SIMPLE IN LEVI'S

Image
Jumper - Primark, Bag - c/o La Moda , Coat - H&M, Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Boots - Forever 21 This is my  go-to kind of outfit. Simple, nothing too fancy and just generally basic. I like wardrobe essentials - cosy  jumpers, the favourite jeans you've worn out completely and the handbag that goes on every trip out. Yeah, I love dressing up too, but it's always nice to have those 'comfort blanket' items.  I was just off to town here (I think it was to spend another 20quid in Boots that really wasn't necessary..) hence being pretty casual. Plus, it was way too windy to go for anything other than practical. I want to start wearing my floppy fedora again but I just know the first time I do it will blow off and leave me awkwardly chasing after it. Anyhoo, I didn't bother with a hat and just ended up with that hair all over the place sitch. When is it summer again?! I've been asked quite a bit about these jeans. I think it'...

MINT COAT & FLUFFY BOBBLE HAT

Image
Bobble Hat - c/o Amelia Jane London , Jumper - Boohoo, Coat - c/o Bank Fashion , Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Boots - Forever 21, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington I'm wearing two things I'm neway obsessed with today. One's the fluffy bobble hat, and the other is the big thick coat. They're two winter essentials that I just know I'll wear to death over the coming months.  The coat is carrying on that pastel trend we had last year I guess.. Updating it with a bit of a Kimye vibe thanks to that big collar and it's sturdy material. I love it, plus it goes perfecut with my typically monochrome outfits. I'll start with a quick mention about the hat. It's from Amelia Jane London, who do incredibly cute fluffy winter accessories. I naturally went for black, but there's a part of me that really wants a baby pink one. They also do hats to go over riding helmets that are lovely enough for me to suddenly want to get on a pony. youtube  /  b...

BLACK JEANS & JACKET

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Top - Forever 21, Jacket - Boohoo, Jeans - Levi's, Slip Ons - Topshop I think this is one of my favourite smart/casual outfits, even if it is on more of the casual side. If I was off out, I'd probably just swap the slip ons for some strappy sandals to jazz it up. That's my go-to these days - if I'm going out I stick on jeans & some pretty heels.. Done. No faffing about with a dress that I'm pulling down all night (yeah, uni days - this happened a lot), or struggling with a playsuit that leaves me naked every time I nip for a wee. I'm not saying my party dress days are over, but I'm happy with casual evening outfits for now.  Well that was a little ramble wasn't it? Anyway, I'll quickly mention the jacket. I've worn it on here before but it's recently become a 'more than once a week' item. Y'know, those few things that you wear so much that you worry people will think that you haven...

CROCHET & TASSLES

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Jacket - Missguided , Crochet Top - Primark, Shorts - Levi's, Boots - Forever 21 Um, did I mention I'm a bit obsessed with this top? Even if I didn't mention it, I'm guessing you'll have worked it out after this is probably the third or fourth post with me wearing it. I'm just getting the most out of everything crochet until it gets a bit too nippy for all that holey stuff. Plus, this is my if I was at V outfit. Oh how I wish I was wearing this to some fabulous festival, not just for a wander around Sheffield. Did any of you go to V Fest?! If you did, I'm ridonkulously jealous. Anyhoo, I'm off as I'm writing this up with coffee in hand ready to crash. Now I'm a full-timeeey (feel so grown up it's depressing) I write posts up late at night as a little wind down from a day at work. She says, whilst drinking coffee to keep going a little longer. It makes sense somewhere along the way! youtube  /  bloglov...

LEVI JEANS & A HALTER NECK

Image
Halter Neck - Forever 21, Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Sandals - Office I'm back in these jeans after once again forgetting about them.. how could I forget about old school Levi's?! I keep thinking I might sell them, then I realise the kind of thing I'll want the moment they're gone. Everyone's got to have a good pair of black jeans in their life right? Outfit wise I was just off to my usual haunt (Meadowhall) so I wasn't wearing anything fancy. The top is just one I bought for my jollies that I never got round to wearing (along with a host of other stuff I didn't need) - thankfully there's still a bit of warm weather left meaning I can wear it in sunny/not so sunny Sheffield. The sandals are that pair I've worn to death since I got them. They're not too dressy for day but they make my stubby legs look a tiny bit longer. Winner.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

SLOUCHY VEST

Image
Tikka - c/o La Moda , Coat - H&M, Vest - Zara, Shorts (just seen) - Levi's, Boots - Forever 21 I'm not sure I can really pull this kind of thing off. I totally freakin' love this little glitzy head thing, but I just wish I was a little bit cooler for it. It's made for the Rat & Boa kind of girl who has a much more exciting life than I do. The most excitement I get is a trip to Ikea, not a weekend at a festival or in Beeefa. Anyhoo, my lack of excitement in life doesn't at all relate to how cute these La Moda headpieces are. I just wish I had a fancy pants place to wear one to! Seen as it is such sparkly little thing, I just decided to pop a lazy day outfit with it. Who doesn't love a  slouchy vest on their day off? I've worn this one from Zara so much - it's a size too big but that makes it extra perfect. It just doubles the comfy factor.  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  i...

BLACK MOM JEANS

Image
Bustier - John Lewis (old - I had it for prom!), Clutch - c/o Emma Warren Design , Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Scrunchy - c/o Pretty Twisted , Sandals - Office Are mom jeans ever that flattering? Possibly not. Do I still like to wear them and wish I could be an extra in Saved By The Bell? Yep. I dunno, I'm a huge fan of mom jeans, but I've just got that feeling that in 20 years time it'll be something that we'll look back, a bit like my Ma did the first time round, and think 'Christ.. what am I wearing?'. All the same, for now my final verdict is that I'm still a fan. Low rise doesn't do much for me seen as I'm blessed with the short legs long body gene. These Levi's are a pair I much lusted after, but haven't actually worn as much as I should have. Even though I think they're lovely, I'm so glad we have all this super soft denim these days - these ones are so think and stiff!  I actually think it's likely that ...

DOUBLE DENIM

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Denim Jacket - Levi's, Mesh Vest - Missguided, Jeans - Zara, Rings - Pandora, Flatforms - c/o La Moda I didn't last long in the full outfit I'm wearing here, mainly because I quickly realised it wasn't the most flattering thing I've ever gone for! I decided I felt a bit like a cross between Justin Bieber (those jeans are ratherrr slouchy) and a version of Danny Zuko dressed in white. In the end I swapped for my long H&M black coat & Boohoo heeled boots to return myself to feeling like a girl.  The main reason I ended up looking like a boy today was because I wanted to make use of my Levi jacket. It's been tucked up in the back of my wardrobe over the winter, and seen as it was the results of months of charity shop hunting I felt that it deserved some love. I'm actually thinking of selling it to a home where it is appreciated more as I just don't wear it enough! Maybe I'll see if I can find a few things ...

DIY customised Levi’s Jacket

Image
I found this jacket in a charity shop for a bargain price (£6 eeep!). I decided it would make a good DIY project. I love The Ragged Priest & their customised jackets, but thought I could have a bash at making my own for much cheaper.  I've added a few pictures of how I did it.. you can't really go wrong, it just depends on what look you're going for :) ORIGINAL       BLEACH STUDS   DYE  What do you think?! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.. Oooh & I might pop this on my shop if anyone is interested! x

peplum top & disco pants

Image
Su nglasses - Primark, Levi's Jacket - Charity Shop, Peplum Top - Primark, American Apparel Disco Pants, Creepers - Topshop Sorry that it's another post wearing something from my last haul.. I just couldn't wait to wear this loverrrly peplum top. I think the colour is perfect for us blondies. I'm definitely going to pop back & get it in white. The £8 price tag makes it too tempting. The jacket I'm wearing is my new project. In these pictures I've only bleached it, but today it has got attacked with studs & tomorrow it's getting dip dyed! I'm going to do a DIY on it when it's finally finished. If people are interested then I might stick it on my shop.. I can't really justify having two Levi's jackets :( x
