THIS SEASON'S COAT

Image
It's been a while since I took pictures in my room. It's actually one of my favourite spots to take outfit shots, but it also requires a lot of rearranging... My childhood bedroom is about to give up with housing an adult's worth of stuff. I'm still house hunting and can't wait to have my own place set up to make blogging easier! Here I'm just wearing what I wore to head out for food. We were off for burgers at Urban 1/4 so my tightest skinny jeans weren't my best idea, but they're my no effort, smart-ish option. With it being that awkward inbetween season weather, I dug this New Look coat out of my wardrobe. It's a lighter option and I do like it, but I'm still after a new coat for Spring. I have no idea what to go for though, so for now this will have to do! The boots I'm wearing are new in from Ego. I feel like they up my sass by at least 60%. Any sort of pointy shoe has that effect I think. I've got a lot of casual bo...

MAKING MATCHING SETS

Image
I love the whole industrial, urban look when it comes to blog pictures, but really... My life isn't that urban. I'm definitely not outdoorsy, but I've grown up with the Peak District a short trip away and it's always these scenic spots where I end up taking pictures. I guess I still find posing your heart out in the city centre a little daunting, but I'm working on it! Here we'd actually headed out to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to check out the KAWS exhibition. Definitely worth a trip if you're into that sort of thing! I realised pretty quickly though that my outfit wasn't that practical... White trainers? Not my best idea. They did get a bit sludged up, but it was worth it. I mainly wanted to wear them to go with the grey. The top & trousers aren't actually a set, but it turns out most of my clothes are the same colours and I can just match things up myself these days. Lol. The leggings are oldies, but the top I picked up a few we...

THE BOOHOO ALL IN ONE

Image
Okay. I’m a little bit in love with these jumpsuits from Boohoo. I ended up getting both the grey and white, as I know they’re something I’ll wear more than I should. They’re just really comfy and one of my favourite no fuss options – I can just pop this on and that’s my outfit pretty much done. That’s what I love about jumpsuits… Just having one item that makes up an outfit is so much eeeeasier. Getting into your nuddy pants every time you need a wee – not so much. I’m wearing this one piece with the Rihanna X Puma wannabe trainers I got from Public Desire. I know, this sort of thing isn’t for everyone, but I was after a nude/tan pair that’d go with everything. These fit the bill, plus I don’t really mind too much that they’re basically a knock off – a good thing about living in the suburbs of Sheffield is that a load of folk have no idea what these trainers are imitating anyway. If I had been able to get hold of the originals I would have invested, ...

WEARING MATCHING TONES

Image
Okay, so actually more of a camel mis-match, but I'm still loving this sort of thing recently - wearing shades from a similar palette. I was going to go for my camel coat too, but as I’ve been wearing it far too much I went for the grey… It’s still one of my favourite colour combinations anyway. The leggings were an inexpensive newbie I added to my wardrobe last week. I just wanted something camel to wear on my bottom half as I’ve got loads of tops in that colour… These are just right for pairing up in matchy outfits! I’m always on the lookout for trousers/leggings that I can wear with my trainers too – I’m pretty much living in them on weekends! As much as I love all this layering up in natural tones, I am looking forward to bringing out some lighter colours for my spring/summer wardrobe. I’m thinking light denim & white t-shirts of every variety. Bliss! Faux Fur Collar - Claire's / Jumper - New Look / Coat - Primark / Leggings -...

MATCHING GREY & THAT CAMEL COAT

Image
Sunglasses - Céline Coat - Primark, Jumper - Primark, Trousers - Primark, Trainers - adidas Superstar I say 'that' camel coat 'cause it's becoming quite the regular in blog posts. As much as I love buying clothes, it's admittedly a bit pointless seen as I mostly just wear around 10 favourite items on a rotate. Lol. Currently, this Primark number is my go to when I’m dashing about. To say it’s only a cheapo version it still does a good job at keeping me cosy! I’m still on a hunt for the grey version… It could be that it's in fact a mythical Primark beast, but I did hear that it exists. Without intention, this outfit is all Primark. I don’t even buy much from there anymore (I usually can’t face tackling the queues), but I still have some good basics lurking in my wardrobe. The little tutle neck jumpers I always find to be good value, and the trousers I grabbed in the sale last year. They’re really soft, perfect for the chillier days. My on...

VIDEO: THREE WAYS TO WEAR A BODYCON DRESS

Image
Video day, and this time round it's three ways with a bodycon. To be honest, I don't really wear clingy clothing that often. I love everything baggy so I can get as chubby as possible without even noticing. Lol. I'm mostly kidding, the main reason is I'm a comfort over everything girl. Having said that, I do like having the odd body skimming item in my wardrobe.. Y'know, a bit of a go-to when you've no idea what the fudge to wear on a night out. Who hasn't overdone the bodycon at unaaay after all?!  The outfits I've gone for are the usual casual, night out and somewhere in-between sort of outfits. The dress is one I picked up over the weekend, it wasn't expensive and I thought it was quite cute with the collar. Anyhoo.. Time to go enjoy a lazy Sunday evening. GREY ON GREY

Image
Sunglasses - New Look, Top - Primark, Skirt - Topshop , Heels - New Look I got into this whole grey clothing phase and now I can't get out of it. Meh. I still like it, and I think it's a casual sort of colour that goes with the kind of things I get up to.. basically nothing too glamorous. I'd actually worn this during a trip out to a food festival (aka Heaven), where instead of heels I wore my usual black boots. Stomping through a somewhat muddy field in these New Look heels wouldn't have been a good idea.  The skirt I picked up over the weekend as a payday treat. It was only £22 which I don't think is bad for Topshop. I was after a couple of pencil skirts so I can get away with bare legs for a little longer.. I'm not ready to accept tights back into my life anytime soon. I was actually after the longer length style (those ones that look really good even if they may be a tad difficult to walk in) but apparently they ain't so common on the hig...

ALL WHITE

Image
Sunglasses - New Look, Jacket - New Look, Top - Primark, Jeans - Topshop, Boots - Forever 21, Bag - Paul's Boutique Alright, so not completely all white. A little bit of grey & black thrown in there too, along with those chunky New Look sunglasses that I've been harping on about. My ma took these pictures this weekend, just after I got back from Barcelona.. I had this vision that I was going to look like some cool, tanned European chick, but it didn't translate. Boo. I did manage to catch quite a bit of sun though while I was there, hence the white.. Definitely felt a lot more bronzed up whilst wandering round Barcelona, opposed to Sheffield. It's not that I mind being pale, I'm just a bit over it now and ready to feel a tad more summery. I did sling on that New Look jacket as it was a little bit nippy. It's pretty old now, but I always feel it's handy to cling onto for those days when I'm venturing out of my traditional black. Plus ...

GREIGE

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Coat - H&M, Top - Primark, Trousers - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 I guess what I'm wearing here is a pretty similar look to the last outfit I wore with this coat, but I liked that whole grey and beige mix. This time round the grey part of what I'm wearing is purely comfort. Without that bit of heel on my boots and the coat to smarten things up it does kind of look like lounge wear, but it was a Sunday and slouchy clothing called! I've also got to that mid season awkwardness where knowing how to dress weather appropriate has completely gone out the window. I'm still stuck in chunky scarves and knitwear even though it's probably time for a Spring update. DAY & NIGHT OUTFITS

Image
*All outfit details in video below Just a little update as this video has just gone up on my channel - if you follow me on Twitter you might have seen that I popped to London (I say pop.. by 'pop' I mean a three hour car  journey  each way) for a little  visit. We were just heading down to see my brother, but I managed to get a few snaps/clips of my outfits as I was packing. I mainly wanted to get this on here because of that grey set from H&M. Probably my favourite thing in my wardrobe right now.. It's just one of those things that looks 'put together' without involving a whole load of thinking about what to wear. Anyhoo, all the extra details are in the vid below!  youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x
