WHITE GRID PRINT & FAUX FUR

Image
Fur Collar - Zara, Coat - Boohoo, Necklace - Topshop, Top - Primark, Jumpsuit - Glamorous, Boots - c/o La Moda , Bag - Primark, Rings - Pandora Can you tell it was just a little bit windy here? When I say windy, what I actually mean is somewhat like being stuck in a wind tunnel. The kind of day where your breath is blown back into your mouth. Ha. So clearly, I'm not wearing the most practical of outfits. My Ma & Pa had asked if I'd like to go to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to take some pictures.. only I'd forgot that it is actually quite rough terrain. Basically, the gist of this story is that I looked like a bit of a plonker. I should have worn a waterproof coat, hiking boots & a wooly hat.  I can't really picture myself in hiking boots though, can you?! I guess I have to admit to failing to be practical most of the time. I mean, I'm walking around in baby pink and white in the mud. The jumpsuit is one that doubles up as trousers, I'm ...

MONOCHROME & FLOPPY HAT

Image
Hat - Boohoo , Jumper - c/o Glamorous , Coat - H&M, Trousers - H&M, Boots - Boohoo So off goes Christmas for another year, and back Lydia comes in her favourite black & white outfits. Some things never change! I'm feeling 'cutesied' out with all these traditional Christmas outfits so I'm glad to be back in something simple and smart. Bye bye novelty Christmas jumpers, I'll see you again next year. This is the second winter I've been wearing these H&M pleather trousers to death. As a £7 find in the H&M sale I'm quite loyal to them covering my leather trouser needs while I couldn't afford to buy some fancy ones. They fit really nice (providing I stop eating quite so many mince pies.. one with every cup of tea right?!) and they're actually a lot comfier than I'd imagine. The fact that I've even bothered to shimmy into them three days after Christmas is proof of that.. I have contemplated staying in a onesie fore...

KNITTED JOGGERS & SNAKESKIN

Image
Hat - Missguided, Cami Top - c/o Glamorous , Knitted Joggers - H&M, Boots - Missguided Some days, I start off with a comfy outfit & end up making it do for a night out. If I'm having one of those days where I can't be bothered with tight trousers, uncomfortable material or even a bra (hey, we all have those days girls!), then I go for something like this. Those knitted jogging bottoms are a winter purchase from last year & they have helped me out on both lazy days and trips out. The boots were just something I added to get me in some heels.. they glam everything up & I was having an 'I WANNA BE TALL!' day. If my leggypegs would like grow an inch or so for Crimble that'd be excellent.  Evidently, I've finally managed to get into the habit of taking pictures indoors. It's a lot easier over the winter months.. and warmer. Behind the view of the camera my room does end up looking like chaos but I try to tidy all the bits in the...

shift dress & knee highs

Image
Hat - H&M, Turtle Neck - H&M, Dress - c/o Glamorous , Coat - c/o SheInside , Bag - Primark, Boots - Boohoo So a lovely little trip out with the 'rents gave me the perfect excuse to get dolled up in my new Glamorous shift dress as part of their StyleSix feature. My dad (50 years old & working in engineering) popped on his creative director of Vogue hat, & scouted the perfect locations for my ma to do the photography & morph into Rankin. They do quite a good job don't you think?! Anyway, the StyleSix feature is six bloggers (I'm stating the obvious I know..) styling up something rather lush from Glamorous. I love that sort of thing, it's always nice to see what other people come up with especially if it's something you wouldn't have thought of! To be honest, I've probably gone for something that's very 'me'. A lot of black, boots & my winter essential.. a turtle neck. I freakin' wear them under everythin...

white jumpsuit outfit

Sunglasses - Acquired During Freshers, Jumpsuit - c/o  Glamorous , Creepers - Ebay Lippy - MAC Dark Side There isn’t much to this outfit, mainly because I don’t think you need much with this jumpsuit. Isn’t it fancy?! I have a new found jumpsuit love. This may even be my first one, but I’m sure I’ll be creating a collection soon. It’s like walking around in a posh onesie isn’t it?! At first, I was a bit worried that I was going to look like I was in those suits forensic people (I’m sure there’s a technical name for that profession..) wear. Luckily, that little drawstring waist pulls it all in & manages to keep it smart but still quite feminine.   Now, don't be thinking that my sunglasses are from some funky, hipster brand called 'Acquired During Freshers'. They literally were acquired during freshers. Ha. I'm sure they belong to one of my friends, but I think after three years it's safe to say they have been adopted.  bloglovin  / tw...

cami top & knee high boots

Image
Fedora - Missguided, Necklace - Topshop, Sunglasses - H&M, Jacket - H&M, Cami - c/o Glamorous , Leggings - Primark, Knee High Boots - 4+ Years Old! (basically I can't remember.. sorry!) Some of you may have seen on Twitter that I’ve been on the hunt for flat, tight, thigh high boots. Apparently, they have yet to be invented in my price range. Since taking these pictures I’ve managed to find a pair from Boohoo that I can’t wait to blog about.. But I’m still on the lookout for some a little bit higher & slightly more ‘Pretty Woman’. I know, my Nanna’s jaw will hit the floor, but I think with the right outfit they will be the perfect winter boot.  I actually dug these boots specially to wear with this little cami top. Camis are all over right now aren’t they?! I know they don’t look very practical for the upcoming chilly weather, but I’m going to be wearing mine over turtle necks as soon as the goose bumps set in. Gone are the da...

tartan dungarees & sheer sleeved shirt

Image
Jumper - c/o Glamorous , Tartan Dungarees - c/o Glamorous , Belt - Primark, Shoes - Boohoo I feel a bit like I'm about to do the highland fling in this post. My ma did take a few snaps where I was prancing around pretending I was playing bagpipes but they were way too cringey to ever see the light of day.. Unless I do eventually create another outtakes/Lydia-looking-like-an-idiot post?! I don't mind adding some tartan to my ever growing collection of dungarees though. They still go with plenty of things that are already in my wardrobe so that's lots more dungarees' outfits. Lovely! The best bit about these ones is that they're really soft and loose, so you can let the food baby hang out on  lazy days and smarten them up with heels and a belt for a night out.  bloglovin  / twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  shop  /  instagram x

zara trousers & COSMO BLOG AWARDS!!

Image
Jumper - c/o Glamorous , Trousers - Zara, Shoes - Boohoo I love that even though I'm wearing heels, on most of the pictures they have actually disappeared into the grass. Brilliant! I finally caved and jumped on the snappy sandal bandwagon. They're hot aren't they?! I don't know why it took me so long to be influenced by the hype, they're such a classy shape & go with just about everything. I bought them to wear on graduation (the outfit post is coming soon I promise!) and they were exactly what my tootsies needed. Other than that big occasion I've been wearing them with trousers like these Zara ones to make casual outfits a bit more fancy. Some of you may have already heard, but if not.. I only got nominated for the Cosmo Blog Awards ! Ahhh you have no idea how happy it made me. I was such a self conscious dweeb before I got into blogging & stuff like this gives me the biggest confidence boost. Thank you to anyone who nominated me, ...

disco pants uni OOTD

Image
Hat - H&M, Jumper - H&M, Bag - c/o La Moda , Leather Jacket - Topshop, Disco Pants - c/o Glamorous , Boots - Docs I think this hat may need surgically removing from my head.. or replacing with one in another colour. It just makes me feel Christmassy and festive the minute I put it on. When my new disco pants arrived I knew I'd end up wearing it with them. Cherry red & black fur is just too hot to be avoided! They are my first pair of 'mock' disco pants and I'm pretty impressed. They don't quite give the 'vacuum packed' effect that the American Apparel versions do, which is kind of good and bad at the same time. I want everything sucked in, but I want to be able to breath. Breathing is definitely easier in these & I've been wearing them with tights to make sure everything is suitably hoisted in! As I wore this outfit to uni I thought I'd include the bag.. isn't it a beaut?! Pointy studs and tassels  another ...
