LOOK AGAIN A/W HAUL

Image
A couple of weeks ago I showed you some of my favourites from two new collections from Look Again – a dreamy range from Stacey Solomon and some classic looks by Laura Scott. With A/W quickly coming round, I’ve picked out a few collection favourites for refreshing my wardrobe – think chunky knits, timeless coats and sheer layers. Stacey Solomon First up, I went extra snuggly with a few bits from the Stacey Solomon collection.  I love stocking up on fluffy jumpers at this time of year – the thought of being able to get wrapped up in an oversized knit makes the prospect of saying bye to summer not so bad! I went for the extra fluffy zip up cardigan, a good one for layering up in, then the black and white heart print knit… With a mostly monochrome wardrobe, I thought this would liven things up! Laura Scott After sorting out the cosy side of things, I picked some work wear bits ready for A/W months. The black shirt is definitely a staple, something I’ll...

BOOHOO HOLIDAY HAUL & TRY ON

Image
I’m not going to try play it cool… I’m already reaching that ridiculous level of holiday excitement. Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to get my act together and really sort out my holiday wardrobe – in the end I opted for a big Boohoo haul, getting the bulk of it sorted in one go. This year I’ve gone extra basic. I’m sticking to the colours I know I’ll wear again, and styles that I can add into my summer wardrobe at home. Actually, everything that arrived I’ve really loved! I never want to spend too much on holibob clothing (it seems daft when you spend your days in biknis anyway), so these bits are perfect for a week when my main goal is bronzing up. We’re off to Menorca this year, so expect plenty of holiday posts throughout July. I’m really looking forward to it this time round – as much as I love holidays, I can find the process a bit stressful! I’m a bugger for letting anxiety get the better of me, but I’m feeling much more relaxed about everything...

NEW IN | FASHION, BEAUTY & LIFESTYLE

Image
I'm so glad I got myself together and managed to film/edit this haul during the week - this weekend's weather has been way too lovely to spend time getting grumpy with iMovie. I'm typing this blog post up in the garden, making the  most of the evening sunshine... Ohhh how it's bloody marvellous to be back to Spring/Summer blogging. It just makes life so much easier!  Back to this week's video. I've not gone mad recently, but I'd collected a few bits together for an update on recent purchases. There's a mixed bag in there, consisting of (too much) makeup, a couple of fashion-y bits and some health & fitness items. Yup, still sticking to that 'better me' thaaang. I'm not about to morph into a fitness expert, but I'm still loving heading to the gym and wanting to keep on being better to my body. If you follow me on Snapchat (fashioninflux) you'll know I still eat too many pastries and drink even more sickly Starbuck's ...

BIRTHDAY NEWNESS

Image
I know not everyone is interested in this sort of thing, but I'm a nosey parker and love finding out what other folk got for their birthdays! I find this sort of thing is really handy too with Christmas coming up (blimeyyyy..). Maybe as inspiration for friends' presents or popping your 'rents in the right direction when they're asking what you'd like.. I know it helps my Ma out when I give her a bit more to go on! A few bits I've included in this post aren't actually in the 'What I Got For My Birthday' video below.. Some were things I picked up after birthday celebrations and others had to be cut out when my camera decided to have a stressy-fit and film a whole load of clips out of focus. Great times! The cashmere socks from The White Company were a ridiculous luxury I'd been lusting after for months so I was super duper happy to unwrap them! I know they're probably a silly expense, but I've definitely made it to that quali...

BARDOT BIKINI & A HAUL

Image
Bikini - New Look , Sunglasses - ASOS (oldies) I just thought I'd stick this bikini out there on it's own because I do indeed think it's larrrvely. Yeah, I'm not quite over the whole  strappy, sexy 'kini thing quite yet (I keep ordering them off eBay for about £2.. cheap stuff is officially addictive), but I think I am heading more towards the pretty stuff this year. Something a little more girly.. And if girly means big old Bridget Jones pants then I'm cool with that.  That's the holiday shopping started anyway! This one is in the haul I just uploaded, alongside a load of cosmetic-y bits & bobs that I probably didn't need. Ahhh you know how it is! youtube / bloglovin / twitter / facebook / pinterest / tumblr / instagram x

NEW IN: CAMERA, BASICS & BEAUTY

Image
Samsung NX Mini - John Lewis (gotta get that 2 year guarantee ha), Rust Top - New Look , Shirt Dress - New Look , Elegant Touch Stiletto Nails, Barry M Nail Varnish, Leather Case - Accessorize, Bag - c/o La Moda (this is old.. it just looked cute with the New Look stuff ha) Thought I'd do a quick round up on some newbies in my life. I had a bit of Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket (could have gone on petrol, food, general life necessities but meeeh.. everyone needs a treat every now and then right?!), so decided to put it towards something more substantial rather than loads of bits of crap. Hence the camera. I didn't really need another camera, but I do love all this photography stuff (despite not being that good at it) and I thought it'd be handy.. I love my DSLR but it's just a bit clunky to lug around. I'm so glad I got this one. I was going to get the NX3000 but decided with its lens size there wouldn't actually be much differenc...

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2013

Image
Real Techniques Duo Fibre Set, Estee Lauder Beautiful Fragrance Set, Chanel Bronze Universel, Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray, Paul Arden Book, Victoria's Secret Lounge Set, Real Techniques Setting Brush, Tangle Teezer, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, Estee Lauder Skincare Set, Pilgrim Jewellery Necklace Some of you may have seen that I did the 'What I Got For Christmas' video on my channel, so apologies if this is a bit of a double up for anyone. I'm trying to keep things from clashing by having things just for my blog & other bits just for YouTube, but I thought those of you that hadn't seen might fancy a nosey at a few of the lovely treats I received this year. Plus, I don't expect everyone to want to listen to me ramble on about things (my Yorkshire accent isn't exactly a complete delight!). Personally, I've loved having a peek at what everyone else got for Crimble.. people have such thoughtful family/friends!  I will be honest though,...

NEW YORK Haul! Victoria's Secret, Tiffany's & Beauty

Image
Going to New York obviously meant I had to do some shopping. As Boohoo provided spending money for the hol (yep, they are the bestest ever) I could use the pennies I'd saved up myself for treats. Other than the odd 'I LOVE NY' tee, I didn't buy any clothes. Do I need any more clothes?! No. Instead I went a bit crayyyzy for American beauty products. Sephora is like my dream. Make Up Forever had me wanting to spend mega bucks but I managed to just stick to a couple of products. As it seems like there’s a Victoria’s Secret on almost every street in New York, I had to get myself to some fancy undies. They are nicer than cheapo ones aren’t they?! I got the body spritz stuff too in the hope that it would suddenly morph me into a VS angel. I’m still waiting for that to happen. My biggest treat of the hol was my little Tiffany bracelet. I’ve never really been bothered about Tiffany jewellery but after going the big shop that all changed. I decided th...

holiday wardrobe sneak peek

Image
White Sandals - c/o Deichmann (£19.99), T-Shirt - H&M (£7.99), Bracelets - H&M, Clear Clutch - New Look (£9.99), Cut Out Boots - Topshop (£38.00) I went and got the last few bits to add to my case this weekend. Unfortunately, I managed to lose a Boots carrier with some stuff in. SO cross with myself, I'd bought my 'holiday nail varnish' and everything!  Anyway, what did make it home with me is all in this post. As per, I've ended up buying extras that weren't on my list. The black boots were my treat for recently getting a part time jobby to see me though internships (hello Motlon Brown sales assistant.. Ha ;)). I also decided I needed a pair of lightweight boots to take with me on my jollies as I just can't be parted with boots for a week. I'm currently hoping I can wear them in enough to be completely comfy for stomping round the streets of NY. The other pair of shoes are to wear with white outfits. There's a bit ...
