Party season is the moooost wonderful time of the year, so when Topshop invited me in to check out their personal shopping service I was more than excited. As much as I love getting dolled up, I find the whole process of outfit hunting stressful – I’m pretty particular, so it usually takes me forever! Not only that, but I got to try the personal shopper experience in Topshop at Meadowhall… I love anything that’s blogging related and local! It’s nice to know that the rest of the country hasn’t been forgotten about, and we can all have an extra special shopping treat. I’ve been to a couple of personal shopping events before, and the team at Topshop didn’t disappoint! I was greeted with some dream boat outfits that the lovely Kirby, my personal stylist, had picked out for me. She found me so many pieces that were just my sort of thing! That’s all part of the service - you just give them a call, let them know what you’re after, tell them your size and they’ll do all the faffy...

I started out my blog as a hater of jeans. We’re now reaching two posts in a row with denim features. How times have changed. These days I’m a jeans lover – I actually ordered two pairs from ASOS this week, with this pair a being a new treat from River Island. I was so chuffed to see this style in the parcel… I’d been after some cute crops for weeks! They’re also extra soft -   I was sure I wouldn’t be able to fit into my regular size, but these fit really comfortably. There’s nothing like not being able to fit into a pair of jeans to put a whopping downer on your day! With today being the 1st of September I’m also starting to think about digging out my turtlenecks. Me and the high neck are always going to be A/W best buds. This little knit is the first I’ll be wearing as we head into the in-between season – it’s not that heavy to cause me to melt. I’m already struggling to deal with summer being on its last legs. I don’t mind when it’s done and we’re into full blown winter, but this bit where you know you’re making the most of the last few sunny days makes me grumpy. Right now I’m enjoying what’s left of it with some summer layers – sheer fabrics & the odd bralet flash. I wore this on a pretty casual night out, so I didn’t feel quite so nuddy – I ended up hoisting up those trousers Simon Cowell style to avoid showing all my tum! The trousers I know I’ll carry on wearing into the autumn and beyond. They’re those ones from Topshop that we’ve all gone a bit mad for, but I do think they’re a good black bottoms alternative. Anything to get me out of my ripped up skinny jeans is a good thing! So this little tea dress quickly became the blogger's fave, didn't it?! I can definitely see why. It's a really flattering fit that seems to work well on loads of different shapes. As quite a petite person, I love something girly like this. The tie waist works well for me too - I'm always about something that pulls in my waist and skims over my hips... Anything to distract from my rather ample bottom half! I actually got this for a night out and wore it with these boots - I've no time for wibbly-wobbly heels these days. While I've seen this dress plenty in the blogosphere, I've not seen as much of it up in Sheffield. Flouncy little numbers like this are my favourite for evenings out, so it felt like a good purchase for girls night... I managed to justify the spend anyway, as I know I can wear it during the daytime too. Right, slobby Sunday awaits. I've spent the day stripping the house, so Netflix, chocolate & a duvet it is! With a couple of months of wintery-ness to go, I still can’t stop purchasing all things cozy. As much as I prefer summer, I do enjoy getting all wrapped up and snuggly in a fluffy knit. Clothing that makes me feel like I’m tucked up in fluffy pyjamas is my idea of happiness. This dress is one of my most recent, winter purchases. I got it in H&M for £29.99 and I’m so glad! I’ve got nothing like this in my wardrobe – probably because it is more of a statement piece… It’s not like we all have a rack of ankle length, knitted dresses. Although, that does sound like quite a nice life. I’m calling this one my alternative winter essential, because I do think it’s completely appropriate for the season, yet it still feels on trend? Basically, it doesn’t make me feel like I’m wrapped up like the Michelin Man, but I’m still ready to take on goose pimple inducing temperatures. Jacket - H&M, Top - Primark, Jeans - Topshop , Flats - Topshop Mom Jeans were probably last year's thing, but I still like this pair because they're comfy and they're about the only pair I can get in without the worry that I may or may not now be too chubby for them. Sunglasses - New Look, Top - Primark, Skirt - Topshop , Heels - New Look I got into this whole grey clothing phase and now I can't get out of it. Meh. I still like it, and I think it's a casual sort of colour that goes with the kind of things I get up to.. basically nothing too glamorous. I'd actually worn this during a trip out to a food festival (aka Heaven), where instead of heels I wore my usual black boots. Stomping through a somewhat muddy field in these New Look heels wouldn't have been a good idea.  The skirt I picked up over the weekend as a payday treat. I love how she can always get my style but also do that mamma thing where they sort of sway you into dressing more how they’d like..  Lol. I know she likes to see me in a few lighter colours but I’m happy for someone to drag me out of my boring black! Plus this baby blue is really pretty for this time of year.  I’m just wearing it with those charity shop high waisted trousers that I’ve worn relentlessly over the years. I’ve definitely got my money’s worth to say they were probably about £3. Really I should get back into hunting down some charity shop bargains.. I feel like there was a bit of a craze for it at one point that’s died down somewhat now. Does anyone else still go?!
