MONOCHROME BIKINI

Image
Bikini - c/o Simply Beach I think I've almost made it through everything holiday related, with this bikini being one I've saved until towards the end as it is a special one. Most of my bikinis are pretty inexpensive for holiday - I end up buying way too many so if they were all extra swish I'd be needing to sell a kidney.. But oh how it's lovely to have one that does feel a bit fancy pants. I got this Seafolly one from Simply Beach , and while it is a little more expensive than I'm used to, it's worth it for the quality. It fits perfect (I went for an 8 top and 10 bottom, always in need of a little extra room on the bottom half) and it's sturdy. By that I mean that it's not that flimsy sort of fabric that leaves things feeling like they aren't in place.. With a bikini I want as much sucking in and support as I get with undies, if not more! The top has a bit of padding (thank the Lord for that) and I think the bottoms are quite a flatterin...

BEACH VIBES

Image
Sunglasses - Quay Australia , Two Piece - c/o USC , Crochet Bikini - eBay, Birkenstocks, Ring - Skiathos purchase So I did post about this USC two  piece  a while back, but it's so much better in a summery setting, over a bikini with some (scruffy looking) beach hair. I don't dress too fancy on the beach, it's more a decent bikini and sunglasses that won't mean I'm a squinty squintster. It is nice though to have something cute &  matchy-matchy to cover up in.  On the accessories front it's the bare minimum. Birkenstocks are pretty much all I wear during the day on holiday. They're super duper comfy and while their time was probably last year, for me I still think they're an essential. Those sunglasses are my favourites from Quay. I keep meaning to get the black pair seen as I'm always drawn to the monochrome version of anything. Meh. Annnnd lastly the ring. It was one I picked up in a cute shop in Skiathos - they actually have som...

LACE UPS

Image
Sunglasses - New Look, Bodysuit - eBay I think everything lace up is a bit of a thing right now? I've seen loads of those Kimye inspired tops doing the rounds and I am a bit of a sucker for them. It's the sort of thing you can only really get away with over summer so I guess I've jumped on the bandwagon - in true cheapo style. This version was another one of my eBay beach ready purchases and only cost £7.99. I think that's enough when it's quite a trend led thing  that'll probably be a goner in a few months. It's actually just a bodysuit, but it's more of a swimming cozzie  material so I braved it on the beach, hoping the poppers didn't ping open (it was fine, no awkward flashing).  Now I'm back from my jols I think I'll wear it with my denim skirt on a warmer day (if it gets that warm now.. Summer seems to have done a bunk). Sheffield may not be Skiathos but I'm hoping I can get away with it for an evening out or something! ...

BLACK BASICS WITH TRIANGL

Image
Bikini Top - Triangl, Bikini Bottoms - eBay, Sunglasses - Ray Ban What's a blogger's holiday without a Triangl bikini? Haha. Yup, I think every blogger and their grandma has one but they are rather nice. This is the second holiday I've taken one with me and I do like them for a bit of a 'special' kini. Y'know, the one to save for when you're really wanting to go all out with the beach outfit. Like last year though I did swap the bottoms for a slightly comfier pair off eBay. They were about £3, that Brazillian sort of style that means minimal tanlines.. When in Greece right?! I do love the Triangl bikinis but for a full day sat in the sun I do find they're a wee but uncomfortable. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

BEACH TROUSERS

Image
Sunglasses - Ray Ban, Vest Top - Primark, Bag - New Look, Trousers - Forever 21 The holiday blog posts are here. I promise I won't drag it out too long - maybe a few evening outfits and favourite bikinis? I did take a lot of bikini pictures (when I'm old and wrinklier than a crumpled paper bag I do want a few pictures from the youth to show the grandkids), but when it came to evening outfits I was a bit of a flop - to be honest, I was so chilled out that it was easy to forget about taking pictures of everything. I think I needed that though! I did take a few pictures when I was heading down to the beach - mostly these aren't the most stylish looks as I just throw on something comfy and cool. I wanted to show you these trousers though. Forever 21 makes my day you know. I've never ordered anything from them and disliked what I'd gone for. I always find it's really good value for the price. These trousers were around the £20 mark, are a really nice fit a...

PAISLEY TOP & WHITE SHORTS

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Kimono - H&M, Top - c/o Missguided , Shorts - Primark, Flip Flops - Primark I told you I managed to be quite good at packing 'mix&match' holiday gear - is this the second post with this neon kimono now?! I mainly popped it in my case to avoid wearing all monochrome outfits, although I did still opt for the black & white thaaang more than regularly.  Have I blogged about this little vest top yet? It's nothing fancy, just quite a cheap one from Missguided but I do indeedy like it. I guess it's just a less boring take on the usual, boring black or white top I go for.  I do believe this is the end of the holiday outfits - hopefully it's not been too boring for everyone, I know I've dragged it out beyond belief but it's rare that I get somewhere different to take pictures. On another unrelated note, I am now working full time (yup, I'm officially a grown up and it's bloody scary), which means life is ob...

BLACK BEACH OUTFIT

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos, Top - Forever 21, Bikini - Primark, Trousers - H&M, Bag - Matalan, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza I got pretty obsessed with these trousers whilst on holiday. To be fair, I'm a bit obsessed with all black trousers anyway. I probably own about 4 pairs (why?!) and I'm forever stopping myself from adding the latest must have version to my life - maybe I'm on a quest to find the perfect black trousers?! It definitely seems that way. Anyhoo, these ones are just that cheap pair I wore a few posts previously ( here ). They were just right for wearing during the day over my swimming cozzie and dressing up for the evening. I dunno, I just think a high waist, loose black trouser is pretty flattering. Plus they go with the Birks that I cannot stop wearing! My little ma plaited my hair for this post - I think she'd still quite like me to be the age when she'd do my hair in cutesy styles for school. I'm feeling a bit Lara Croft (the po...

BEACH DAY OUTFIT

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Kimono - H&M, Bikini - c/o Beach Riot After well over a year I finally found an opportunity to wear this kimono just how it should be worn. In some fabulous sunny setting with a tan. Big woo. I actually remember posting this bikini/kimono combo on Instagram sometime last summer.. now that really is planning in advance.  Keeping it short & sweet today as I don't want to ramble on about the irrelevant when there isn't much to this 'outfit'. I think this is more of a lifestyle post anyway - the snippets from my holiday that don't fit anywhere else. Still, they're pictures that I made my lovely Ma faff about taking before I let her sit down for a day of sunbathing.. plus she's a dab hand with that camera now! youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

CROCHET TOP

Image
Sunglasses - Cosmo Mag Freebie, Crochet Top - Primark, Swimming Costume (just seen) - eBay, Shorts - Primark,  Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza So, crochet is a pretty big thaaang right now don't you think? Everyone seems to be mad for it and naturally, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The top I'm wearing is only from Primark.. I bought it just before I went away thinking it'd be the perfect beach cover up. It did actually fit the bill. Since I came back to Grotsville Sheffield I've worn it just as much as I did on my jolls - only this time it's more often than not with skinny jeans or a maxi skirt. The shorts I've popped it with here are from Primark too - bit of a bargain outfit day all round seen as the sunglasses were a freebie with a mag. I bought 3 pairs of these for the summer.. naturally the other pairs were in black & white. They were only £4 so that's me stocked up for the rest of the sunnier months.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /...

TRIANGL BIKINI

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Birkenstocks - c/o Sarenza , Bikini - c/o Triangl Swimwear Another bikini post.. nothing fancy but it is a pretty nice bikini. Now, I do feel a bit like these days there isn't a blogger in the world who hasn't got a Triangl  bikini (their blogger outreach team must be on forrrrm!), but I can't help but be completely drawn into the latest blogger obsession. Not only do they look good, but that scuba-diving-esq material makes them feel extra good quality.  I will say that as much as I like Triangl bikinis, they're not the most practical. I'm one for getting totally zoned out with a book, which means I want to be all comfy and chilled in whatever I'm wearing. I'd say these are more the thing to go for when you want to impress - they look fabulous on but they can definitely be a wee bit stiff & sweaty to sit in all day. To be fair, I am a hard-core-8-hours-in-the-sun-sunbather.. I lasted about 3 hours before I swapped t...

THE DIY BANDANA CROP TOP

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Top - DIY, Bottoms - Peacocks I kind of had an ' umming & ahhing' discussion with myself about doing any bikini blog posts. After thinking about just how long it takes me to find the perfect beach outfit that it might be relevant. There's not going to be all that many of these BOOTD (Bikini Outfit Of The Day.. not got the same ring to it has it?!).. I've since realised that my DSLR shows my body in way too finer detail - my phone's shoddy picture quality seems to be much more flattering. Anyway, the scenery is freakin' fabulous. I spent way too much of my time noseying at all these fancy monster yachts & wondering if there was some super celeb on one of them.  The bikini top I'm wearing is one of those I've been making & selling on Depop. I say 'I' - my mum watched me using the slowly using the sewing machine in a rather awkward fashion for all of 10 minutes before she took over. Apparently it ...

BLACK BEACH DRESS

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Necklace - Accessorize , Dress - Primark, Flip Flops - Primark Nothing all that fancy here - just an outfit for tripping down to the beach. I mainly wanted to post this to show you the little dress, a £3 bargain (I think it was around that price anyway..) from good old Primark. It's probably designed to be worn as a vest top & I definitely wouldn't brave it as a dress in this country but it was fine for a wander down to the sea - it's amazing how on holiday you suddenly decide it's okay to walk around with a bikini VPL (maybe a VBBL - visible bikini bottoms line?) and not mind if your dress flashes your bum a bit. You do see some sights on holiday, and after seeing many a bloke walking down the strip in Speedos I came to the conclusion that I'd be fine like this. I'm wearing a pair of sunnies that I'll be wearing a lot in these posts. They are indeed knock off Ray Bans (I'm thinking they're probably call...
