MONOCHROME BIKINI

Image
Bikini - c/o Simply Beach I think I've almost made it through everything holiday related, with this bikini being one I've saved until towards the end as it is a special one. Most of my bikinis are pretty inexpensive for holiday - I end up buying way too many so if they were all extra swish I'd be needing to sell a kidney.. But oh how it's lovely to have one that does feel a bit fancy pants. I got this Seafolly one from Simply Beach , and while it is a little more expensive than I'm used to, it's worth it for the quality. It fits perfect (I went for an 8 top and 10 bottom, always in need of a little extra room on the bottom half) and it's sturdy. By that I mean that it's not that flimsy sort of fabric that leaves things feeling like they aren't in place.. With a bikini I want as much sucking in and support as I get with undies, if not more! The top has a bit of padding (thank the Lord for that) and I think the bottoms are quite a flatterin...

THE NEON BIKINI

Image
Bikini - H&M, Sunglasses - New Look Scrap everything else I'm supposed to be talking about. That boat has a freaking slide on it. A slide. Oh how the other half lives! Me & my ma spent a good portion of the morning discussing who could be on it.. There are usually a few glam looking yachts around the beaches in Skiathos and I love being able to speculate about what these fancy folk are up to. It's probably a little bit sad, but if you are a bit of a people watcher then it's a good one.  Aaaand I've gone off on a tangent. Although there isn't much I can say about this bikini other than it's pretty and it's nice and I like it. It's one I saw last minute and really didn't need to buy (I ended up with more than one bikini a day.. WHY), but I thought it'd do me good to get something bright in my life. Just about all of my other bikinis were black or white. I saved this for the last day when I was as tanned as I'd ever get ...

STRIPED JUMPSUIT

Image
Jumpsuit - Forever 21 , Sandals - Office This was one of my favourite holiday outfits. You know the 'ooh I'll save that for the last night' sort of look. Plus I decided I had white bits I needed to tan up before I dare flash them - this is backless, so it was a braving braless job. Back home I wouldn't really risk it, but on holiday it just feels like you can get away with so much more (as long as you keep an eye on the gals).  Anyway, the jumpsuit was one I picked up in a big holiday haul from Forever 21. Most of my evening outfits were from there - I always like their stuff and it's cheap enough to not feel too bad if they do  only get worn on  holiday (I'm trying to get some wear out of some bits now I'm back but the weather ain't quite Greece heat). This one I'll hopefully save for an evening out.. I just love the fit and the navy makes a nice change. Ugh, I wish I could wear holiday outfits forever!  youtube / bloglovin ...

LACE UPS

Image
Sunglasses - New Look, Bodysuit - eBay I think everything lace up is a bit of a thing right now? I've seen loads of those Kimye inspired tops doing the rounds and I am a bit of a sucker for them. It's the sort of thing you can only really get away with over summer so I guess I've jumped on the bandwagon - in true cheapo style. This version was another one of my eBay beach ready purchases and only cost £7.99. I think that's enough when it's quite a trend led thing  that'll probably be a goner in a few months. It's actually just a bodysuit, but it's more of a swimming cozzie  material so I braved it on the beach, hoping the poppers didn't ping open (it was fine, no awkward flashing).  Now I'm back from my jols I think I'll wear it with my denim skirt on a warmer day (if it gets that warm now.. Summer seems to have done a bunk). Sheffield may not be Skiathos but I'm hoping I can get away with it for an evening out or something! ...

FLORAL FROCKS

Image
Dress - H&M, Sandals - Office Did I show you all this dress when I went to Barcelonaaaa (I'm singing it in my head)? I bought it specifically for the trip with Roxy - I  thought  it was dressy enough in case I needed something a bit more 'dolled up', but also cute with casual sandals. Plus it put me well and truly back in touch with my girly side. Much needed. H&M is always my go-to when I'm in need of an outfit for something specific, that also won't mean I end up scrimping and saving for the rest of the month. I think this was around the £25 mark, so not bad for a little party frock. The sandals are the pair I took on holiday last year and wore religiously - same happened this time round. They're just really comfy but they have got a bit of a heel to stop me feeling quite so short in the leg. If Office ever did a pair in black it'd be like the gods had spoken.  Oh, and I am teetering on the edge of having had way too much sun here...

BLACK BASICS WITH TRIANGL

Image
Bikini Top - Triangl, Bikini Bottoms - eBay, Sunglasses - Ray Ban What's a blogger's holiday without a Triangl bikini? Haha. Yup, I think every blogger and their grandma has one but they are rather nice. This is the second holiday I've taken one with me and I do like them for a bit of a 'special' kini. Y'know, the one to save for when you're really wanting to go all out with the beach outfit. Like last year though I did swap the bottoms for a slightly comfier pair off eBay. They were about £3, that Brazillian sort of style that means minimal tanlines.. When in Greece right?! I do love the Triangl bikinis but for a full day sat in the sun I do find they're a wee but uncomfortable. youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

BEACH TROUSERS

Image
Sunglasses - Ray Ban, Vest Top - Primark, Bag - New Look, Trousers - Forever 21 The holiday blog posts are here. I promise I won't drag it out too long - maybe a few evening outfits and favourite bikinis? I did take a lot of bikini pictures (when I'm old and wrinklier than a crumpled paper bag I do want a few pictures from the youth to show the grandkids), but when it came to evening outfits I was a bit of a flop - to be honest, I was so chilled out that it was easy to forget about taking pictures of everything. I think I needed that though! I did take a few pictures when I was heading down to the beach - mostly these aren't the most stylish looks as I just throw on something comfy and cool. I wanted to show you these trousers though. Forever 21 makes my day you know. I've never ordered anything from them and disliked what I'd gone for. I always find it's really good value for the price. These trousers were around the £20 mark, are a really nice fit a...

A WEEK IN SKIATHOS

Image
You know when you come home from holiday and you have that 'this time last week', 'this time two weeks ago' thing going on for god knows how long? Happening. Right now. And probably for the next month or so. Why do holidays have to go so quick?! You spend all these months with countdowns on your phone and then before you know it you're back on that plane sulking because your tan's peeling off (I feel like I was brown for all of 10 minutes..). Even though I'm a bit grumpy that it's all done it doesn't take away from the fact that it was a loverrrly week. Greece was no worries - I know before we went we were a bit stressed about the situation there but everything was just as it had been the previous year and the people were equally just as lovely. I'm a big fan of Skiathos, it's not chaotic and overly commercialised, yet there's plenty to do and see. It's just right for a week of relaxing (I basically had t...

CREPE TROUSERS & A CROP TOP

Image
Elephant Necklace - Accessorize , Cord Necklace - Market, Top - c/o She Likes , Trousers - H&M, Bag - Matalan That cat was the cutest thing ever. In fact, all the kitties in Skiathos were on the 'Coming Home With Me' list. My lovely mamma took these pictures whilst we had a wander around the town. She's got used to this whole 'every opportunity is a blog picture opportunity' thing now - she even asks if I want them taking when we go somewhere pretty now. She's getting rather handy with the camera these days.. Now if I could only stop doing that ridiculous Chandler Bing smile then we'd be onto a winner.  The outfit I'm wearing was actually picked based on comfort. It was one of those days where I'd somewhat overdone it on the tanning front - who knew burning the inside of your elbows could be so painful?! The top meant the bra was relegated (in fact, the bra was relegated for the whole holiday - if I can't get away with going bra...

SKIATHOS - HOLIDAY ROUND UP

Image
Ow why are holidays so lovely?! It makes it all the more  disappointing  when you return to the much colder climates. I wanted to do a quick little round up on my week as generally, the rest of my life is quite boring & I don't get much chance to do this sort of 'lifestyle-y' thing. Plus the setting is oh so pretty - a huge improvement on the usual Sheffield scenario.  These pictures are mainly the ones that don't fit anywhere else - I'm not sure anyone on Facebook is bothered about seeing what book I'm reading nor would it fit in an outfit post, but it's still part of my week that I thought you might like a peek at. I'm horrendously curious (nosey.. curious sounds better), so I love seeing this kind of thing on other blogs - I'll be enthralled with everything from what you're eating to where you can drink good tea.  Has anyone else been to Greece or Skiathos?! It's such a lovely place. If you're off there, ...
