PARIS FASHION WEEK | OUTFIT TWO

Image
Did Paris ever happen?! It feels like such a long time ago now, but the year is already whizzing by. It's getting to my favourite time - warmer days, lighter evenings, with the summer still to come. If it could pause at about May then I'd be happy.  Back to Paris. It was actually quite a decent week weather wise, so I didn't feel silly with a little bit of flesh uncovered. The two piece makes a great transition piece - it's still a long sleeved knit, but the culottes make it something I'd only wear now we've broke the back of winter. I just wore it with my new Topshop dolly shoes... I'm so glad I went for these, they're just right for an in between heel - we were heading backstage so I didn't want anything that'd be too much of a pain to wander round in. I'd also had my hair done by a lovely L'Oreal stylist that morning... I'm so wishing I could manage curls as bouncy as this! I'd still got greyish tips here, wh...

LOUNGEWEAR LOOKBOOK

Image
Loungewear being a trend has made my life a happier place for the foreseeable future. Essentially, I can now live my life in pyjama like clothing. Brilliant. I probably spent the start of winter dressing quite smart (the shirt and skinny jeans combo has been my go-to), so it's nice to now turn to more casual clothing. I do think you can dress this sort of thing up too - I went with that choker/neckerchief for the first outfit, and a turtle neck for the third just to smarten up those fleecy jumpsuits. They're another level of comfy so I'm going to get as much wear out of them as possible! I've got all the product info in the video description - there is a lot of Boohoo involved, but I've just been loving their casual sets recently! youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  facebook  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

CO-ORDS... A TREND FOR 2016?

Image
Sunglasses - Céline / Jacket - Topshop / Two Piece - Forever 21 / Bag - eBay / Pandora Charms - Gift and Wrap I know the co-ord has been doing the rounds for a good while, but I still like a good two piece. This set was probably the last one I picked up, just a really casual one from Forever 21. I've worn it a few times, but this crap rainy weather is still spoiling all my flared trouser hopes for this season. Just look at the bottoms of these. Crying. I'd been out in the morning to do a bit of shopping, but in-between that & taking pictures we had a downpour. Needless to say, after this mini photo shoot they were straight in the wash.  For 2016 I know I'll end up buying more matching sets - I know I've probably said this before, but I always find they're easy outfits. I do think there's something smart about co-ords too... Maybe it's because it makes me think of the cute little twin sets my Nanna wears. Ha. Even though thi...

NAVY TWO PIECE

Image
Sunglasses - Ray Ban, Two Piece - c/o USC , Sandals - Office Officially feeling summery. Yeah, it hasn't been that sunny up in Sheffield, but it's warm and I can just about brave bare legs without feeling totally ridiculous. In miserable UK standards I'm thinking that's a good start. This little two piece is helping with the summer vibes.. It's such a cute number for the jols. I'll be popping it in my case for Greece - I'm thinking it'll be nice worn like this on day trips then popped over a bikini at the beach. I go in two weeks so I'm starting to plan a few outfits and get beyond excited. Bring on sunshine, chilling out and bronzing up.   youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

BLACK TWO PIECE

Image
Two Piece - ZARA , Heels - New Look You know when you just find that outfit that's pretty much everything you like about clothing and you want to wear it forever? That's this outfit. It's bringing me back to being a little more feminine, is typically monochrome and shows off the bits I want to show off (whilst covering up my curvier bottom half). Plus it was pretty cheap - I think it came to just over £20 for the two piece. The shoes are the ones I mentioned in my last post.. I did worry they could look a little bit like I was wearing an out on probation tag, but I love them on. Glam without being OTT? I needed something simple like this as my go-to heel so I'm glad I got them. For once that's all stuff that should still be in stores/online! I feel a bit useless sometimes when I'm blogging about clothes I've had for years, not something that you can just head into Topshop & pick up. I guess I don't buy clothing very often and my favour...

KNIT TWO PIECE

Image
Knit Two Piece - Never Fully Dressed via Depop , Jacket - New Look, Boots - Dr Martens So I've been meaning to show you this for YONKS. Originally Depop treated me to a few spends to treat myself back in October (big apologies to Depop for taking like two months to decide what I wanted.. I am pretty much the most indecisive person ever) and after eventually landed on these little two pieces from Never Fully Dressed. Isn't it sweet?! I feel like I've been dressing like such a grown up recently (BIG ugh), so it's nice to go back to that kind of girly stuff I still have a thing for. Something cutesy with big boots is a bit like my old school uniform. It's the first thing I've ever bought off Depop. Over the summer I sold loads on there.. My mum's still nagging me to get back to it seen as my clothing collection has now also taken over my brother's wardrobe. If you've not used Depop before it's definitely worth downloading.. It's a...

LACE CO-ORD

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Two Piece - c/o Ukulele , Shoes - Office So this was my party piece of the holiday. Y'know the sort, that one you've saved for the last night, when your tan is the best it's ever going to look & you're wanting to get a bit dolled up. I had planned to wear this on my last evening out in Skiathos, mainly because I was hoping the cream would make me look less Phil Mitchell after a day on the sunbed and more bronze goddess. I'm not sure we quite achieved the goddess tanning status (to be fair, I was finding peely-parts by this stage), but I do love this two piece on - it's just such a girly outfit! I'm not really wearing it any different to the first time I featured it on my blog, but I still think it's the sort of outfit that doesn't require much with it. This time I'm just wearing another pair of cheapo sunglasses I picked up in Skiathos town. Think I've gone from being a round sunnies to aviators kin...

NEON KIMONO

Image
Sunglasses - Cosmo Mag Freebie, Choker - eBay, Two Piece - fenchurch c/o Bank Fashion , Sandals - Office Ow I so love just how summery everything is here. Does winter have to ever come back? Yep, the thought of cozy nights in with Snowflake Cookie Yankee Candles & Christmas cake does excite me a little bit, but I know I'd still much prefer an eternal summer.  Really, I think the thing is I just prefer dressing for summer. It's so much easier to just throw on a couple of items rather than layer up to the point where you're not sure if you'll be able to breath in three pairs of tights. I love outfits like this, where it's just about being cool & comfortable - I'm not sure that anything really matches but I quite like the clash. That kimono; the one I wasn't even sure if I'd wear; has become a summer essential.. it may be highlighter yellow but it actually goes with so much in my mostly monochrome wardrobe.  youtube  /  bloglovin...

SHORTS SET & A KIMONO

Image
Kimono - c/o Stone Fox , Two Piece - c/o Dark Pink , Boots - Forever 21 So, I wore this co-ord in my recent Two Piece Lookbook , then I went and forgot to upload the pictures on here. I know that not everyone wants to watch my exceptionally awkward face on camera & some of us are just more 'blog' sort of people don't you think? I love watching everything fashion & beauty on YouTube, but I still think at heart I'm more into sitting and reading someone's daily rambles and flick through a few pictures. Annnd that was a long winded way of saying 'sometimes 'ya wanna read a blog, sometimes 'ya wanna watch YouTube'.  This little twosie is a recent addition to my ever growing collection. I think I need to remember that I can't spend my life in matching sets.. Lydia, it's okay to wear a top that doesn't go with your bottoms you know. There's just something cute about matching prints and colours - this baby blue shade is ...

FLORAL CO-ORD

Image
Hat - H&M, Necklace - Delilah Dust, Co-Ord - Miss Selfridge , Rings - c/o La Moda After a month or so of doing pretty well on the zero spending front, this was my treat to myself. I tried it on while I was having a window shopping moment.. I just wanted to see what I'd look like in something a little bit fancy, and this did look completely beautiful on the mannequin.  So off I popped to the changing room for my little dressing up sesh.. The next thing I knew I'd spent nearly £60 on one outfit. I know for some people that's probably not a lot for a good quality set, but as a girl who needs a lie down when I spend over £30 in Topshop it was a biggie. I think I'm just getting to the stage where I want quality, not quantity. As much as I love getting a bag full of goodies from Primark, I think these days I'm probably better to buy one thing I really love than loads of bits & bobs I don't really need.  Annnnd I'm so glad I decided to buy ...

CREAM TWO PIECE

Image
Sunglasses - H&M, Choker - eBay, Necklace & Rings - c/o La Moda , Two Piece - c/o Ukulele If you could make me a two piece of dreams, I think this would be it. It's gorgeously feminine with a little bit of Sienna circa festival season thrown in. Now, I don't think I'm going to pull off boho chic quite as fabulously as she does, but it can certainly have a bash.  I took these pictures earlier in the week, when it was much better weather and feeling all round summery. Unfortunately, I'm now writing this up sat looking out at the rain whilst waiting for my train back from Manchester (I've just had the best weekend seeing Katy Perry at the Phones4U arena thanks to Boohoo - that's if I haven't already bored you to death with my twitter updates). However, the minute I've got a suitable summery occasion to wear this I will be doing. It so needs to be popped together with a (real) tan, beachy, sandblasted hair and the smell of sun cream....

THAT PRIMARK TWO PIECE

Image
Two Piece - Primark, Top - Topshop, Boots - c/o La Moda I think this little two piece has gained a bit of notoriety in the blogosphere.. we've all seen it, we've all lusted after it then we've all searched through our local Primarks to try and hunt it down. Generalising just a little bit there, but I do think this is a good call on Primarks part.. I mean it's a two piece (everyone loves a co-ord right now), it's monochrome (hands down winner with me) and it was only £25 (the Gods of bargain hunting rejoice!). So yep, I'm blaming Primark's design team for my bank balance's woes right now. Anyway, I kept everything monochrome today with one of my favourite Topshop shirts. Nothing too flouncy, just a smart, simple fit. I bought this way back in October for the Cosmo Blog Awards and I was adamant that I'd wear it to death, mainly because for me, spending £30 on a simple top seems like quite a lot! Forgive me, I'm still in the student min...
