PATCHWORK JEANS

Image
Aaaand we have another denim outfit. I’m at least proud that all the styles I’ve been wearing are pretty different. Usually I just end up buying various versions of black skinnies. I’ve got a pair coming up in few posts time that are the dream, yet aren’t your typical jeans. For now though, it’s a tweaked version of my favourite high-waisted style – a new pair from Dorothy Perkins. Aren’t they cute?! I love that they fit sort of loose, yet work well on giving a gal some shape in the bottom department… I can find some high-waisted styles are ridiculously unflattering in that area! I’ve come to realise that pocket placement is a big deal. Most of this outfit is actually from Dotty Ps. I picked out a few bits for their Style Heroes campaign and I did really like the outfit. It sounds very ‘First World problems’, but picking out clothes online for blogger projects can be really tricky. I struggle working out what’s going to go well together based on a couple of pictur...

LOOK AGAIN A/W HAUL

Image
A couple of weeks ago I showed you some of my favourites from two new collections from Look Again – a dreamy range from Stacey Solomon and some classic looks by Laura Scott. With A/W quickly coming round, I’ve picked out a few collection favourites for refreshing my wardrobe – think chunky knits, timeless coats and sheer layers. Stacey Solomon First up, I went extra snuggly with a few bits from the Stacey Solomon collection.  I love stocking up on fluffy jumpers at this time of year – the thought of being able to get wrapped up in an oversized knit makes the prospect of saying bye to summer not so bad! I went for the extra fluffy zip up cardigan, a good one for layering up in, then the black and white heart print knit… With a mostly monochrome wardrobe, I thought this would liven things up! Laura Scott After sorting out the cosy side of things, I picked some work wear bits ready for A/W months. The black shirt is definitely a staple, something I’ll...

THE ALTERNATIVE WINTER ESSENTIAL

Image
With a couple of months of wintery-ness to go, I still can’t stop purchasing all things cozy. As much as I prefer summer, I do enjoy getting all wrapped up and snuggly in a fluffy knit. Clothing that makes me feel like I’m tucked up in fluffy pyjamas is my idea of happiness. This dress is one of my most recent, winter purchases. I got it in H&M for £29.99 and I’m so glad! I’ve got nothing like this in my wardrobe – probably because it is more of a statement piece… It’s not like we all have a rack of ankle length, knitted dresses. Although, that does sound like quite a nice life. I’m calling this one my alternative winter essential, because I do think it’s completely appropriate for the season, yet it still feels on trend? Basically, it doesn’t make me feel like I’m wrapped up like the Michelin Man, but I’m still ready to take on goose pimple inducing temperatures. Since I added it to my life I’ve worn it like this (more dressed up, something I could wear for hea...

GREIGE

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Coat - H&M, Top - Primark, Trousers - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 I guess what I'm wearing here is a pretty similar look to the last outfit I wore with this coat, but I liked that whole grey and beige mix. This time round the grey part of what I'm wearing is purely comfort. Without that bit of heel on my boots and the coat to smarten things up it does kind of look like lounge wear, but it was a Sunday and slouchy clothing called! I've also got to that mid season awkwardness where knowing how to dress weather appropriate has completely gone out the window. I'm still stuck in chunky scarves and knitwear even though it's probably time for a Spring update. BABY BLUE DENIM

Image
Jumper - Never Fully Dressed via Depop , Jeans - ZARA, Boots - Forever 21 I don't think this even looks like it's the middle of December.. There's a whole lot of greenery going on and the pastels sort of look adds to it I think. I may be wearing denim jeans, but I think they're pretty light and summery looking. They're really old now, those rips have gradually got bigger and I feel like they're good for days when something's too big for you. I love my skinny jeans but I don't love trying to bounce about into them after way too many pigs in blankets. The jumper I'm wearing is that one from the little two piece I showed you. I've worn this separately loads, it's just a good basic.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  / Instagram x

SIMPLE STUFF

Image
Jumper - c/o Warehouse , Flares - H&M, Bag - c/o La Moda , Boots - c/o Forever 21 This is the kind of outfit where there's not much going on, but that's what I like about it. Just a jumper and flares, nothing fancy or totally 'out there', but it's the kind of thing I wear a lot. That jumper you've all seen a lot recently. It'll be one of my favourites from this season I think. A nice soft knit you can't go wrong with.  The flares are the same. You've seen them a lot. I probably should have bought some proper ones (these are just lace leggings I have to wear with thick tights and two pairs of boy short pants so you don't see my bum.. glamorous) as I wear them so much. They're on my I-want-but-I'll-never-get-round-to-buying list. Other than that there's just that little shoulder bag in there. I've been using this one quite a lot over the last few weeks. It's big enough to fit all my garbage in without lu...

WAFFLE KNIT & CULOTTES

Image
Choker - c/o Boohoo , Jumper - c/o Boohoo , Belt - Primark, Culottes - Primark, Boots - Forever 21 Another quick one from me. My indoors pictures are always debatable, so I usually only get a few snaps. Or two, to be precise. I'll be playing with my new fancy schmancy lighting this weekend though, so we'll see how that works out. Hopefully it's going to revolutionise my world of taking blog pictures. Ha. We'll see. It does make filming a lot easier, the only thing is I'm not sure I like seeing my face so clear. In reality that bit of blur and lesser quality is a lot more forgiving.. Anyway, that's my millionth ramble about this lighting stuff. Today was just a simple day, something quite warm and comfortable for work (that belt gets looser throughout the day). I think I'm going to wear a similar version of this outfit with a Christmas jumper for something sickeningly festive. How quick is Christmas coming round by the way?! I'll definitely b...

KNIT TWO PIECE

Image
Knit Two Piece - Never Fully Dressed via Depop , Jacket - New Look, Boots - Dr Martens So I've been meaning to show you this for YONKS. Originally Depop treated me to a few spends to treat myself back in October (big apologies to Depop for taking like two months to decide what I wanted.. I am pretty much the most indecisive person ever) and after eventually landed on these little two pieces from Never Fully Dressed. Isn't it sweet?! I feel like I've been dressing like such a grown up recently (BIG ugh), so it's nice to go back to that kind of girly stuff I still have a thing for. Something cutesy with big boots is a bit like my old school uniform. It's the first thing I've ever bought off Depop. Over the summer I sold loads on there.. My mum's still nagging me to get back to it seen as my clothing collection has now also taken over my brother's wardrobe. If you've not used Depop before it's definitely worth downloading.. It's a...

GREY TROUSERS & TEMPORARY TATS

Image
Jumper - Boohoo , Temporary Tat - c/o Boohoo , Trousers - Primark, Flats - Primark Back in those Primark trousers. I do indeed love them. I've mostly been wearing them for work, mainly because they look alright with the flats for that kind of scenario.. For everyday I'm thinking I need to get some form of white shoe. Maybe trainers. I just think they look a bit too 'work' like with the flats for slobbing about round town. Anyway, that's something on my shopping list that I'm going to have to put on a back burner for a while. Christmas shopping is the current priority.  Nothing else is outside of my usual uniform (some sort of turtle neck, plenty of black), aside from the temporary tat. What do you think?! I'm sold. It's like going back to my younger days covered in ugly Power Rangers ones, but this time updated for my 23 year old self. I love the silver.. I only usually wear silver jewellery so this makes a nice alternative. I could definitel...

JUMPER DRESS & KNEE HIGHS

Image
Jumper - H&M, Belt - Forever 21 , Boots - I wish I could remember but they're about 4 years old.. Boohoo do similar! :)  Y'know that feeling when you see something fabulous in H&M for a really good price? It's a good one. There aren't many other places I go to where I see something I love and get excited because I can actually afford it.. I love Zara and Topshop as much as the next gal, my bank balance on the other hand doesn't. One day I'm going to walk into that sort of shop and be able to buy whatever I want, but for now H&M will continue to be my favourite shopping spot. That little ramble relates to this jumper dress. Really comfy, a nice soft knit (can't be dealing with anything scratchy) and the perfect length for wearing with knee high boots.. It's not quite as short as it looks here, in reality it's the sort that you don't worry about flashing your bum in. When I realised it was only £14.99 I was indeed a happy b...

BELL BOTTOMS

Image
Hat - H&M, Choker - c/o PYLO , Elephant Necklace - Accessorize, Jumper - H&M, Bell Bottoms - c/o PYLO I'm gradually becoming more and more obsessed with flares. I'm so glad they've kind of come back on trend.. I don't always feel like skinny fit bottoms do much for me unless I'm wearing super high heels (short leg problems).  The flare on this pair is pretty big.. I'm struggling to think of any way to describe it other than really flared flares. Not very poetic, but you get my drift. I do love them though, I whack on a pair of high heel boots and I feel like my invisible feet make me look like I'm swishing across the floor.  The jumper I'm wearing is a new one I got from H&M at the weekend. I decided that as I didn't own a cream jumper I definitely needed one. I had no intention of wearing it with these flares as I'm always think cream and white is an awkward mis-match. I quite like it here though.. I think it's t...
