THREE LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS PARTY DRESSES

Image
Who isn’t a lover of a sparkly frock?! Okay, plenty of people, but even though I spend my life in all black, I’m still a fan of something glitzy. Christmas is a whole other ball game, and finding the perfect dress not only involves sourcing something occasion appropriate that suits you, but also something that feels a little festive. It’s not like red with a white fur trim is a must, but I do like something that makes me feel Christmassy… I can wear a bog standard LBD at any point in the year! For last minute options I’ve got three super sparkly numbers that can help you up the glam levels at the Christmas do. Motel Rocks Finn Slip Dress Okay, this is my most naaakud. It’s Christmas though, and if you can’t flash a bit of side boob at Christmas when can you?! Yup, you’re going to freeze your nips off, but you’re going to look like the twinkly star of Bethlehem on your night out. For dressing it down a little I think it’s perfect worn with a leather jacket and ankle boots....

They were the first two sites I went on while I was looking for my ‘dream’ holiday wardrobe and basically, I wanted everything. BOO. They’re definitely filling the gap that Nasty Gal has left on the UK market.  We can all dream right?! This time next week, I’ll be in New York. ARGH. I know, I’m sure you’re all thinking ‘Lydia will you please shut the hell up about this holiday’ but it is such a big deal for me ...

motel rocks dress & palmer's goodies

Kitty Cat Ears - c/o SheInside , Choker - DIY, Dress - c/o Motel Rocks , Boots - Aggy X Dr. Martens Palmer's Cocoa Butter Goodies - c/o Motel Rocks I can assure you it isn’t quite as snowy up North as it is in these pictures, I just ended up taking these pictures in a blizzard. That’s becoming quite a regular thing isn’t it?! Ah dear just put me on a plane to Ibeeefa please. The snow actually makes this little red dress look extra pretty I think, it makes it stand out more! I’ve been wanting one of these off the shoulder dresses for ages, I think it’s such a flattering style. I’m a big fan of flashing a bit of collar bone! You can get this dress in loads of colours and naturally, I’m lusting after them all. There’s a bright blue one that is dead pretty.. do I need another dress?! Motel Rocks also treated me to some loverrrly Palmer’s Cocoa Butter bits, day made! I al ways end up sniffing this stuff when I pop in Boots (everything smells too tasty ...

gothic bodycon dress

Hat - H&M, Choker & Neclace - DIY, Gothic Bodycon Dress - c/o Motel Rocks , Socks - Primark, Heelless Heels - c/o Miss Ikon Sorry about the last picture being blurry. I'm still working on this using a DSLR lark. It would seem that focusing is not my thing!  As I’ve said before, I don’t really go out at all in Sheffield. I hardly ever drink, and I’d rather save my money for when I’m back at Uni. However, when this dress arrived, I had to get glammed up. Again I could not be more in love with the Motel Rocks A/W patterns.. we all know I love something a little gothic! I wore it off the shoulders purely because I love that style, and I think you can get away with it in this dress. I’ve definitely got a thing for flashing a bit of collar bone.  Many of you on Twitter will have seen/been thoroughly bored by my constant tweets about getting a new phone & all the apps I’ve been playing with. I’ve ...

printed jacket & head chain

Image
Head Chain - c/o Celliana , Jacket - c/o Motel Rocks , White Dress - Republic, Socks - Primark, Shoes - c/o OASAP I'm pretty sure I've worn this dress/top a fair few times on my blog. I just thought it went perfect with this little jacket. Isn't the pattern cool? I think Motel Rocks always do well with their patterns.. I've got my eye on all their new gothic printed goodies too! I wore this jacket out with my disco pants & a crop top the other night and I actually went out thinking I looked pretty smart for me! Always a good thing. I will say that it seems like quite a small fitting.. if you're wanting to wear layers underneath it then I'd opt for a size up.  My hair was looking rather flat & boring so I jazzed it up with this rose gold head chain. Some of you old time readers may remember me having a go at making one.. I've got to admit my DIY was not a patch on this ha! It's not too flimsy ...

playsuit love

Image
Sunglasses - Primark, Playsuit - c/o Motel Rocks , Belt - New Look, Velvet Shirt - Charity Shop Boots - Docs I cannot believe how cute this playsuit is. The pattern is perfect for summer.. or it would be if we were actually having a decent one! It looks like a cute little dress from the front. Everybody knows that I love cute little dresses, but I don’t have to worry about losing my dignity in this beaut.  The lippy I’m wearing is called 'Ignite' by Illamasqua, a gorgeous orangey-red colour. I really should wear it more. I love blondes with red lipstick, but I always go for pinks for some reason. I'm a girly girl forevs. Every time I wear the playsuit I go for this lipstick, perfect match don’t you think?! P.S my hair is slightly dishevelled as it was raining when I took these pictures. No way was this weather going to stop me! Dedication at its best ;) ha.  x

body con dress

Image
Hat - Local Market, Poncho - Local Market, Dress - c/o Motel Rocks , Bracelet - Born Nostalgic , Socks - Topshop, Creepers - Ebay I can't help but love body con dresses. I have way too many. They can look so great dressed up with heels for a night out but can also be cute with extra bits to make them more casual. I love the pattern on this beauty, it so looks hot with a (fake) tan! I'll be wearing this dress for girly nights, but I'm sure it'll be making numerous appearances with creepers/Docs/Converse :) Today I've been out at Whitby being crazy. That's if crazy is having chips & fish and a wander along the sea front! Ha. I was hoping to find some cute gothy jewellery but there was nothing quite in my price range.. Wah! It's the last few days to enter my giveaways, definitely get entering ;) Sheinside Giveaway Delilah Dust Giveaway x
