me too - I'm always about something that pulls in my waist and skims over my hips... Anything to distract from my rather ample bottom half! I actually got this for a night out and wore it with these boots - I've no time for wibbly-wobbly heels these days. While I've seen this dress plenty in the blogosphere, I've not seen as much of it up in Sheffield. Flouncy little numbers like this are my favourite for evenings out, so it felt like a good purchase for girls night... I managed to justify the spend anyway, as I know I can wear it during the daytime too. Right, slobby Sunday awaits. I've spent the day stripping the house, so Netflix, chocolate & a duvet it is! Sung...

FLORAL DETAILS

Floral Crown - The Bubble Garden , Necklace - H&M So it's just an extra quick, 'probably doesn't warrant it's own blog post' post  today.. Sometimes in-between doing blog bits & bobs I do take a few snaps that don't really fit anywhere. Not an outfit post, not really a full beauty thaaang, but still something that I think is worth talking about. Today, it's floral crowns. I had a thing for them when there was the original bandwagon to jump on, but I think I'm now back to really feeling the floral love. Maybe it's because it summer, and anything like this over these months seems to amplify summer vibes?! That and I love anything I can work in with a braid. I'm thinking this with a simple, chunky plait? This one my mum picked up for me at Tatton Park the other week. It was from a little independent stall and my mum did get it with blog pictures in mind.. She's a good egg for finding little bits for me on her travels that I ...

T-SHIRT DRESS

Image
Choker - eBay, Dress - c/o Hype. , Heels - Boohoo I took these pictures just after a full day at work which is why (I hope that's why anyway..) I'm looking a wee bit sleepy/dishevelled. I think that's why I jumped straight into this outfit - t-shirt dresses are always a serious contender when you're looking for a comfy, minimal effort outfit for an evening out. I like one that's slouchy, so I can belt it up to make it a bit more dressy. Anyway, as the short legged creature that I am this dress needed hitching up a little bit on me & this did the trick. Forever disappointed that I didn't get a gene that provided me with legs like Gisele.  Now, I'm not really sure I'm cool enough for Hype., but I do really love this print. It's all round summery and kind of makes me feel like I'm in a Hawaiian shirt.  I think for that reason alone I'll probably have to take it on my jollies (I've tried to not mention the fact I'm going...

FLORAL & A CHUNKY JUMPER

Image
Headband - Primark, Jumper - Boohoo, Dress - c/o Little Mistress , Shoes - Boohoo I guess I need to ask my pops to mow the grass.. currently I'm looking like I've got trotters. My lovely little Boohoo heels have all but disappeared. Boo!  Despite my less than elegant looking trotters, I've tried to go all girly today. Y'know when you just fancy being all feminine and flouncy? My wardrobe is full of dark clothes, but I like to keep plenty of pretty bits in there for the days when I'm looking to go back to my pre-adult self. As a true 90s child, my mum used to dress me in plenty of floral dresses (probably with a matching scrunchy), which could be why I still love a floral dress like this one. It's actually quite a fancy dress.. it'd be perfect for a wedding, but as I am queen of having nothing to do & nowhere to go, I've worn it kind of casual. I've just slung a jumper over the top to dress it down. It's one of those knits I...
