Sunglasses - Skiathos Town, Top - Forever 21, Jacket - Boohoo, Jeans - Levi's, Slip Ons - Topshop I think this is one of my favourite smart/casual outfits, even if it is on more of the casual side. If I was off out, I'd probably just swap the slip ons for some strappy sandals to jazz it up. That's my go-to these days - if I'm going out I stick on jeans & some pretty heels.. Done. No faffing about with a dress that I'm pulling down all night (yeah, uni days - this happened a lot), or struggling with a playsuit that leaves me naked every time I nip for a wee. Halter Neck - Forever 21, Jeans - Vintage Levi's, Sandals - Office I'm back in these jeans after once again forgetting about them.. how could I forget about old school Levi's?! I keep thinking I might sell them, then I realise the kind of thing I'll want the moment they're gone. Everyone's got to have a good pair of black jeans in their life right? Outfit wise I was just off to my usual haunt (Meadowhall) so I wasn't wearing anything fancy. The top is just one I bought for my jollies that I never got round to wearing (along with a host of other stuff I didn't need) - thankfully there's still a bit of warm weather left meaning I can wear it in sunny/not so sunny Sheffield. The sandals are that pair I've worn to death since I got them. They're not too dressy for day but they make my stubby legs look a tiny bit longer. To be fair, I'm a bit obsessed with all black trousers anyway. I probably own about 4 pairs (why?!) and I'm forever stopping myself from adding the latest must have version to my life - maybe I'm on a quest to find the perfect black trousers?! I've never really been a jumpsuit/playsuit sort of girl - I couldn't really deal with that whole getting naked every time you need a wee thing. I've since altered my aversion for the posh onesie, and now cope with the problem peeing as I like them way too much. I mainly like this one because it's bloody comfy. Beyond comfy in fact. It is a bit like wearing your bedtime onesie for a night out. Since the days of wearing onesies to fancy dress student nights are gone, I'll go for the next best thing. Outfit - c/o Forever 21 Top - DIY Tie Dye So here's the second part of my festival inspired DIY extravaganza and even if I do say so myself, I love it quite a lot! When I first set about on a tie dye mission, I did think the outfit would look better with the top just plain white. Thankfully, once I put it all together I decided that the bright pink actually went really well.. in a kind of clashy, 'I'm too cool to match my clothes' kind of way.  Outfit - c/o Forever 21 DIY Shorts - Update on how I did these to come! For me, summer is the season of doing DIYs. I've spent many a warm day making friendship bracelets in the sun, sitting stirring a bucket full of tees getting tie dyed & flicked bleach over denim like a crazy person. With the garden suddenly looking like spring has sprung, out came the bucket & the bleach. As I'm trying to get into the summer spirit, Forever 21 kindly hooked me up with a couple of festival esq outfits perfect for going to town on DIY wise. If you can't wear bleached up, high waisted shorts at a festival when can you?! These distressed beauties actually came out a lot better than I expected.. you can't really go wrong with this sort of thing but you never know exactly what the result will be!
