DENIM OUTFITS - #AllInTheJeans

Image
Steffi Jeans  & Outfits - All Miss Selfridge As I mentioned earlier in the week, I recently popped into Miss Selfridge to try out their new personal styling service in Meadowhall, which tied in nicely with the launch of their new #AllInTheJeans campaign. I naturally went for the Steffi Jeans  - a super high waist with all that sucky-in action I need. Instead of the usual black wash I'm always drawn to, I ventured out there with the 'Pretty Blue' denim. A true blue like this is something I haven't ever really worn, but with summer coming up I thought they'd make a nice change. I find it so easy to get into a rut with wearing my black skinnies way more than I should, so these should help me mix it up a tad! My lovely Personal Stylist Emily was on hand with plenty of ideas for how to wear them, without pushing me too far outside of my comfort zone.. There was still plenty of black thrown in there & a whole plethora of crop tops. Old h...

MISS SELFRIDGE PERSONAL STYLING SESH

Image
Outfits c/o Miss Selfridge You know what's really nice? To do something fashion/blogging related in Sheffield! Yeah, up here isn't exactly the fashion capital, but it is lovely to be able to just have a quick trip to Meadowhall for a blog thaaang rather than sulk about not being able to go to a dreamy sounding event down in London. Miss Selfridge invited me into try out their new personal styling service and I thought it sounded loverrrly. I've never used a personal shopper or stylist, so it was nice to see if it was actually worth it - it definitely is! When you're rushing around shops trying to find an outfit it's sometimes overwhelming having a million and one varieties of skinny jeans or tees facing you. I had the lovely Emily (for me the perfect kind of stylist, not too pushy but ready with all the latest from Miss Selfridge and some ideas on ways to wear that I hadn't thought of) on hand to help me pick out some outfits to go with the Steffi...

FLORAL CO-ORD

Image
Hat - H&M, Necklace - Delilah Dust, Co-Ord - Miss Selfridge , Rings - c/o La Moda After a month or so of doing pretty well on the zero spending front, this was my treat to myself. I tried it on while I was having a window shopping moment.. I just wanted to see what I'd look like in something a little bit fancy, and this did look completely beautiful on the mannequin.  So off I popped to the changing room for my little dressing up sesh.. The next thing I knew I'd spent nearly £60 on one outfit. I know for some people that's probably not a lot for a good quality set, but as a girl who needs a lie down when I spend over £30 in Topshop it was a biggie. I think I'm just getting to the stage where I want quality, not quantity. As much as I love getting a bag full of goodies from Primark, I think these days I'm probably better to buy one thing I really love than loads of bits & bobs I don't really need.  Annnnd I'm so glad I decided to buy ...

FLUFFY JUMPER & CHECKED JEANS

Image
Top - Miss Selfridge, Jeans - Topshop , Boots - Boohoo, Rings - Pandora I definitely decided to wear this jumper on Easter Sunday because it made me feel like a fluffy chick.. there's nothing wrong with getting a bit Easter inspired with clothes right?! If I'd had a pair of those fabulous lace bunny ears then I'd have definitely have popped them on. Instead, I'm a hatchling in checked trousers. Onto those trousers. You know how I went on about finding a Topshop Joni Jean dupe the other day? Well I did.. but then I caved and bought this checked pair anyway. Logic was never my thing. To be fair, I hadn't actually found a dupe for this checked print.. I say 'hadn't' as I have since seen a Primark pair doing the rounds. Drat & double drat. All the same, I'd still probably have bought these. They're a nice material, do all that sucky-in business that I like & I know I'll wear them to death. I've added the little OO...

velvet dress

Dress - c/o Oh My Love , Camo Jacket - Miss Selfridge, Fishnets - Primark, Flatforms - H&M, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington Say hello to my post-spooky season dress. I know Halloween is all over with, but I just can’t help but dress like a grumpy little goth! I don’t think my miserable face is helping.. what is wrong with me?! In my defense  I think I could possibly had frostbite by the time I took these pictures. Ha. I seriously am in love with this dress. It’s velvet, short, and looks cool with fishnets. Perrrfect. Sorry if my blog is kind of becoming 100 ways to style a camo jacket. I’m home (again) which means my wardrobe is limited (again). I wouldn’t have bothered wearing it but I didn’t want you all thinking I was actually considering risking pneumonia in just the dress! I’ve got a few new goodies to show you soon. . they’ll probably feature in outfits or a mini haul, depending on if I buy anything else. I really shouldn’t, but I need glov...

crop top & mom jeans

Sunglasses - H&M, Crop Top - Topshop, Belt - Primark, Jeans - Miss Selfridge, Creepers - Underground, Wildfox Inspired Jumper - c/o SheInside Right I gotta be quick because I start getting ready & transform myself into a zombie/vampie/dead girl asap! Maybe I'll post a few pictures if it's a success?! Finally found myself a pair of mom jeans that don't look completely ridiculous! I've been going into Miss Selfridge nearly every week trying on the new stock they have in their little vintage section. It's called Blue Rinse.. I'm not sure if they do it everywhere but I love their stuff. Some of it is really good value. These jeans were £22ish with student discount.. I know you can get them on eBay but it's such a faff finding a decent pair. I think £22 for Levi's is pretty decent anyway! Also treated myself to the cute green top from Topshop, it was only £9 (milking the student discount while I can) so I thought it wouldn...

DIY pink rinse

Image
Necklace-DIY, Dress-Miss Selfridge Went out last night & was so bored of my hair that I decided to have a go at a pink dip dye! All I used was food colouring & leave in conditioner. Slap it on and job done. It just washes out so perfect for us wimps haha ;) it's more of a old lady pink rinse but ah well. I've bought some blue today so I'm gonna do it purple next time. Yayyy. Really bad pic of my nails for the night. Continuing with the pink theme (such a girl) I did a glittery yin - yang type thing.. think it looks more like a clown outfit though ha. x
