Turtle Neck - H&M (£7.99) Make-Up Sponge - H&M (£1.99) Hat - H&M (£7.99) Rimmel Matte Topcoat - Superdrug (£4.59) Striped Dress - Primark (£10) Grey Midi Dress - Primark (£10)  I'm not sure that these few bits justified a whole post of their own.. I thought I'd show you anyway as there are a few little winter bargains. I've suddenly realised that I don't actually own anything warm and sensible. Apparently, I just wear crop tops all year round like a weirdo! Just kidding, but I really am lacking in the long sleeved department.  H&M is one of my favourite shops. I really could have gone a bit crazy in there the last time I went in. Their basics are such good value, I know I'm bound to end up going back to get this turtle neck in every colour available. These days I'm not that much of a fan of Primark.. anyone else think think they've upped their prices & kept the quality the same?! Anyway, I'm not completely sla...

notd: late on the galaxy hype

Image
Ring - c/o Celliana I know I know, I'm about 2 years behind with this one! I've never actually tried doing galaxy nails, and the pictures didn't turn out bad, so I thought I'd post them anyway. I only have small hands, which means small fingernails. Subsequently, squishing a detailed pattern onto them can be difficult. Some of them ended up more like multi coloured splodges, but I'm pretty proud of my thumb! Ha.  Have any of you ever tried out galaxy nails? Ooooh & my La Moda giveaway is still running so don't forget to enter! twitter / bloglovin / pinterest / insta@fashioninflux x

drippy Chanel nails

Image
Ring - Hippy Stall The people that follow Instagram will have already seen these nails.. sorry if you’re one of those guys! I thought I’d pop the pictures up anyway because I haven’t done a nail post for ages. I haven’t been bothering with my nails as much, I generally do them more when I’m looking for a way to procrastinate & not do Uni work. Wow I'm so naughty.  I can’t remember where I saw these nails but I had to try them out straight away. I don’t own anything by Chanel, nor am I likely to in the near future. Nevertheless, it’s an iconic logo. Who am I kidding.. I just thought it looked cool haha! The dribbles are quite easy to do as it doesn’t matter if you go a bit wibbly-wobbly!  twitter / bloglovin / pinterest / insta@fashioninflux x

cut out shirt & disco pants

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Shirt - c/o Glamorous , Disco Pants - American Apparel, Boots - Primark   Another disco pants outfit. Let’s be honest, they go with almost everything! Especially shirts. So naturally, this one from Glamorous went straight on with them. I love the cut out detail. This outfit is quite smart for me, but I just thought it was lovely for a Pizza Express date! How gorgeous would this shirt look as work wear?! It’s something that’s a bit different but not too out there. I'm selling a few bits & bobs on Ebay! Most of the bits aren't really my style any more, but I'm sure they'll be somebody elses! I've got a pair of Levi shorts up that are pretty cute :)  Have a little nosey here !  x

fave nails & This.Is.What.I.Do

Image
Above The Knuckle Rings - c/o This.Is.What.I.Do £3 each or £7 for a set of 3.. bargain.  I may or may not have got a little carried away with artsy photography in the garden haha. You might all be sick of seeing these nails but they are my all time faves. Whenever I want something nice but not too complicated this is what I go for. If nail art isn't your thing then Heather sells some beautiful designs that avoid all the faff! Check them out here . When the loverrrly Kate asked me if I would like to try out some of her new above the knuckle rings I could not say no. I have followed her blog (and attempted many of her DIY’s) since way before I started blogging, so this was an extra special treat! Anyway, enough with the girl crushing.  While my nails were semi-presentable I thought I'd take a few close ups, I think they're cute enough to deserve it. I love that they’re adjustable.. I have the hands of a 10 year old so this works out well f...

tutorial: feather nails

Image
I thought I'd attempt a tutorial on these nails! The current weather situation is grim, which means outfit pictures were a no go! My attempt isn't the best.. this was first go & I think bigger feathers would work better. However, the method still applies so I thought some of you might like to see how I did it! You'll need: Clockwise from left: Basecoat, Topcoat, Cotton  Bud (for cleaning up!), Nail File, Scissors, Feathers Step 1 Paint your nails with the basecoat. A colour that contrasts nicely with your feathers works best :) Step 2 Once your nails have dried, apply the topcoat. Let it get a little tacky before putting on your feathers (I cut mine up into smaller pieces) and use something like the nail file to hold down any fiddly bits. When the feathers are stuck down securely, apply a final top coat & leave to dry. Step 3 Cut down the feathers & give your nails a little file so there a...

nails & naughty bracelets

Image
Those of you that follow me on twitter will know that I am currently having a mare with my internet. As in it just doesn’t exist at my house anymore. UGH. If I do go AWOL for a few days then this is why! Until it has been revived I’m relying on the boy to let me pinch his. In return he can watch the football in peace. Fair’s fair?! Today's nails are using nail transfers, a post I'd seen on Vicky's blog.. gotta stop copying that gurl! They are so easy if you want nail art to look neater. I don’t think I’ll ever struggle to make wibbly wobbly lines straight again!  My naughty little bracelet is aimed at none of you obviously ;) I had some letter beads to use up and this was the result.. I was kind of thinking of the indcsn beanies?!  Or maybe I was having a little angry girl day haha. Anyhoo, it’s only up close that you see the naughty bit! From a distance it’s quite dainty & girly..  x
