OUTFIT LAYOUTS #5

Image
Outfit One Top - Select, Waistcoat - Boohoo, Skirt - Topshop, Hat - H&M, Slip Ons - Topshop Outfit Two Top - As Before, Skirt - Topshop, Sunglasses - H&M, Sandals - c/o La Moda Outfit layouts #5 doubles up as a bit of a 'Two Ways With..' post. The top that features in both outfits is that really cheap one I mentioned in this haul.. & it's also featured in an outfit post (I guess you could say I like it quite a bit). It's from Select, a new found favourite of mind for the odd mega inexpensive wardrobe addition. The first outfit is my typical smart/casual sort of thing.. Slip ons & a big hat to hide a less 'made up'. The next outfit is me trying to not opt to wear everything with black.. Instead I've replaced it with monochrome white. Baby steps y'know?! I do occasionally worry that some of you might be like 'Lydia wears the same things all the time'.. Seen as this top is already a bit of a regular. ...

Outfit One Top - Zara, Necklace - Topshop, Skirt - c/o Lashes of London , Silver Cuffs - H&M, Bracelet - Primark, Boots - c/o La Moda Outfit Two Top - c/o Lashes of London, Skirt - As Before, Hat - H&M, Heels - Missguided This essentially my two ways with the sparkliest of sparkly skirts from Lashes of London. It's like a baby pink glitter ball and that for me is marvellous. Now I just need a night out to get dolled up in Outfit Two. Unfortunately, as I am Queen of having an insanely boring social life (I've only got dressed into my work uniform for the last two weeks.. sob!), the casual outfit is looking much more likely. To be fair, I actually love this glitzy number paired with the slouchy vest. It's definitely more 'me'.. and by that I mean that at least one item of clothing is as comfy as wearing PJs. I'm such a sucker for wearing something loose, snuggly & not at all flattering.. can someone come make me be glamorous plea...

Outfit One Jumper - Zara, Trousers - c/o Loving Youth , Heels - Boohoo Outfit Two Jumper - As Before, Scarf - Boohoo, Skirt - Primark,  Bag - Boohoo Should I just have called this two ways with the wardrobe basic that I wear too much? Maybe I'm now the turtle neck girl. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who's worn them loads this winter?! Every season I seem to end up with something I wear to death, last A/W it was beanies, this year I'm stuck in roll neck jumpers. At least it's something my Nanna will approve of.. and maybe Ron Burgundy. I'm a bit of a Boohoo accessories fiend at the minute don't you think?! I'm a sucker for finding a bargain online. It's like ordering a present to you, from you. I'm forever just filling my basket up and then sitting there thinking 'shall I?'.. I usually cave at some point and order myself a little treat. Outfit One includes my most worn strappy sandals and Outfit Two featur...

OUTFIT LAYOUTS #1

I've done quite a few outfit layout posts on my blog before, but I'm thinking for the new year I'll try to make them more regular. To be honest, it's just nice to take my face out of the equation! There's only so long I can cope with looking at myself doing the same silly poses. Outfit One Top - Urban Outfitters, Skirt - H&M, Choker - eBay, Boots - c/o La Moda I bought this skirt at the weekend, so you should still be able to find it in H&M. It was only £15, but I know it's one that I'll wear a lot. It's a bit of an update on the classic black body con that's always a necessity in my wardrobe. Being a advocate of the 'when in doubt, wear black' phrase, I naturally went for an outfit with zero colour. In my defence, I did later add my new pink coat (cannot wait to show you that little pastel dream!). Outfit Two Top - George @ Asda, Dress - c/o In Love With Fashion , Boots - Boohoo It's still tartan se...

Paper Dolly Kit - c/o F&F HOW CUTE IS THIS?! I thought I'd kick off the new year with a fine bit of social media work.. let's just all take a minute to appreciate how lovely it is! As an aspiring social media girl myself, this is the sort of thing where I think 'wow, someone did gurrrd today'. Well done to the guys at F&F, it's one of the cutest little packages I've ever received. I'm going to keep it forever in case I ever have a little girl (don't panic, we're talking a long way off here.. I ain't planning no baby Fashion Influxs' any time soon).  Basically, the 'clothes' are all from F&F and the dolly is like a little paper version of myself. I loved playing with it, it's like a girly girl's dream! The outfits I went for were the sort I'd pick for an evening do. The black trouser suit is probably the most 'me'.. it is all black after all! Did everyone have a lovely new year by the ...

Outfit One: Top - Topshop, Beanie - Primark, Skirt - Primark Outfit Two: Boyfriend Jacket - New Look, Turtle Neck - H&M, Skirt - Topshop, Glasses - Missguided, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington Now, I can assure you that I added extra layers to these outfits.. just there is no way of nicely photographing scrunched up tights. Ha. I added extra jackets, fur collars & even gloves. Practical or what? The first outfit includes the lovely little daisy print top my ma got me for my birthday. It's one that I've been wearing with everything high waisted, hence the addition of the velvet skater skirt. I love wearing it tucked into high waisted black trousers as well.. the daisy print brightens up a dark bottom half. Outfit Two revolved around my New Look boyfriend coat. It's so pretty that I do sometimes just seek out outfits that will look perfect with it. Ha. I love it with a turtle neck (I know.. I love everything with a turtle neck!), it just goes r...

Outfit 1: Jumper - Primark, Necklace - c/o La Moda , Skirt - Topshop , Creepers - eBay Outfit 2: Crop Top - c/o Educate Elevate , Heels - Boohoo , Glasses - c/o MyOptique , Jeans - Levi's Outfit 3: Jumper - c/o  So In Fashion , Skirt - As Before , Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington , Creepers - As Before I love doing these outfit layout thingymabobbies, so hopefully you don't mind them too. For one, it takes my face out of the equation. Ha. I know this is a personal style blog, but sometimes I do wish it didn't mean seeing so much of myself, up close & in every detail. I'd say blogging definitely makes you a lot more aware of your appearance, don't you think? Sometimes it's nice to just focus on the clothes, they're the bit I want to see more of! In hindsight, I guess this would have made a better 'Topshop Vinyl Skirt Lookbook'.. but I only did two outfits. Lydia, you're a dope. I bought the skirt on pay day after lovingl...

Outfit 1: Turtle Neck - H&M, Dungarees - c/o Glamorous, Sunglasses - H&M, Boots - Topshop Outfit 2: Tartan Skirt - H&M, Jumper - Primark, Glasses - Missguided, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington , Creepers - Ebay Outfit 3: Bra Top - Missguided , Fedora - Missguided , Cross Over Skirt - Missguided , Watch - As Before, Boots - Aggy X Dr. Martens  I think I did an outfit layouts post at the start of the summer. I’ve been buying a few new bits to incorporate into my A/W wardrobe, so I thought it’d be a good time to show you how I’ll be wearing them. Now, I am in no way saying these are practical outfits (*ahem* Outfit 3..). Practical can be boring though right?! In reality, I will be adding plenty of extra layers when it does get chilly.. jumpers, woolly socks, the lot. However, playing A/W dress up is way more fun when you pretend that you don’t actually have to wear at least two pairs of tights every day. Ha.  Along with the new fluffy...

Outfit One: Tie Dye Tee - Once Upon A Time , Jeans - Topshop , Satchel - c/o La Moda , Shoes - Converse Outfit Two: Bralet - John Lewis, Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Choker - DIY, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington, Head Band - Topshop Outfit Three: Jumper - River Island, Sunglasses - H&M, Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Cuff - H&M, Boots - Aggy X Dr Martens Outfit Four: Trousers - Charity Shop, Top - c/o Stone Fox , Shoes - Converse, Glasses - Missguided , Satchel - As Before I was feeling summery today so thought I’d post a few outfit layouts for the sunshine season. I like to plan outfits sometimes, because I can be tempted to just grab the same old things that I always go for. These outfits have shown me what a high waisted lover I am. To me, summer is all about fetching the high waisted shorts out of retirement. Time to dare bare the pins & slap on a bit of instant tan.. Whilst trying to not look like a Wotsit. The cream pair o...

OUTFIT 1:  Top - c/o  Pretty Little Thing , Short - Charity Shop, Beanie - c/o  Once Upon A Time , Creepers - Ebay OUTFIT 2:  Dress - Charity Shop, Belt - Primark, Glasses -  Missguided , Platform Trainer - Charity Shop OUTFIT 3: Shirt - Charity Shop, Beanie - River Island, Shorts & Platform Trainers - As Before Bit of a different post today. It sounds daft, but I sometimes get sick of constantly seeing my face on here! There's only so many times I can look at that grumpy expression I've got. Ha. I popped to the charity shops this morning so I thought it was the perfect time to show you my purchases, the pink shorts & crazy 90s platform trainers. I bet some of you are thinking I've lost it.. my mum definitely will! I know, they're pretty ugly but I couldn't resist. If I pretty them up with some cute frilly socks I think they'll look alright. Us shorties all need a bit of height, even if it is in the form of ugly old trainers. Th...
