MATCHING SETS & TEACUPS

Image
Underwear Set - c/o Next , Teacup & Saucer - Vintage Oh how it's nice to have underwear that actually matches. Now that's what I thought my 20s would be about - being generally more sorted, having good eyebrows & doing exciting stuff (aaand that's definitely not always the case..). This set is another little dream from Next that I'd been wanting to show you. It's got all that femininity in there, with a bit of extra padding to help my mosquito bites out - always appreciated.  It's probably a bit random to throw my knicks in there with teacups, but this kind of ended up a culmination of newness. I say new, this teacup & saucer set is actually probably really old. I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I've been stalking antiques shops recently and this was one of my latest purchases. It wasn't expensive, just one that I liked the look of. Isn't it pretty? I guess it's a bit of a Lady Gaga sort of thaaang but it's just righ...

CULOTTES & ANTIQUES TRIPS

Image
Hair - The Blow, Scarf - Boohoo, Jacket - c/o Oh My Love London, White Tee - Primark, Culottes - Primark, Boots - c/o Dorothy Perkins  To be honest, this outfit was 'mehhh'. Nothing too swish or majorly on trend, just comfort for a quick trip out round the antiquesy places. It was a couple of weeks back now (forever finding snaps lurking in iPhoto that I completely forgot about), just after I'd had my hair done at The Blow.. I'd managed to make the plaits last overnight and quickly shoved it in a ponytail. I've since tried replicating that big chunky braid and mine are just nowhere near as good.. Back to the YouTube tutorials to practise ha. Here I mostly wanted to get my culottes worn. I just cannot work out how to wear them while it's still cold.. Any ideas?! I'm not sure if tights will look totally ridiculous and I'm definitely too much of a wimp to brave them with bare legs. I'm hoping I can still wear them over spring/su...

CHECKS & ACCESSORIES

Image
Turtle Neck - ZARA, Waistcoat - c/o Boohoo ,  Trousers - c/o Loving Youth , Bag - Topshop, Boots - Forever 21 These trousers are back. I'd kind of forgot about them, but after lugging them out the bottom of my wardrobe (sorry lovely Burberry esq. trousers, I have mistreated you), I was straight back in them. To be honest, I probably wore this outfit last year, perhaps with slightly different accessories. Even though they're quite bold, I think they've got a bit of longevity when it comes to trends.. What with the Clueless vibes still doing the rounds.  On the accessories front I've just gone for my Topshop suede bag (as a lover of everything black I've managed to find plenty to go with it) and a few simple silver rings for my sausage fingers. Oh how it must be lovely to have long, elegant piano fingers but alas, it was not meant to be. On a related note I've also got semi-neat nails. After having my nails properly diiid over Crimble I...

MINT COAT & FLUFFY BOBBLE HAT

Image
Bobble Hat - c/o Amelia Jane London , Jumper - Boohoo, Coat - c/o Bank Fashion , Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Boots - Forever 21, Watch - c/o Daniel Wellington I'm wearing two things I'm neway obsessed with today. One's the fluffy bobble hat, and the other is the big thick coat. They're two winter essentials that I just know I'll wear to death over the coming months.  The coat is carrying on that pastel trend we had last year I guess.. Updating it with a bit of a Kimye vibe thanks to that big collar and it's sturdy material. I love it, plus it goes perfecut with my typically monochrome outfits. I'll start with a quick mention about the hat. It's from Amelia Jane London, who do incredibly cute fluffy winter accessories. I naturally went for black, but there's a part of me that really wants a baby pink one. They also do hats to go over riding helmets that are lovely enough for me to suddenly want to get on a pony. youtube  /  b...

CREAM CARDIGAN & MINI DRESS

Image
Necklace - Skiathos, Dress - Charity Shop, Cardigan - H&M, Belt - Primark, Boots - Forever 21 Currently, life is one big opportunity to get my legs out for a final few times before it's too chilly. I miss that about summer so much.. It's such a pain having to constantly think if tights go with an outfit or not. Yep, there's definitely an air of 'first world problems' going on here, but you know what I mean. Tights are boring .  I've just got a little charity shop dress on today with a really cheap, comfy cardigan from H&M. The dress reminds me of something much fancier from American Apparel - pretty basic but a good fit. Not bad for £3 eh?!  youtube  /  bloglovin  /  twitter  /  pinterest  /  tumblr  /  instagram x

BLACK JEANS & JACKET

Image
Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Top - Forever 21, Jacket - Boohoo, Jeans - Levi's, Slip Ons - Topshop I think this is one of my favourite smart/casual outfits, even if it is on more of the casual side. If I was off out, I'd probably just swap the slip ons for some strappy sandals to jazz it up. That's my go-to these days - if I'm going out I stick on jeans & some pretty heels.. Done. No faffing about with a dress that I'm pulling down all night (yeah, uni days - this happened a lot), or struggling with a playsuit that leaves me naked every time I nip for a wee. I'm not saying my party dress days are over, but I'm happy with casual evening outfits for now.  Well that was a little ramble wasn't it? Anyway, I'll quickly mention the jacket. I've worn it on here before but it's recently become a 'more than once a week' item. Y'know, those few things that you wear so much that you worry people will think that you haven...

HAND ME DOWN SHIRT

Image
Hat - H&M, Sunglasses - Cosmo Mag Freebie, Shirt - c/o My Brother's Wardrobe, Boots - Forever 21 My brother moved out and I raided his wardrobe.. fingers crossed he wasn't planning on coming back for this shirt. I was searching through the clothes he'd left behind in the hope that there'd be some suitably slouchy shirts that I could wear Kylie Jenner style.. Yup, she may come from that marmite family, but I can't help but still be obsessed with every outfit she wears. And those lips.. I don't know what the heck she did but I wouldn't mind the same. Anyhoo, I've gone off on a tangent with the Kylie Jenner infatuation. I've seen her in loads of oversized shirts - tied round her waist of worn like some lazy, everyday jacket, and this is now my piece to do the same with. It's too big for me, which makes it a good, loose 'dress' that I can also use as a summer jacket. Cheers little bro, as the saying goes - one man's junk ...

BLACK MOM JEANS

Image
Bustier - John Lewis (old - I had it for prom!), Clutch - c/o Emma Warren Design , Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Scrunchy - c/o Pretty Twisted , Sandals - Office Are mom jeans ever that flattering? Possibly not. Do I still like to wear them and wish I could be an extra in Saved By The Bell? Yep. I dunno, I'm a huge fan of mom jeans, but I've just got that feeling that in 20 years time it'll be something that we'll look back, a bit like my Ma did the first time round, and think 'Christ.. what am I wearing?'. All the same, for now my final verdict is that I'm still a fan. Low rise doesn't do much for me seen as I'm blessed with the short legs long body gene. These Levi's are a pair I much lusted after, but haven't actually worn as much as I should have. Even though I think they're lovely, I'm so glad we have all this super soft denim these days - these ones are so think and stiff!  I actually think it's likely that ...

OUTFIT LAYOUTS #2

Image
Outfit One Jumper - Zara, Trousers - c/o Loving Youth , Heels - Boohoo Outfit Two Jumper - As Before, Scarf - Boohoo, Skirt - Primark,  Bag - Boohoo Should I just have called this two ways with the wardrobe basic that I wear too much? Maybe I'm now the turtle neck girl. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who's worn them loads this winter?! Every season I seem to end up with something I wear to death, last A/W it was beanies, this year I'm stuck in roll neck jumpers. At least it's something my Nanna will approve of.. and maybe Ron Burgundy. I'm a bit of a Boohoo accessories fiend at the minute don't you think?! I'm a sucker for finding a bargain online. It's like ordering a present to you, from you. I'm forever just filling my basket up and then sitting there thinking 'shall I?'.. I usually cave at some point and order myself a little treat. Outfit One includes my most worn strappy sandals and Outfit Two featur...

BURBERRY PRINT TROUSERS

Image
Coat - H&M, Top - Topshop, Trousers - c/o Loving Youth , Heart Band Ring - Pandora, Butterfly Ring - c/o Jana Reinhardt , 90s Bracelet - eBay Who'da thought that Burberry would eventually shed some of its 'chav' connotations? Well, I hope it has, or I'm stood here looking like a total Vicky Pollard. I know these trousers aren't going to be for everyone, but I definitely love them. They're mega high waisted & could they possibly scream 'Cher' from Clueless any louder?! I think not. And yep, I know I'm obsessed with that girl! I just went quite simple today, popping on my go-to crop top and that coat that I need to take off. It's not the most practical or warmest (*ahem* spot the goosebumps..), but it makes me feel all swishy and glam, & I didn't even realise swishy and glam was a feeling. You know what I mean right?! Ha.  Jewellery wise everything was quite simple too. I'm forever in that little...
