THE ONE PIECE

Image
I like me a onesie… I guess anything that feels like a comfy, adult sized baby grow is going to be up my street. Comfort always comes first! This one I picked up a few weeks ago, something I went for as a smart/casual option. I’d probably be more inclined to wear it with heeled boots, but right now I’m living in my Dr. Martens sandals. I love the overly chunky style, and I can spend a full day in them without crippling my feet. Confession – I wore them all day whilst stripping wallpaper. Thankfully, they survived the ordeal. I can’t wait to soon give you a house update. At the minute it’s all pretty ugly, but I know I’ll get there eventually! I’m sure there’ll be tearful ‘why didn’t I buy a new build?!’ moments along the way… Although hopefully not too many! I really can’t wait to get things sorted and get into a new routine. SPRING LAYERING

Image
I think I’ve been wearing this knitted high neck way more than is acceptable for what’s the end of May. Having said that, it’s one of my favourite little layering piece. I love it for getting wear out of summery items that it’s not quite warm enough for. A knit like this is something I wear plenty right through from those colder months up until it’s properly (if ever!) warm. Here I’m just wearing it under this casual playsuit, one I had for last year’s holiday. This will probably make it along for this year’s jols too – it’s just what you need when you’ve overdone it tanning up. Ouchy. I think it is designed with the beach in mind, but I like it smartened up a bit with the knit. I’m definitely more of a legs out person than someone that can bear the upper arm chill – give me shorts and a thick jumper any day!   Sunglasses - Céline / Jumper - Topshop / Bag - H&M / Playsuit - Forever 21 / Boots - ZARA SHOP THE LOOK youtube ...

WARDROBE FAVOURITE: THE BLACK PLAYSUIT

Image
Jacket - Topshop, Playsuit - Forever 21, Boots - Deichmann I could wear this sort of outfit all the time. All black, boots (my favourite) and something extra baggy that doesn't make me feel like a little boy. I only ever really bought this playsuit  to wear on the beach, which I did.. but I've been loving it since I got home too. I can wear it like the bridge between pyjamas and normal clothes - I don't have to stick a bra on, I feel like I'm properly dressed but it's also really comfy. It also hangs nice, so there's none of that feeling uncomfortable business when you've ate too much Mexican food.  I took these pictures before I popped out over the weekend so I had actually made an effort with all the beauty stuffs. Actual lipstick rather  than lip balm, hair properly curled and I'd also lathered up on the fake tan. My holiday tan has all but peeled off (cry..), so I've been topping it up with the fake stuff. I'm going to r...

EYELASH LACE ROMPER

Image
Playsuit -  c/o Miss Foxy , Bag - Paul's Boutique, Boots - Forever 21 Oh how it’s lovely to be in something suitably summery! The novelty of being able to get my legs out a bit more is yet to wear off. I’m making the most of it in this cute playsuit from Miss Foxy , a new addition to my S/S15 wardrobe. It has a bit of a nightwear vibe going on which is always a winner in my book.. I think this could easily double up as some girly PJs, but also as a floaty and feminine romper on hot days. I think it's probably the eyelash lace that does it - it's such a girlish style and I love how it finishes it all off. All in ones like this are my favourite for this time of year anyway. They still feel summery, yet there’s no chance of flashing your knicks and having a Marilyn moment as you might in a short summer dress. With the playsuit I just went for some black accessories, keeping everything very monochrome (old habits die hard!). That's usually wh...

CREAM OUTFIT & RED LIPPY

Image
Playsuit - c/o Desire Fashion , Jewellery - c/o Swarovski Summer is well and truly in full swing, making me a much happier person. It's so nice to be back to BBQ teas, lighter nights and making the most of my summer wardrobe. It gets to this time of year when I completely forget that I'll ever have to wear wooly tights or an extra layer under a jumper.. for now I'm quite happy to be in shorts & a t-shirt forever! As it's feeling extra summery, I've gone for a sunshine season essential - the playsuit. An all in one always feels like an easy option for me, mainly because you don't have to work out if things go together. For that, I can cope with having to get nearly nuddy whenever I need a wee. I've just popped this little lace number with some cream brogues - I was just off for a wander & wanted to avoid boots.. I've got to remember that boots aren't exactly the best option for muggy days!  Ow & I had one of those 'I'...

FLORAL PLAYSUIT

Hat - H&M, Sunglasses - H&M, Choker - eBay, Playsuit - c/o Ashanti Brazil , Belt - Primark, Rings - c/o La Moda , Boots - Dr. Martens It's been a fair old time since I've had my chunky Docs out. Don't get me wrong, I still love 'um to little bits, but they're not exactly shoes for a comfy day. They're just SO heavy, it's like doing a leg work out walking about in them! I do still think they look fab with girly outfits like this flouncy playsuit, so I do on occasion brave wearing them. It's as close as I'm ever going to get to a 'legs day'. The playsuit is a newbie I'm loving for the sunny season. It's very 'me' - kind of feminine but the sort of thing that you can wear with loads of black so you don't feel like such a princess. I know it's quite a deep V neck, but I love that. I just stack on a couple of necklaces to detract from the boob sitch - having long hair helps too (it's saved me f...
