NY Outfit 1: Baseball Tee

Image
Top - H&M, Clear Clutch - New Look, Sandals - Primark Nails - Essie (Blanc) Yep, I know what you’re thinking. ‘Lydia, you went all this way to New York & you’ve took pictures sat in your hotel room’. Ha. The thing is, when you’re wandering round NY the last thing on your mind is posing.. There’s just way too much to look at! The last collage includes some of what I got up to in this outfit. It kind of looks like the postcard I would have sent you all if I could have. Ha.  The top/dress I'm wearing proved to be quite a hit with the Americans. Most of them found it rather amusing to ask me 'do you play baseball?'. Evidently, it is pretty obvious that I don't look like the sort that plays baseball. My hand/eye coordination is basically non existent.. However, my head is apparently a magnet for footballs/rounders balls/tennis balls. You name it, it's nearly knocked me out.  Irrelevant stories are kind of my trademark right?! Not ...

NEW YORK Haul! Victoria's Secret, Tiffany's & Beauty

Image
Going to New York obviously meant I had to do some shopping. As Boohoo provided spending money for the hol (yep, they are the bestest ever) I could use the pennies I'd saved up myself for treats. Other than the odd 'I LOVE NY' tee, I didn't buy any clothes. Do I need any more clothes?! No. Instead I went a bit crayyyzy for American beauty products. Sephora is like my dream. Make Up Forever had me wanting to spend mega bucks but I managed to just stick to a couple of products. As it seems like there’s a Victoria’s Secret on almost every street in New York, I had to get myself to some fancy undies. They are nicer than cheapo ones aren’t they?! I got the body spritz stuff too in the hope that it would suddenly morph me into a VS angel. I’m still waiting for that to happen. My biggest treat of the hol was my little Tiffany bracelet. I’ve never really been bothered about Tiffany jewellery but after going the big shop that all changed. I decided th...

NEW YORK! First few snaps..

Image
Now, I’m not really sure how I’m going to tell you all how amazing New York was. After a week in the big city (and me boring you all to death about it on Twitter/Instagram) I am back in the country, reminiscing about the bestest trip ever.   Today’s pictures are just some random snaps that I thought some of you might like a nosey at. I've got loads more that I want to show you (2500 ish.. eeek I better get cutting down!). I’m going to be posting them in little chunks to avoid a huge picture heavy post.. maybe outfits, purchases & other random NY related bits & bobs?! Don’t worry, I’ll spread them all out so you don't find it completely mind-numbingly boring! My lovely mamma came along with me & I couldn’t have asked for a better travel buddy. I’m not at all ashamed to admit that she’s my bestie, and she definitely deserves a treat. We wouldn’t have been able to afford a week in Skegvegas, so a holiday of a lifetime to New York is beyon...

crescent moon jumper & exciting news!

Image
Hat - H&M, Sunglasses - Primark, Jumper - c/o Daisy Street , Lace Skirt - River Island, Platform Trainers - Charity Shop Lipstick - Illamasqua (Ignite),  Nails - Sinful Colours (Bikini) & Rimmel Matte Top Coat I’m sure I’ll have probably posted an outfit just like this in the past.. I guess it’s just my sort of thing isn’t it? I have just about managed to get out of my all black obsession, but I just thought the jumper went well the the gothy little lace number. The skirt was purchased in the River Island sale many moons ago (hehe worst joke ever Lydia) and has been paired with lots of baggy over sized tops to cover up a bit. I’m actually wearing gym shorts under it.. dead trendy. Not. Ha. On to my big news! A few of you will have already seen me getting all giddy on Twitter/Instagram, but I wanted to let the rest of you know that I only went & won the Boohoo #globalstyler competition! How insane is that?! Especially when so many amazingly styli...

Boohoo #globalstyler

Image
Hat - c/o Once Upon a Time , Fur Collar - Topshop, Leather Jacket - Topshop, Dress - c/o Boohoo , Studded Socks - DIY, Bag - New Look, Boots - Aggy X Dr Martens It’s amazing what a snowy background can do for making you look rather bronzed. I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago, when my garden was looking more like Narnia. I’m sure you’ll all have heard about it but Boohoo are running a really cool competition to win a trip of a lifetime.. eeek! I wouldn’t say no to that. The last proper holiday I had was 10 years ago.. Tres tragic! All the deets for entering can be found here . Oooh & guess what?! The dress  I'm wearing has been reduced to £8 in the sale! That’s the kind of price I can deal with.. under a tenner. Ha. Yes this isn’t the most practical outfit, but I’m gonna whack on a pair of chunky tights & hope for the best. twitter  /  bloglovin  /  pinterest  / insta@fashioninflux x
